Is anyone interested in sharing a van (small group 8-10) to visit Kazurabashi Bridge in the Oboke Gorge? We were thinking , departing at 9:00 am, returning to the ship at 02:00 pm. It is approximately one and a half hour (1.5 hrs.) drive from Port of Kochi Cruise Terminal to the Kazarabashi vine bridge, in the famous Iya Valley. We can view it, and/or can take a thrilling walk across a suspension bridge of woven vines that spans across the valley 45 feet above the river below. A tour guide in Japan explained that buying a SIM card when we arrive in Japan, and installing it on our Iphone, while we are visiting in Japan for 2 weeks, will avoid any chances of being charge for calls, texting roaming, wi-fi connecting, etc., etc,. he said it will eliminate 100% of AT&T overseas usage/connectivity charges, UNTIL we return to the USA, and put our regular SIM card back on our Iphone. Is this 100% accurate? Has anyone done this? any suggestions, or tips greatly appreciated.
