  1. I was in one of these rooms a few months ago. There was definitely some noise sometimes, but not often enough to make me reconsider staying there again. I heard chairs scraping overhead at least twice, but it didn't wake me up every night. I remember hearing splashing from the pool one afternoon when I was on the balcony. The shade and privacy of deck 9 was great, although it was still hot and sunny some mornings. All in all, I would stay on deck 9 again. If you're very sensitive to noise you may want to reconsider, but it didn't really bother me or my husband.
  2. On our very first cruise, our luggage was delivered to the wrong room. We only found out because my relatives that we were traveling with saw it in the wrong place. Ever since then, my husband insists on carrying on all our luggage. We've also seen reports of lost luggage on almost every cruise we've been on, so we prefer to keep ours with us.
  3. I'd pick the Celebration. My vote is always for the southern Caribbean, especially if you visit all 3 of the ABC islands. Also, the Celebration is a newer ship that will be slightly different from Mardi Gras, so you'll have new things to experience. And it's slightly cheaper too? For me, the choice would obviously be the Celebration.
  4. In my case it was very useful. Since the restart I've I cruised once without it (wasn't available yet) and once with it. It definitely saved time. On the cruise without it, the agent took her sweet time studying our documents to make sure everything was legit. We even had time to make small talk with the second agent at the table while the first one looked at our documents. On the cruise with Verifly, the agent asked if we had it, I said yes and showed her my phone, she looked it over quickly, and we were done. I had hard copies with me just in case but they weren't needed.
  5. Sigh...once again I am left out. I have 3 Chase cards and have never gotten a Carnival offer.
  6. I was on this cruise as well. I've commented on this before, but the ship was definitely hot in some of the common areas. Our room was nice and cool, however. We actually had good service in the MDR and we thought the food was fine overall. There was one day that we ate breakfast (not brunch) in the MDR and the food was horrible so we just didn't go back for breakfast. We did have sea day brunch in the MDR and that was good, just the port day breakfast was inedible. Other than that, we enjoyed most of the food, and we ate at every venue except Bonsai Teppanyaki and Seafood Shack. I was also there waiting on the trivia that didn't happen, and no explanation was given. *shrug* I agree that the entertainment was lacking overall. I thought the band in the Ocean Plaza was just okay. They sounded fine but they were a little...well, boring. They just didn't have the stage presence of other bands I've seen. As far as the shows, we watched Celestial Strings and Soulbound and really enjoyed both. We also saw that one guy that did a show (Sideshow Bert, I think?). We found him incredibly corny and unfunny so we actually left the show early lol. Even with the negatives, we had a good time anyway. Our excursions were wonderful. This was our 2nd time in both Aruba and Curacao, but our first time in Bonaire. I would love to do the ABCs all together again one day, even if it does mean I have to fly to Miami.
