Jayson was in Diamond Lounge when we were aboard in February, and in Concierge Lounge during our June cruise. I don't recall if he said what his future schedule would be. We would love to see him again!
Thanks for the reply. We were on board in February also, and thought he did an excellent job. Hoping he'll be there for our October cruise.

Dropping the testing requirements are subject to the regulations of the countries/ports you are visiting. Our October cruise stops in Canada, and they still require vaccination and a negative Covid test prior to boarding. Just got an e-mail from RC stating this.

It's been my experience on the 5 cruises I've taken since they started up last July that they have been fairly strict about boarding times. If you arrive before your scheduled time they do not allow you in the terminal regardless of the weather. In February we saw a number of people waiting outside in the cold wind and rain in Baltimore because they showed up an hour before their time slot.

just wondering ... why does it matter who the "concierge" is???
Does it have to matter? But if you must know, Jayson was the concierge a few months ago and he was very helpful to me, and I am simply wondering if he is still there.

Yes.
Thanks. I did and it seems to be working now. Also had to do the same for the Celebrity app.

Website is working, but still getting message that app keeps shutting down. Wonder if I should uninstall and then reinstall? Any suggestions?

I am so sorry for your sad news. I had to cancel a cruise under similar circumstances. I contacted Royal first to cancel and got the contact phone number for the AON insurance. I found the AON representative very helpful. After completing and returning the paperwork, my refund came through very quickly. Good luck.

Having problems with the app. Get a message that the app keeps shutting down. Website keeps saying password is incorrect. The Royal IT guys have done it again!

Thanks to everyone for all your information.

I will be travelling with a friend in October departing on Royal Caribbean out of Baltimore. She is semi-mobile but cannot walk any distance nor stand for a prolonged period of time. I doubt she would be able to stand in a line waiting to get through security and I know she will require wheelchair assistance to board the ship. Does anyone know if I would be able to arrange wheelchair assistance through Royal Caribbean, or if we will have to gamble on getting a wheelchair once at the port? Any information will be appreciated.

Doubt I'll ever encounter a problem like this. You don't get many perks spending $10 a night on the nickel slots.😉

Hey Janet - we are in Maui right now on the "X" Eclipse (the one with the barnacle problems).
Hey there! Heading to Port Canaveral on Friday for B2B - Bermuda/Bahamas on Mariner. Birthday cruise with BFF. Love Maui! That banyan tree in the center of town is amazing. Good to hear from you. Hello to "Mean Mary."

I did my travel form the other day and still waiting for approval. We don't cruise until May 14th so I know there is time.
Michele
You won't get approval until you submit your proof of negative covid test. Did you receive a confirmation of receipt with a reference number?

There is an excellent maritime museum. You can walk to it from the pier. Follow the river walk. There are several good restaurants along the way.

Great rev?iew. Serenade is my favorite ship. Her crew were always fantastic. Do you know if Mario is onboard as one of the concierges?

You can't online - RCI did away with that when they "enhanced" the web site a few years ago. You have to call.
Don't you love it how RC "enhances" things and always makes it more inconvenient and difficult to get something accomplished.

When is your cruise? If it's not for a while, sit tight. Sometimes it takes longer when your cruise is farther out.
Did you print out the confirmation page when you "cashed in" the points? If so, I'd suggest bringing a copy with you just in case. Also, you should have received a confirmation e-mail which I'd print and bring with you.

I lock my phone up in the safe the minute I get to my cabin and don't take it out until the morning of disembarkation. I've managed just fine with reservations, etc. Ask my cabin attendant to provide a paper copy of the Cruise Compass, and if necessary, check the display screens near elevators on each deck for any other info I may need. One of the things I've always loved about cruising was being completely out of touch with the real world. I don't even want to watch any news. It's all bad anyway - don't need that downer!

Last time I was in Bermuda, there is a visitor center building at the end of the pier where you can purchase bus/ferry passes. I'm sure it's open now that the cruise ships are back. I think a day pass is $19, but I'm sure if I'm wrong someone will correct me.

I just put it in the hip pocket of my shorts.

Just tell them she doesn't want the white wines. They will pour whatever you prefer. When there was a wine I knew I didn't like, I asked for a different one and they were happy to accommodate.
