  1. I used the link on their website and sent them a snap of my platinum status from NCL website. They granted me black status with MSC from platinum with NCL. Took about a week for them to email me back with the status match. I haven't used it yet or booked anything with them but plan to try them in the future.

  2. Ah bummer I don't think I qualify for this. I just looked it up it looks like you have to book with Amex Travel or one of their authorized travel agencies to get the credit. I book with CAS so I doubt I can get . O well. But thank you for putting it out there hopefully others can snagged this deal!!!

  3. Last month on the Escape (9/9/18) they had magician/comedian Kyle Marlett in the supper club for a show and it was EXCELLENT. He did 2 dinner shows in the supper club and both were free shows. Dinner was excellent as well- salad, salmon (or a pasta dish) and some kind of freakishly delicious chocolate cake (not the overly sweet crap they serve in the buffet). I got lucky and booked the show on the app as soon as I boarded, both shows sold out quickly.

I leave this Sunday on the Escape and hope they will have something similar again.

    Not raunchy enough? :classic_rolleyes:

I will find out starting this weekend.

You'll have to report back to us after your cruise :classic_biggrin:

I stayed about 20 minutes and didn't see anything raunchy up to that point, if I had maybe it would have kept me interested. Better entertainment out of Mr. Sexy legs and the ultimate dance clash those are not to be missed!

Because in general people are either stupid or don't listen or both. The same people who walk out are the same idiots who talk all thru the lifeboat drill even though they have people all around them saying to stop talking. God forbid they keep their mouths closed for 10 minutes Lol

Or maybe they just value their time and find the show boring :classic_wink:

  6. I was one of those people walking out of this show on the Breakaway. I had high hopes for the show and I'm all for adult humor, raunchy, suggestive etc none of that bothers me. I walked out because to me this show was a real snoozer! I made it about 20 minutes in and thought wow this show is so lame what am I doing wasting my time here when there is other fun stuff to do. That is why I left because it was boring and I imagine all those others felt the same.

Burn the floor on the other hand I thought was fantastic and I have seen it every single time I've been on the Breakaway.

  7. You can arrive any time you want in NYC as they don't bother checking arrival time on the docs. The lines don't start moving till around 10 am to get through security so your best chance is to get there before 10 when it starts to get real busy. They usually start embarking around noon time.

One thing new I have seen on my last couple of cruises is that they have people in the port signing passengers up for different things before even getting on the boat. I was able to sign my kids up for Splash Academy right there in the terminal before embarking which was a real time saver! I had people asking me if I was interested in spa passes etc. so maybe it is possible to get your vibe passes also in the terminal. I'm not positive just throwing it out there since it seems to be something new they are doing.

Good luck and enjoy your cruise!

  8. No spooky stories to report but NCL has a fun excursion I did last year that remains one of my favorites just because of the novelty of it. We got on a glass bottom boat and sailed into the Bermuda triangle late at night and it was ALOT of fun! The boat captain was very funny and made it a great excursion. Learned a lot about the Bermuda triangle and also heard alot of the spooky stories. We visited a ship wreck (lit up by his flashlight) as well as coral reefs etc. Stars were AMAZING that night. I would highly recommend this tour especially around Halloween. They do a daytime and night time one, night time one was fantastic and definetly spooky sailing into the triangle late at night.

  9. Jan you are so blessed!

In my family we love doing personalized ornaments to remember special events or places we've been. Sometimes we hand make them, sometimes we have something etched or engraved etc. Maybe put a little anchor ornament engraved with the year of your special cruise in their stockings. Some great memories!

Enjoy your extra special cruise with the family!

  10. It does appear that this replaces OBC but, depending on room type, it may be a much better deal. For an oceanview the OBC was only $60.00 now you get free wifi worth $178.50 (for a 7 days cruise price is $25.50 per day).

So for those that want wifi in oceanview or balcony it is a better deal. This one is only around for a week and then I'm guessing OBC credit will come back as it frequently does.

  11. Unlimited Internet Package:

Offer will be applied to the first guest in the stateroom.

Internet Package is per stateroom. One login per stateroom.

Internet package is not available at Great Stirrup Cay or Harvest Caye.

    Internet package includes activation fee.

The unlimited WIFI package gives you access to unlimited web surfing, email access, social media access and apps.

This package does not allow streaming.

Can be used only on one device at a time.

Voice and video call features are available.

Internet package can only be used during the cruise portion of the vacation.

I like the idea of the voice and video call feature. Always find myself calling back home as soon as I get into a port so will be nice to be able to call whenever I want (if the service actually works). That plus an occasional text and checking emails is great for me. I wouldn't pay for the service but as an additional freebie I think it's awesome!

  12. Promos won't make a difference, as I am booking this with Canada at Par promo, so I loose the drink package, dining package, etc... options.

Price for the 2 connecting insides is $600 more than have all of us into 1 balcony cabin.

My kids want the balcony -- not sure why, my wife wants the extra bathroom...

Happy wife...happy life. I think it's an easy decision ;)

  13. Balcony no question. Better cabin and a few $ cheaper. I sail in balconies with my 3 kids all the time (16, 12 and 7) and never feel overly cramped. The kids will have a Pullman bed and the convertible sofa which is fine. I personally like drinking coffee and relaxing on the balcony without waking the kids up early in the morning. In an inside it's pitch black and you can't do much without putting on the lights waking everyone up. With a balcony I can open the curtain a tiny bit to get just enough light to make some coffee and go outside and relax for awhile.

Also, I don't think insides have coffee makers or a couch just the beds and the room is really small. Nice to have that second bathroom but I would easily trade that for a balcony.

Good luck with your decision and enjoy your cruise!
