We had a great time in January to the Southern Caribbean. We went to the beach at all the ports....great weather and water temps. I believe Mario, who was our Asst HD, is now the HD. Great guy.

I agree -- with certain wines, the vodka with splash of cranberry and diet sprite or club soda, bloody Mary's and sugar free mojitos. If you discover some other cocktails, with reduced sugar, let us know!

We like the Bayside Marketplace too. Lots of good food, shopping, ATM, Starbucks and wifi options. It is also a very inexpensive taxi/uber ride to the port from Bayside.

And beyond the Haven, it is great when NCL allows us to put two certificates for a cabin. We used two last month on the Breakaway.

Thank you for these reviews. I plan to buy an Olympus TG-4. Have not seen any discounts so will probably go through Amazon.

By chance, has anyone received anything different that Duc De Valmer?

Very helpful review. We experienced the same on the Breakaway vibe. Some days people do not show up and there is lots of room. When all show up, it is full. Bar guys are the best. No pool but hot tubs.

No greater feeling of joy than finding your lost purse or wallet! Been there, done that. Going from my lowest point to my highest! It is amazing how much more conscious we became of our valuables for the rest of the trip after a similar experience.

Do you know the date when Adrian will leave and who will replace him? Any word on when Tyler, the CD, will leave too?

Ha... loved your comment about Aquafina! Looks like NCL is growing for next 10 years and perhaps their NCLH stock too.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Announces Order for Next Generation of Ships for Norwegian Cruise Line
Company Contracts with Fincantieri S.p.A. to Build Four New Ships with Option for Additional Two
MIAMI, Feb. 16, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (Nasdaq:NCLH) (together with NCL Corporation Ltd., "Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings", "Norwegian" or the "Company") today announced it has reached an agreement with Fincantieri S.p.A. to construct the next generation of extraordinary ships for its Norwegian Cruise Line brand. Four ships are on order for delivery in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025, with an option for two additional ships to be delivered in 2026 and 2027.
The four 140,000 gross ton ships will each accommodate approximately 3,300 guests. The new class of ships will build upon the highly successful offering of freedom and flexibility found on the brand's most recent Breakaway-Plus Class ships and feature a host of innovative designs that will further elevate its already award-winning guest experience. A priority of the prototype design is energy efficiency, with the aim of optimizing fuel consumption and reducing the impact on the environment. Details on the ships' many innovative guest facing and first at sea features will be announced at a later date.
"This new class of ships will continue Norwegian Cruise Line brand's legacy of introducing meaningful innovation to the cruise industry," said Frank Del Rio, president and chief executive officer of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. "This order continues to highlight our disciplined newbuild program, extends our growth trajectory well into the future, enhances our already attractive earnings profile, and drives expected long-term returns for our shareholders."
"For the past 50 years, Norwegian Cruise Line has been focused on offering our guests the very best in cruising," said Andy Stuart, president and chief executive officer of Norwegian Cruise Line. "It is with great excitement that we look ahead to our next 50 years, which includes this next generation of ships that will offer guests the innovative experiences that have come to define the Norwegian Cruise Line brand."
"We are extremely excited to collaborate with Norwegian Cruise Line and this partnership allows us to include a new prestigious client in Fincantieri's portfolio," said Giuseppe Bono, CEO of Fincantieri S.p.A. "We are very proud of the innovative design of these ships and recognize the various stakeholders of the export chain who have contributed decisively to achieving this goal. The significant value of the order will provide substantial economic benefits by extending the employment horizon of our shipyards, and we are honored to support the growth of our country's economy."
The contract price for each of the four vessels is approximately €800 million per ship. The Company has obtained export credit financing with favorable terms to fund 80 percent of the contract price of each ship delivered through 2025, subject to certain conditions.
, and has the option to introduce two additional ships for delivery in 2026 and 2027.

We have sailed with Mustafa several times over the years! He is truly one of the best. Not only do the passengers like him -- the crew do as well.

Good to read you had a positive cruise on the Escape. It is never easy that all four (including two teenagers) would enjoy the cruise. I appreciate the differences you noted vs. Disney and the Oasis. My DW and I have had the same experience with the water. Reading your review gets us more excited for our Escape sailing in March.

Heartbreaking to read the article about Wolf's drowning at the beach. Such sadness in the midst of a happy cruise. I can't imagine the grief of his fiancé. Lots for prayer....

I may have missed it... but what is the brand name of Sparkling Wine you are receiving in the cabin? Did anyone try to exchange it for a bottle of wine?

For the Jewel -- Noel Chaves is truly one of the great ole timers. Bruno D is outstanding as the concierge. Enjoy the Jewel

We're interested too about the current staff on the Escape. We can't agree more with Sean, Martin, Papi (Jose) and Adrian -- they are the best. The Joy will be blessed with the best staff. Look forward to seeing Jovo and his staff in March.

Georgia, thank you for your 10 points! Although it is a little item, my DW and I are happy that the service charge is included in the Latitude meals at the 4 restaurants. It was always confusing for us between what was covered in the SDP and the Latitude meals. Of course, we know we can tip extra for the special service....
