Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I've found several older threads about how to go about booking a Havana class room online, but none gave any specifics on how to actually book one of these rooms.I've selected dates 2 years in advance.. and cannot find the option to book one. I saw the Havana pools for the first time on a cruise to Mexico on the Panorama. My wife and I go on several short cruises each year...but in all of those bookings online... I never saw mention of Havana rooms. Do I need to call customer service to book one? I'm guessing they'd probably sell more bookings if their website was better. But that's just me I guess. Anyway, if one of you who has successfully booked one of these rooms knows the "secret sauce" to book one of these rooms... let me know. Thanks in Advance Joe
  2. Update: the check came today from Bottom line - Pay mode X. It took 11 weeks. So this matter is closed. Thanks so much to this group for your help and understanding in this matter. Now I know what to do should I ever have a shipboard account credit in the future. All the best, and Thanks 😊 Joe and Tammi Sands Las Vegas, NV
  3. Billco, thanks... that is the answer I was looking for... I have no problem waiting... since I was willing to have the credit put onto my December cruise anyway. All my money is refundable OBC.. so l wait now that I know 4 months is how long it takes. All the best, Joe and Tammi
  4. Well my previous topic got me flamed so I am trying again, this time with more "civility" My wife and were on a princess cruise which ended in Southampton on June 13th. Because of cancelled ports we ended up with over $700.00 in refundable credits. Because we have never had a credit in over 35 years of cruising we assumed it would be returned to the CC on file. Apparently that is not the way Princess does it. I called the main number and was connected to a nice lady in the business office. She told me it takes 6 to 8 weeks to get a check. After 8 weeks passed I called back and was told they were not working on June's cruises yet...and that it would take 10 weeks. I guess from what I hear I just have to be more patient. Sorry I upset people with my last post. That was not my intent. All the best from Las Vegas, Joe and Tammi
  5. PT Mary, I did not make accusations... I explained what happened. This matter cannot be resolved through 1800 Princess... it has to be resolved through business office number... and wait times are at least 90 minutes... I've called three times and had the call dropped 2 of the 3... I'm currently on hold for over 75 minutes so far. I truly wish you the best PT Mary. Joe
  6. Because nobody told me about the Magic method...until I got home... that's why. Do you really need to Rub it in? Joe
  7. Thanks to all that replied... Yes it was refundable credit... 2 ports were cancelled... we had excusions booked that were cancelled (refundable) and port charges for the cancelled ports (refundable) I verified with passenger services that the credit was indeed refundable. I asked if it could be held as an FCC...they said no... I would have used the "magic method" had I known about it... I only recently learned of it. While I agree with Don about customer service should be equal for all... in an ideal world that would be true. But loyalty plans frequently have special numbers... and priority service for their best customers. We have lost our way on this post, however... my purpose was to warn newbies to CC (though I don't post much...I've been on CC for many years) a warning not to let Princess hold their money so as not to have my experience be repeated to them. I feel I have done that.... and I won't make that mistake again. Again thanks for the kind words. Joe and Tammi
  8. My wife and I were on the island princess for a transatlantic which ended in South Hampton on June 13, 2022. We had a $740.00+ credit on our shipboard account. Not ever having had that in 20+ cruises, I figured that the money would be credited back to our credit card on file NOPE! After a couple weeks had passed I called Princess and endured about a 3 hour wait... to be told that "I must transfer you to the business office" I was on hold 90 minutes for that. The young lady then td me "to be patient, return of credits must be paid in check form and take 6 to 8 weeks. I called back after 8 weeks... and after another 2 hour hold time ( the first representative gave me her "direct" number) and this representative told me.. "actually they are taking up to 10 weeks now". Earlier this week I called back (10 week mark) and was on hold for 2 hours, someone picked up and then hung up on me. I am beyond frustrated with Princess. Heck of a way to do business, especially for an "Elite" status passenger. I'm looking for a new cruise line... is there any line out there that doesn't keep you on hold for a minimum of 90 mins? Lesson learned, I'll NEVER make that mistake again. Joe and Tammi in Las Vegas
