On board and relaxing! We saw a few people test positive and get taken over to a quarantine area which was really sad, but we’re here now.

Disappointed to lose an evening at Ocean Cay but just grateful to have made it on the ship and time to enjoy that cruise life!!!

  2. Yeah, James Van Fleet. He's the guy who kept telling RCI that there was a "window" for Liberty to dock in Galveston during hurricane Harvey last year. Thus, they didn't cancel the cruise until 11 AM the Sunday the cruise was to depart and the port had been closed since the previous Thursday. Dozens if not hundreds of people were stranded in hotels in the Houston area for days, some with no electricity or no water. Don't believe I'll depend on him for accurate hurricane information!

  3. We just booked cabin 9249, the cabin on the end. That cabin looks so awsome becouse you also have a Aft View from that cabin...

So, how was it? Were you able to access the elevator that was closest to your room? I know this is an old thread but hoping you are still around.

  4. I don't think that is there anymore, They have been removing them during the dry docks. All 5 of the Voyager class ships had them when first built. On Adventure, the most recent Voyager class ship to come out of dry dock (actaully wet dock the last time), they moved the starboard side part of the workout area to where the hot tub was, and used that starboard side area for new JS staterooms.

I was heart broken when we boarded Adventure after the refurb. Glad to hear Navigator still has it

  5. I wonder why Caribbean Princess is in #21 not in Princess' normal berth - 2?

Port Canaveral - Zuidy has prime spot but the camera has not moved from Mickey's ship and the Whale Tail - like they usually do when Royal Well, it will make it easier when the 3 ships depart to keep them all in view.

At Carib is sitting in that spot. Usually it's a 2-3 minute port area focus, then it moves to another area for same amount of time and usually a third area - depending on fullness of the port. Today with Zuidy there, once she arrived - very nice sail-in following camera, they seem to be ignoring her and only focussing on the two regular visitors. Oh well, I did get to see her sail-in.

They have tents set up at #2 prepping for the Boat Show. It starts Nov 1 I believe.

  6. The last ship I was on, Zuiderdam, did not have doors that I could magnets on.

Can anyone tell me if the newer ships, specifically the Nieuw Amsterdam does?

I usually put a few magnets on the door so I can find my way home at night, yes, even on HAL.

Thank you in advance for any replies.

  7. Sorry we're not great people to ask about shows. There are 3 of us in our cabin and only 1 of us has been to 1 show. We like our balcony too much. The little my friends have seen in the lounges they feel is too loud. They do like the adagio strings in the explorers lounge but it's very cold there. Apparently they're doing a major overhaul of the entertainment venues at their dry dock in December.

Yes, I hear they will make changes soon. Thank you! I think all shows are loud!

  8. We were just off NA last week and it was very good and a nice experience. To us, much better than LeCirque.

Our only “complaint” was that they don’t serve the entire menu from Sel de Mer on Koningsdam. This is their own concept restaurant, so we thought the menu would be the same everywhere, but the pop-up was missing a few things (and they just happened to be things that we really enjoyed). If you’ve never eaten there on Koningsdam, you won’t know what you’re missing, so that shouldn’t matter.

Happy sailing...and more importantly, happy eating!!
