Haven debarkation. Breakfast in Haven at 7:30. Done at 8:15.

Mosey back to room and Arnie took us to the Owner suites... Plenty of photos online but I took some anyway..

Free booze in room... In case you are wondering other Haven guests pay for mini bar. So go to Haven bar for free drinks...

Dinner at La Cucina last night. It was a birthday dinner so I am biased but it was really wonderful.

I am amazed at how shipbuilding has changed. Here it the Glory that looks like she's 30 years old (actually only 13)

And this one launched this year...

I think the Escape is second to Oasis. We have been on the Dream by Carnival and it really did not impress at all.

In to port at 6:30... I will say this about the Captain he is on time at every port and leaves on the dot.

Your photos are stunning! What devise do you use for the underwater shots?

Underwater I used a GoPro Hero 3+ and my iPhone 6s for cleanup.

A couple of the photos above were taken from snaps from the videos I took with the GoPro. I was suprised how well they cleaned up..

I wanted to ask you about The Baths tour. I'm assuming you did the NCL Bath/Snorkel trip, did you feel rushed?

 

 

 

My husband, kids and I were there 10 years ago, so I thought we'd do this on our Escape cruise in July to relive it. But I'm afraid we'll be disappointed, because it was pretty deserted when we were there last. Maybe, we should just stay on Tortola.

 

 

 

My concern is with the pictures of people lined up to walk thru, can you not go on your own as in not stay with the group?

 

And it doesn't seem like you get that much time to snorkel at Devil's Bay after.

 

 

 

Should we stay or go? Appreciate your thoughts.

Definitely go. We were rushed as we did the snorkel tour and stayed with the group. We could have just went on our own but decided to stay with the group as this was our first time...

The baths are cool to see but the snorkeling was what made it really special. If your not into snorkeling then spend more time in the baths. Maybe just go the Baths tour by itself without the snorkel if you do just want to see them. There is a restaraunt in the baths area as well.

I will post more photos when I summarize later today.

I hear Jost Van Dyke is nice as well so I would definitely do something in Tortola.

Ok to add even more insanity to Nassau my kids saw two boats tendering in as well.. Oasis!! So that's like 15,000 people slamming the port in a few hour period... Time to skip Nassau...

We did find a little alley but mostly crowds..

I can only imagine what Atlantis was like.

One note on Haven food. It is top quality but the menu does not change. Breakfast lunch and dinner all the same as I posted earlier. We found ourself trying different spots. Especially for Lunch..

^^^ parking was a breeze at terminal. Dropped bags off and were parked in 5 min. I would imagine off site is not bad but we did not want to deal with 5 people and bags etc...

Ok Nassau... Imagine this 4 ships pull in between 11 and 12 pm..

Then throw in a labor parade....

Guess what happens to the traffic..

So we thankfully had a light shopping day and went back to this...

That is our Bahamas... Many people stayed on the boat.. We HAD to get souvenirs...

I have a few questions about the Baths.

 

Did you do it on your own or through NCL?

 

It seems like there were a lot of people What time did you get there?

 

What's with the life jackets? This is the first time I've seen pictures of peole wearing life jackets on this excursion.

We did the NCL excursion. We met at 7 am and headed out around 7:30 and made it there near 8 am. Snorkled to the beach / bath entrance and got through the bath by 930. Then had about an hour and a half to free swim with the tarpon.

Those are snorkel vests not life vests. They basically can be blown up to provide more buoyancy.

We were back around 11:45 and had some rum punch on the way back.. Easy trip..

Here are the extra beds in the 2 bedroom villa. It says sleeps up to six but I am not sure where number 6 sleeps. There is no Pullman in living room area , just a sofa sleeper...

I still owe someone a lunch menu from Haven but it was less than stellar. Hot dog, hamburger veggie wrap and chicken Caesar wrap etc...

We had a nice relaxing lunch and I laughed as people got up they changed the Haven lounge covers.. Nice touch...

Not overcrowded had a cabana to myself at 1 pm...

All kinds of fish and a small pod of tarpon amongst millions of baitfish... They were so thick you could not see bottom. I swam through them to find the tarpon underneath..

It's well worth the time but our guide rushed us through the baths. Many have said break free and take your time. I would have to agree with that. Make sure you don't try to go the other way through the baths it is basically one lane and takes forever. A family was trying to go upstream and was not finding it very easy..

Great spot and we were very pleased overall with Tortola...
