  1. Seas were much calmer on our entry into Bermuda today and got to watch them dock, which was fun Today's excursion was a bus tour of the island, as I wanted to see as much of the island as I could, it seemed like a good option and I feel like I did. One bummer today is when I got back to the ship, all the pools in the thermal suite were closed for maintenance. So a quick steam it was!
  2. So the crossing yesterday was one of those sea days where they tie vomit bags to the stairwells🙄 they also closed all the outdoor spaces. I didn't get sick but wasn't feeling great. Got some of the sea sick meds they were giving out for free at the front desk and med center and that totally worked. Starting feeling better right away and by the afternoon I was feeling basically normal. I like this ship! I think the decor is really pretty, plenty of restaurants and bars.
  3. Id heard around 1500 vs a capacity of 2300. Which feels right to me though a lot of people were sea sick yesterday so lower crowds than might be normal. There were like 10 tables in the MDR at 8pm
  4. Says 9pm- 5am. But it was open early this morning before we'd docked.
  5. Night 1 was a comedian, last night was a variety show and tonight is the aerial acrobats. Haven't seen any of them but might try tonight. Main shows seem to be at 7 and 9. Live music in most of the lounges seems fairly constant 5-9 and DJs in the club areas after that
  6. Hi! I'm on the Pearl from Boston to Bermuda and Bar Harbor this week. I didn't buy wifi but should have service in ports so let me know if you have any questions about the ship or these ports!
  7. I should mention I had carry ons only which helped a lot.
  8. I MADE IT!! I got off the plane at 1:55 and made it to the cruise terminal by 2:15. And all the staff were like, why are you rushing, you have plenty of time. @LGW59 thanks for the tip on the cab! Taxi driver was amazing. Thought I might die which is exactly what you want from a cab driver in that situation. And thanks to everyone else for your tips and support!
  9. Thanks all. More background: my flight was supposed to leave at 5:40pm. They kept pushing it farther and farther back until 11pm we actually got on a plane. Sat there for 45 minutes and then they came to tell us, we didn't have a pilot. So it was nearly midnight before I learned my flight was canceled and that's why options like train/ bus/ drive weren't viable at that point. Will go to airport for new flight time and see what happens but my hopes are pretty low at this point, given the hangover Boston seems to have today.
  10. Thanks all! It's looking worse now but I have travel insurance. Trains were sold out too and so were rental cars. I thought I planned enough ahead with coming in the night before and about 3 flights away from the last flight of the night yesterday but I'm not sure what I could have done about this level of cancelations. I think ONE of the TEN afternoon/ evening flights to Boston from DC yesterday made it. (All airlines).
  11. Hi. I was supposed to fly to Boston tonight to get on the Pearl leaving tomorrow, but my flight tonight was canceled (I did not book my flights thru NCL). 1. How fast could I likely get from Boston airport to the cruise terminal? (My new flight gets in at 11:30am, *if* it leaves on time and departure time is 4:00pm). 2. Has anyone ever missed their departure and met the ship at a port? The NCL rep told me they'd need to get permission from the boat for me to do this and that could take 24 hours. 3. Any other thoughts or advice?
