  1. I was hoping to do Chops. Though I hear Giovanni's filet is great. I wonder if they grandfather in purchases beforehand. Probably not, too confusing.

The waitress at Giovanni's specifically told me the filet was the same as Chops. We purchased FNDR in April or May and they wouldn't grandfather it. I was pretty easy going with the change, others not so much. They stated if they wanted a refund they would give them one [emoji15]

  2. We are going on the same Itinerary in Nov. Can you tell me what night was the second formal night? Also did they sale the 10 drinks cards on this cruise and if so, what was the cost? Thanks for taking the time to answer our questions.

Second formal night was Thursday (San Juan) night 5. The 10 drink cards were available on day 4 for 79 dollars plus 18% gratuity for 10 drinks [emoji3]

  3. Sorry - what does FNDR stand for?

I have read other reviews that mention getting the Chops fiket in Giovanni's, and how great the food in Giovanni's is. So glad you had a good experience, too!

    First Night Done Right.

It's $15 per person for the first night.

  4. What was your luggage tag number for departure? We have a private shuttle scheduled for pick up at 9:00 AM and thought we may need to do self-assist to be off early.

    Thanks!

We had tag #20. They called 1-18 between 7:45-8:15. We were called around 8:25 I'd say. I will say it appeared as if you could walk off anytime but says your luggage might not be there for pickup until your number is called. They were still bringing luggage off the ship as we departed.

  5. What are the changes to FNDR? I already booked it. Maybe a month ago or so. Very curious. Somehow I missed changes to it! Thanks!

It now only includes Giovanni's and Sabor. You can choose Chops or 150 Central Park for 50% off their regular price, Chops is 49 so it would be $25 for the first night. Up until Aug 1st it seemed to include all specialty restaurants

  6. How was the food in the MDR and the WJ? Did you have fun? What about the speciality dining options? Did you have a drink package? Hope you get home safely.

I thought the food was good in the MDR. I mean face it I wasn't cooking it [emoji23]. We went to the MDR five of the seven nights. We had my time dining and had reservations and walked right in every night we went to the MDR. We had the same servers three of the four nights. We had a table for 2 and we were honestly out in 45 min to an hr each night.

Windjammer was ok. Breakfast was the best thing I had in there (but we only went twice for breakfast). It seemed like for lunch and dinner they had a lot of foreign items and that just isn't something I'm into. We did go the night they had Mexican food and it was pretty good. We just didn't feel like dressing up for dinner.

We liked Park Cafe for breakfast and lunch. I had my share of the roast beef sandwiches.

We did FNDR the first night. We tried to get Chops and it was a no go. They changed it in the last few weeks. If you choose Chops or 150 Central Park you get 50% off the regular price. We ended up at Giovanni's and it was probably the best meal of the week! Definitely a great start to the week. I will say there were many people very upset with the new FNDR change. I understand but I wasn't going to let that damnpen my start to vacation. I had the Chops Filet at Giovanni's without stepping foot in Chops [emoji3]

  7. How was embarkation and disembarkation at Port Canaveral ? We go in Oct and I never sailed from there before .

Super easy! We arrived last weekend to embark around 10am. We drove and prepaid for parking in the garage at the port. We dropped the luggage off first before parking. Took the elevator down and they had just opened the doors for check in. We went thru security and then upstairs for check in. We were checked in by 10:30 and onboard by 11:15 id say.

Disembarking was just as easy. We got off the boat at 8:30 and were in the car by 8:50. We grabbed our luggage and thru customs in 20 minutes! I was shocked.

The port canaveral terminal is the nicest I've been in. Everyone is so eager to help too!

  8. What cabin were you in? Were there any problems with the cabin? Noise issues?

How were the seas? Rough, calm? Was the weather good?

    We are sailing next week!

Did you go to Jamaica? What did you do there?

We were in Boardwalk Balcony cabin 12329. It's the most aft cabin on deck 12 overlooking the aquatheatre. It's a little noisy but we didn't mind. To be honest we were in the room one night while the Aquashow was going on and didn't even notice it was going on.

We could definitely feel the seas a few times throughout the ship on sea days. Nothing horrible but definitely a little wobbly [emoji3]

The weather was great except for the day we were in San Juan. I think the majority of the ship who got off just went shopping at Walgreens [emoji23] Of course the sun came out as we departed San Juan.

We were on the Eastern Itenerary going to St Maarten, San Juan and Labadee so no Jamafis this time [emoji3]
