  1. If you have a reservation for 6,8 or whatever in specialty you’ll all be seated together. MDR is the only place where you’ll need to check in each night and give cabin numbers and names. Again, much easier for one person to do this than drag the whole group. Each time my husband went to check in for the group, he couldn't just give a number of people, he was asked who was dining.

  2. We had a group of 8 on Eclipse (Dec 2022) upon boarding we all went to the MDR to be sure our reservations were linked. Each evening we would meet up at Cellar Masters or Martini bar and one from the group would check us in with the hostess and get a pager.

The check in person needed the names and cabin number of those dining. After about 3 nights (11 night cruise) we had the same table and servers but also dined later. Since you already know times and who will be dining where and when you’re a step ahead 😆 perhaps can make a reservation when you board.

  3. I would chose an OV guarantee over an inside especially with so many sea days. I prefer some view vs no view! Once assigned and based on availability you can always ask to have your cabin switched within the same category.

Have you sailed in an inside before? If you have and don’t mind the lack of natural light, 8214 should be quiet.

  4. What an awful experience.

Use the QR code in the daily to comment and ask for the hotel director to contact you. Are you a Captains Club member? Go to the host onboard and ask them to have the HD contact you.

You are very generous not asking for compensation, heck people want OBC if their cabin curtains are torn or the AC goes out! If nothing else the clothing should be laundered and perhaps some OBC for the trauma and time that you have spent dealing with this.

I hope they aren't charging you for the the medical.

It was very confusing calling the retreat host for something, and having the stateroom attendant show up. I was wanting the butler or retreat concierge to handle something for me, not me annoying the already overworked attendant.

Exactly! We were in a SS on Eclipse, we didn't meet the head butler, but the assistant housekeeping manager stopped by a few times. Any requests to him were passed on the stateroom attendant/host. Felt bad for him, he was just back from vacation and getting into the swing of things.

Hi, my screen name? Been this way for years(and years)......I have been on CC for 20 years....I have used my name for maybe all of them but 1. When I first logged in I think I used my initials but I asked the moderator to change it.

    Who was asking about me?

    I changed cruiselines in 2017.

    Tuggers? Guess a different Lois.

Hi stranger🙂it has been 7 years since I sailed on X. I just booked for the May 26th Bermuda cruise and got a fabulous price on a sky suite and that is even for a solo. It would be great to see you again!

Lois who previously went by another screen name?

You were mentioned recently by a couple of us who wondered what happened to you. We met on Horizon going to Bermuda and several cruises after.
