This was in the 47 page summary that nobody is printing. They used to send a nice booklet. 

The CVS in Fl. are scheduling Moderna only at this point.. Our Walgreens is scheduling Moderna also.

Pfizer is to be released next week.

I keep trying to find that info on MyVikingJourney, but then I think I read here it's not there. 

(it's only on the PDF statement) 

Over the past several years we have been invited to enter a sweepstakes for a river or ocean cruise. I have never seen a winner announced. I would think that announcing the results would be part of the PR strategy.  Have I missed something?

They have the red anchor on the invoice.

.Got through today at 11am ,just as they came on line. Right about ignoring the recording.Able to book reasonable flights and seats but will keep an eye for changes.

Did you miss the point that they are not taking calls unless you are 60 days or less days from departure? Not from passengers or travel agents.

Currently Air Plus is not available until 60 days prior to departure. I thought that the value of Air Plus was to allow early bookings and allow deviations to arrive early or depart later that the scheduled cruise. In order to plan outside excursions the arrival and departure information is needed. We have paid willingly for this consideration. In our past 10 years+ we have always used Air Plus to reserve flights as much as 9 months out. We were able to customize flights and choose seats.

If Viking is no longer able to provide this service, they should not offer and charge for it.

Any thoughts?

Check your airline's web site. AA states that Italy was opened 6/21/21 to fully vaccinated US passengers without a PCR test. All rules are subject to change. The airlines are the gate keepers. I will check monthly then weekly starting in Nov. We are on the 12/22 cruise. Rome to Istanbul.

Viking will update their requirements as the date nears.

We plan on getting tested prior to the flight anyway.Just to be safe.

Trying not to confuse the issue but on our return flight to USA the check in at United was the only place that asked for the required PCR test. Nobody asked for it in USA. I think that it is the airlines responsibility to ensure compliance.  

Post 901 coolbeansva on our roll call. They cancelled the trip.

Delta cancelled flight from Boston due to weather. 267 passengers affected.

FF now working. I guess the knuckleheads got their wrists slapped. About time they listened to customers.

You cancel reservations on My Calendar. If you cancel your reservation, there might not be another available at desired time. Have to cancel first then rebook.

I received a call on  Sunday from Viking to discuss and questions about our Iceland cruise.7/10

Method for proof of vaccination has not been resolved. Iceland has not finalized their requirements.

This will be  done well before sailing.

Excursions at this point will be handled exclusively by Viking. Not yet finalized.

Viking will provide test results needed to reenter  US.

The Chef's table daily menus will be visible when booking as in the past.

I was able to book Restaurant reservations for the week. When specialty opens, they will be overwritten

by the new choices.

We discussed problems with the new MVJ app. I gave her a list of problems that need attention.

I copied this from the e-visa site. Since we will be departing from Istanbul airport a visa is necessary.

According to the Law on Foreigners and International Protection which entered into force on 11th April 2014, those foreigners who arrive at sea ports and intend to visit the seaport city or nearby provinces for touristic purpose are exempt from visa provided that their stay does not exceed seventy two (72) hours. However, if you arrive in/depart from our country by air for your cruise tour, you must obtain a visa.-

I asked the Viking Rep and was advised that a VISA was required. MVJ for this cruise also directs to a source to obtain Turkey Visa.

The Turkish e-visa site states that any embankment or disembarkation in Turkey requires a visa.

I intend to secure visas to be safe.

We are booked on Ancient Mediterranean Antiquities 12/22/21-1/5/22 with 3 stops in Turkey.Bodrum,Ephesus,Troy and Istanbul. We will fly out the next day from Istanbul . We are not extending in Turkey.

Has anyone experienced the Visa program?

How much time is needed prior to the voyage to secure the Visa? 

What was the cost?

I am having the same problem, however my wife can sign in using facebook.

The guaranteed reservations are for the 2 specialty restaurants. Once on board you can book additional dates for Chefs Table and Manfredis. Reservations are not required for the main dining room.
