So sorry for you. Obviously, your health comes first. Enjoy the planning for your new adventure.Â

Just been to select our seats for the Transatlantic cruise at the end of October. We booked the cruise back in July 2018 and paid to select seats at the time. Full balance was paid mid July this year. The strange thing is that the cost of the service for the return flight from Barbados has increased by £1, but no increase for the outward flight to Naples. Had to pay the extra to book the seats. Never happened to us before. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this.

I would definitely prebook to secure a cabin with a picture window. We always go for deck three around the 3574 area. Very quiet and convenient for the atrium bar.

Yes it is. It states it clearly on page 182 of the November edition of the brochure. It's under 'cabins.'

The cabins do have a hairdryer, but no iron. Travel irons are allowed though.

SAVVO Hi, also on same cruise doing a back to back. I was looking at Oia excursion had heard long wait for cable car so thought might walk slowly down.

Walked down once in August. Never again. Far too hot and too many deposits left behind by the donkeys.

Ours is 3rd August on Discovery 2, getting really close now. Might start packing 🙂Â
We are on the same cruise as you SausPud, but can only manage a week this time. The next one is a Transatlantic on Explorer 2 at the end of October. We have then 'jumped ship' to do a cruise on the Norwegian Bliss out of New York next April. Feel it could be a little too large for us.
-
We really enjoyed Oia village coupled with a wine tasting session. On the way back we were dropped off in Thira, and a cable car pass was provided for us to make our own way down to board the tender when ready.

On the Discovery Two back in January we were told by Johnny, the Cruise Director, that Paul was covering holidays taken by other CD's. However, he said he was hoping to get back onto a ship full time.
-
Deck two is fine. It's our preferred deck. Just make sure it's midship, and not towards the rear. That's why we always pre-book our cabin.

£50 per week is the cost. You get a wider range of beers, wines and cocktails. A better range of premium spirits are also provided. I upgrade for my wife, as she does like a cocktail or two.Â

Does anyone have the dedicated phone number to use the voucher code for the Cuban Fusion compensation as part of a cruise already booked. Becoming increasingly frustrated with Stockton Call Centre, as nothing has arrived from them. Went into local Tui shop, where the very helpful staff managed to give us a code, but no number to ring. But, had to ring Stockton to use it. They are adamant that it can't be used as part of a cruise already booked. Will not be booking another cruise on the ship after all the hassle

Hi AlRajul,
We got ours on 18th of October. Why not message them instead of phoning?I have contacted them this way a few times and they have always answered promptly.Go to your booking and there should be a Contact Us you can click onto.
Good luck.
Nothing for us, and we leave on the fifteenth of January. My wife did speak to them via Facebook, but they didn't want to know, as we booked in a shop. We didn't, but booked on the ship. We have had to make several calls over the last few weeks to a number in Stockton, the last being yesterday. They said they had the e mail ready to send out, but for some reason were unable to forward it. Later they said it should be with us in seven to ten days. Don't hold out much hope of receiving it.

No not received anything, but an email apologizing for delay.Â
Thanks for that. We got in touch with them about it on Facebook, but they didn't want to know as they said we booked in a travel agents, and directed us to them. We actually booked while on the ship last year. No apologies for us.
-
Just wondering if anyone else has not yet received their voucher code yet as compensation for reduced time in Havana? Have just trawled through ever email, including junk. Nothing here.

Very sad to see her go. Celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary on her with a blessing at sea. Also celebrated my wife's fiftieth birthday. These are just two of the many happy memories from numerous cruises on her.

No vouchers received yet.

January 2019.

Just had an email offering £100 each onboard credit as compensation. Also been offered £100 voucher each towards the cost of a future cruise.

I believe it's a Dreamliner.

The April edition of the November 18 to October 19 brochure states that hand luggage can weigh up to 7kg. Page 173, A to Z guide under luggage. We used this when booking in July
-
Definitely 7kg for hand luggage if a cruise passenger. Remember a few years ago all cruise passengers received the 23 kilo hold luggage.

US dollars are accepted everywhere, although you may get change in the local currency. Best to take small denomination notes. No inoculations needed. Of the three we have done, the first two had plenty going on during the day, so much so that we had to prioritise activities. The last one, on the Discovery, was a little disappointing, as we felt daytime activities were somewhat lacking.

The first couple of days after leaving Malaga can be a little cool, but it's still nice to sit outside away from the breeze. After that, it's lovely and warm. A refreshing change from the weather at home. I'm a little envious, as we've not booked a transatlantic this year, but have already booked for the one on Explorer 2 next year.

Was on Discovery Two at the beginning of August. Still had Cruise News delivered nightly. Also had copies of the daily newspaper in reception. Must admit that it came as a bit of a surprise to see these still available.
