I received 7 gift certs yesterday and the same 7 again today, actually at the exact same time they came thru yesterday. They are all duplicates of gift certs we received earlier this year for our cruise.
They should totally honor them since they re-sent them [emoji3]
(Totally joking [emoji23])

Used one in Aug on the bathroom door. To be honest I would not sail without one again. Was so handy and kept the counter and desk clear [emoji3]

Cruise day 2 - Our Nassau Day
So we were originally supposed to have a sea day to start our trip, and with the hurricane adjustments, this sea day changed into a day in Nassau. Now, I know the Bahamas is very lovely, but I have little desire to go to Nassau anymore. We did review the ships shore excursions, and decided not to book anything. All we really wanted was a day at the beach or pool and I didn't want to pay the Atlantis pricing to get that. When we woke up, we looked out and saw the ocean breaking against the rocks in our view, and thought is still looked a little rough for a beach day. We decided to stay on the ship and make it a 4th sea day at the pool.
I think I made it clear that I don't like the windjammer for meals, so we went to Park Cafe for breakfast. I liked the size of that venue, and the options for breakfast were good choices. Then we made our way to the solarium. When I cruise, I like the peace and quiet and honestly, I have done my parenting time and really don't want to deal with other people's kids. I do love kids - they are great and fun. But I didn't bring any with me for a reason:)
I love the chairs in the solarium. Especially the pillowed two seater. I need to get one of those for home.
We spent the day (all day) at the solarium. Hubby brought me a hamburger from the windjammer. I read, I listened to music on my ipod. It was a perfectly spent day. Hubby went to the cabin for a nap at 2, and I met him at 4:30 to get ready for formal night.
My absolute favorite dessert on any cruise is the Grand Marnier Souffle. Royal served this during the first formal night. I think I convinced everyone at our table to try - and everyone loved it! If you haven't had this dessert, give it a try. It is light and a perfect finish to a meal. If Royal could just add this to the menu every night, I would be so so happy!
We had the aqua Theater show - Oasis of dreams booked for tonight. It was cancelled due to illness. They rebooked us automatically for the last night at 9:30.
The grand mariner soufflé is my favorite too!!!!

A little throw back to last night.
To all the fried rice in the place with style and grace.

Good Lord, what in the hell are those things? Skunks? Anteaters? Rats?
I thought Maureen's dinosaurs came to life [emoji6][emoji6]

Oops, sorry. That's what I meant. The Aquatheatre. Do you recall how often they did this?
They had them a few times mostly kid ones. I think the two or three nights there wasn't the Oasis of Dreams show they showed something more adult. Actually I posted the Compasses on here if you want to take a peek [emoji3]

We had MTD in Aug and had a table for 2 each evening. The nights we had a reservation we actually were in the same section/had same waiters. The other nights we were seated somewhere else but stated we wanted a table for 2 and was no issue. The nights we did not have reservations we went about 8pm and were seated immediately

You can make reservations for MTD and they are recommended but you can also just walk up. Depending on what time you go, there may be a wait. There are two lines, one for reservations and one with no reservations. We enjoyed MTD, we had reservations a few days and walked up on others. It was just two of us but they seated us quickly. The times we did not have reservations we went about 8pm and were seated immediately.

We had the pitches beginning in the terminal after check in for both dining packages and drink packages. There were so many! We just said we already purchased and they moved on. We experienced some dining package selling in both the promenade and Central Park the first few days. We also had someone drop by once or twice while in Windjammer, but none in the MDR.

We attempted a case of water on our Oasis trip in Aug. It was a no go. We slapped luggage tags on it before we arrived to port. If we had put it in some type of bag we might have been more successful. That being said others had their case of water in the hallway with luggage on embark day. We just weren't one of the lucky ones.

I’m up. I just gave the dancers on the pier a little peak of Little Ricky.
[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] I needed that laugh this morning

They offer a few types of coldcut sandwiches and pizza with hot dogs and burgers. Not a huge selection other than that

8/13 Oasis trip I noticed them in Wipeout, with regular hot dogs, burgers and assorted cold sandwiches during lunch hours.

Booked guarantee twice
Nov 2006- received our assignment upon check in. Don't remember the room number but it was deck 7, all the way in the front of the ship interior. Not a hallway room, it was a closet at the end of the hall. Smaller than a normal interior.
Oasis 2017-
Booked a neighborhood guarantee on a Saturday and assigned on Monday. We received room 10699 and per CCers tip, called and changed it to 12329 at no charge.

Possibly speaking of another "disturbance" in the Caribbean?

I may have missed it somewhere, but were you able to post the Compasses from your August cruise yet? We're sailing this itinerary on 11/5. With all of the re-routing because of the storm devastation, I'm sure we'll end up elsewhere, which is fine, but I wouldn't imagine the daily activities will change much. Thank you!
I sure did!
