This is the first time I've heard of a free spa on the Island. What does it include? Sauna? Steam room? *** I utilized the "free" sauna several times.

The island, unlike the crown, only has a “included” Sauna. (One male only, one female only) The island also has “paid upgrades” to 2+ coed steam rooms.

Majestic size and above does not have the male only/female only “included/free” facilities.

  2. I’m on here now, and she needs a dry dock badly….

1-2 the cabins on deck 14 don’t have hot water… your lucky to get warm water.

several damaged balconies, and in the sauna, I fell like i’m going to fall through due to week/damaged boards.

I did see “designers” on and measuring the spa and gym area… hopefully they don’t remove the free spa… it is used often by many.

We will be in a suite on an up coming cruise.  Will we be able to bring the couple that will be traveling with us? They will not have suite status.

No, not unless they are platinum or elite. That’s the only other way to gain entry to the nightly gathering.

You are almost always allowed to bring a friend or guest.

I remember getting invited by a friend on my very first cruise. I was so excited about the square cheese. Now it’s normally flat, not square.

On the last several cruise I have been platinum  status and my parents join me. No issues. On the last cruise I was elite status, and my dad got a sticker to denote that he also should get elite privileges.

with all of that said, often no one is watching the door, especially on longer cruises and you can walk in (like you own the place) and no one will question you.

it’s normally the shorter cruises where they watch the entrance. Sometimes sky-walker.

  6. Ok, but I think your  analogy is off...

    it’s more like saying,

“I don’t like carnival, so I won’t like princess” (seabourn would be closer to silverseas then to celebrity I believe)

But I will say, I get upset with princess all the time... when they don’t do something as good as carnival. I expect them to have the minimum service that carnival has and more. (GS hates when I compare them, I say, well carnival is a vaule you cruise and your a Premium, that means you should surpass all of the carnival standers.)

And then when I have an issue/complain with Carnival the guest service do what ever it takes to make it right... with princess, they could care less. “Just another stuck up guy complaining”

(Now I do understand that this is more of my own experience, carnival guest service have always gone out of there way to make me happy

While both Royal and Princess don’t drop what ever they are doing to try and appease me.) (unacceptable *wink*)

***sorry I got way off topic***

How bout meet at 230=330 on embarkation day in the lobby just inside the security area where the walkway into the ship with welcome cruise critic members signs lol

     I love this idea....

And to be honest, CC has no choice on the time and date... each Carnival ship does there own event scheduling...

And even when you have the group contact party, they want to put it toward the end, so they have already drained you of all your money.

I am really excited about doing my first guarantee and am glad to see that I will definitely have a room! Grin.  I booked an S7 guarantee on the Grand.  Now there are only 7 S7 staterooms and booking started just yesterday and today already there are no more S7 (window suites) available.  Initially I could have booked the last WS available (F301 which is the smallest and most forward S7 stateroom) but then said wait.  If I book a guarantee, the worst I will get is the only WS left to specifically book and maybe I will get one of the other 6, or, sigh, maybe even upgraded to a suite?  So I jumped at this guarantee.  First one and probably last one I will ever do because I like to pick my specific cabin!

What sail date? (If you don’t mind)
