  1. They stated that they went to the doctor upon returning home and that was the diagnosis. I'm guessing the doctor tested them for it.
  2. As I've said before, I'm not suggesting that it be a rule.
  3. How mobile are the seniors? That would probably factor into which excursions you might do.
  4. I don't know. Others would have to weigh in on that (pardon the pun).
  5. I think the implication was that people would voluntarily reduce how much they took. I don't recall seeing anyone suggest that doing that would be forced on anyone. If forcing it was suggested I must have missed it.
  6. I don't think it was suggested here that anyone's onboard behavior be controlled.
  7. Not sure what that has to do with wasting food in the Windjammer but whatever.
  8. I'm not talking about micromanaging anything. I'm talking about supply and demand.
  9. Yes I know that but if enough people consistently didn't take as much food, over a long enough period of time, the cruise line would realize that they could reduce the amount they purchase and prepare in the future. If the demand goes down, the supply can be reduced.
  10. To me a 10 represents perfection, and I rarely encounter perfection in life.
  11. Even if they could get off in a US port, I don't think banks would perform this conversion for them unless they held an account there.
  12. I was responding to someone that said they can go into a US bank and convert them.
  13. No, it's a serious question. Are they allowed off on the days that ships are in US ports? What about ships that don't even go to US ports?
  14. Because they don't like them and they are trying to get rid of them.
  15. I wouldn't think that the people that receive cash tips would be allowed off in US ports because they are busy on turnaround day. Also, according to a previous post on this thread, banks don't perform such services for non-account holders.
  16. Exactly! If people didn't take as much food, the ship would not require as much food in the first place.
