Koningsdam 7 Day Mexican Riviera
30th Wedding Anniversary
-
I booked the 9/11 sailing earlier this week and didn't even think about the date.

I was supposed to be on one of the cancelled Gem sailings this October. Alas it was not to be.

The milkshakes were covered on our Mexican Riviera cruise in Jan 2020 and they were awesome.
-
NCL just did the same thing. We have a trip booked with them for October. It is Canada/New England so I'm not holding out much hope.
-
I've been on 5 Alaska cruises and have never not enjoyed my verandah.

My experience of the Seattle boarding was very smooth when we went in May of 2019. We were in a verandah cabin with no special boarding privileges. Arrived at the dock shortly after 10, dropped off the luggage, went through the check in process and waited in the big room. Boarding started shortly after 11 and by 11:20 we had dropped off our bags in the cabin and were on the pool deck with our first cocktail.

We are booked on a Jan 9th Mexican Riviera cruise. It will either be one of the first to take place, or one of the next cancelled.

Sounds great. Is this for 2021 or 20222 please?
I assume it’s a 7 day?
Thanks for the help 🙂
2021 (fingers crossed) 7 day.

Konigsdam 9 January Mexican Riviera
-
We have done Alaska out of Seattle with both port and starboard side cabins. It doesn't make much of a difference.

I wonder when they will cancel my Jan 9 2021 Mexican Riviera cruise.

Mexico Jan 9-16 2021 on Koningsdam.

I have a Jan 2021 Mexico cruise booked and I got the email a couple of days ago. I'm thinking about it. We booked the cruise on board this January and then I rebooked it under the current promotions to get the free drinks package and daily service charge. If they keep this up and the cruise actually takes place its going to turn into a smoking great deal.

One of the first questions we were asked by our server last week in the Pinnacle Grill (and in the dining room as well) was about food allergies.

Just off the Oosterdam and did not find the music to be too loud in any venue, but I'm only 53. One night on the MainStage was Magic Rocks which is a rock n roll illusionist with a decent soundtrack. A woman sitting near us spent the whole show complaining about the music and the volume. The fact that we could clearly hear her complaints that were not addressed to us is how I know that it wasn't too loud.

This just shows how different people enjoy different aspects of cruising. I love bars on land and sea and would much rather have a drink in one the onboard venues than in my cabin on my verandah.

This has been one of my favorite threads in a while. We sail on the Oosterdam on the 11th and your report has got us really ready to cruise.

I did the math and the pre-cruise price for the SBP seems to work in my favor. Between the non-alcoholic beverages and the beers and cocktails that I enjoy while cruising I have no problem accounting for the daily costs. I don't tend to do wine on cruises so the very limited wines available in the package are not a problem.

I believe that the America's Test Kitchen is no longer a featured activity. Are there any cooking demonstrations in the BB King space during the day anymore?
-
I can only echo what others have said. I was hesitant to order it last May but I did it anyway and it turned out to be the best steak I have ever had on a cruise ship. It was truly fantastic.
-
I'll be on the Jan 11 sailing. Can't wait.

It includes all the specialty coffees, smoothies, and shakes. The bartenders can also make mocktail versions of the many of the drinks as well. The package may or may not come in handy depending on what you like.

Many thanks for all the menus pics. If you happen to get the chance could you post the one from Maltings Whiskey Bar?
