In many cases the entertainers vary from the waitstaff and others in that they have free run of the ship when they are not entertaining whereas the waitstaff my not rub elbows with the passengers and it's strictly forbidden for passengers to go into the crews quarters.
Heidi
Heidi is quite correct that passengers are not allowed in crews quarters. I have been in the captains quarters, chief engineers quarters and some of the senior officers quarters, but not crew quarters such as our room attendant.
Conversely, most crew members are not allowed in guest cabins except to do their job.

Well... so much for not panicking the passengers - now we all know about it! :D
S.G.
Ssssssshhhhh!!! Not "everyone" knows, just the alert CC'ers. Then, anyone smart enough to be on this board, is smart enough not to panic!! Enough said:D :D

Alpha is a medical emergency, Bravo is fire.
Correct answers. The ships doctor and medical staff will respond to the Alpha signal. The Bravo signal is for fire, whether it be large or small.
The signals are designed to not panic passengers.

Thank you for sticking up for us "old farts"!! Yep.........I've slowed down a bit...........I don't burn the candle at both ends every night.........but the candle in me still burns..............and I don't consider myself old!!
My wifes parents, who are both in their middle 80's are cruising with us on the Mercury Panama Canal cruise this December. Now....... there, you are getting close to geriatric..........but still not there for them!!:)
