The article's title should read " 85 year olds abandoned by friends and family in Montril, Spain"

Hope you had a nice time. Thank you for taking the time to summarize the offerings onboard the Encore. I think the A-List bar menu is dated... I think Bon Jovi's Hampton Water is up to $49 per bottle.

My question is: Why did the strandees let the tour operator off the hook and why did the tour operator's error become NCL's problem?

We cruised in February and I've never seen the specialty restaurants so crowded... like every table taken by 6:00 pm.

Probably 2021 or 22
Personally I would give up Bar Harbor for another day in Bermuda but that is not happening
I hope you're right. But with NCL cash flow crisis in 2020 / 2021 / 2022. I hope they made the deposit before the cutoff date.

Maine's Bar Harbor is allowing cruise calls for the 2024 season that were booked before the November 2022 citizens' vote implementing a 1,000-person/day landing cap. But 2025 will see a big reduction.
I wonder when NCL booked with the Town of Bar Harbor?
Bar Harbor lets most 2024 cruise calls stand, 2025 will see reduction (seatrade-cruise.com)

For "old" cruisers like me, I will continue to sail regardless of what is in the theater. I am a Diamond member on NCL, Royal, and MSC. It is really the younger demographic, those cruisers who will sustain the business for the decades to come, that the cruise line cater to. While a show like Kinky Boots would fill less than half the theater per showing, the game show (Wheel of Fortune) seems to have a bigger draw. The Price is Right and Press Your Luck were always full on the new ships.
Indeed. I remarked to the spouse on our recent Getaway cruise that we are no longer the target demographic... especially after the viewing the prime-time couples show in the atrium. The specific bit where the male used the kitchen ladle and the female used the frying pan was kind of shocking.

Indeed. Already past final payment for the 2024 NCL Gem's May - June Bos - BDA cruises.

It's Claudia. She's been the captain for years.
I'm looking forward to seeing her again when we stop in tortola for our april 19th sailing on Getaway.
Kit (male from South Africa) is now running the Rebel Yell.

There is now something in the NCL app about making reservations. The email we received from NCL recently for a cruise next week was rather vague and we don't use the app.

I don't understand how they (1) can find smart enough participants, and (2) will stop the open-bar over- indulged smart guy from sharing his intelligence and shouting out the answer..

Thanks for the enjoyable review. I tagged along because we have a similar itinerary coming up and wanted to see what excursions you took / recommend.

I think both the Pearl and Gem are unassigned at the moment for Feb 2025 itineraries.

Thanks for taking the time to do a review.

We've had rooms near the elevators in the past and found that they are fine during "normal" cruises during the year... but during school vacations / multi-generational type cruises rooms near the elevators were brutal. Kids running to the elevators... thump.. thump.. thump... mini family reunions at 2:00 am at the elevator lobby, etc.

Thank you for the live review.
Can you tell me what beverages (drinks and beer) is included in the Coconut beach excursion?
Enjoy your cruise.

Thank you for circling back to this thread. I had the same question and was following.

I think they are moving some of their fleet around. My parents were going to be on the Prima as well, so I took a look and noticed in February 2025, 6 ships (Escape, Gem, Jade, Pearl, Prima and Spirit) don’t have itineraries.
For their sake, I hope something ends up in New England, they only really cruise out of NY or MA due to convenience and my mom not liking to fly.
Thank you for sharing the available ships. My guess is that they will bring back one of the jewel class ships.

I think the OP needs to go back to the Travel agent and say "you booked me using some half-@zzed code and you need to need to make it right by coughing up $100...

I don't think typical cruisers (including me) will be able to solve many of the phrases under the bright lights unless they are painfully easy.
"Look there's the guy who didn't know..."

Or NCL just plain forgot to program it for this deviated itinerary.

I thought it was MKing8288's review of lunch and dinner service on the Prima T/A that was sinking the NCL stock today
