We rented a car last week at SeaTac from National and returned the car to their downtown location before our cruise. We got to the location around noon and were quickly loaded onto their waiting shuttle van. As soon as we were loaded we were off to Pier 91 and were there in a couple of minutes. The process couldn't have gone any smoother.
I noticed on Saturday when disembarking the ship that they had a tent set up right outside the entrance of the Pier 91 terminal where they were transferring people to the downtown location.
The driver told me they do transfers from the pier to the location from 7-10am and from the location to the pier from 10am-1pm.

I booked with my company's leisure rate code with National and there is no drop fee on my reservation.
-
If you have Southwest and they give you your boarding passes, that means they check you in. That would be great, saves me from having to use internet plan or get early bird checkin as we are in Canada when T-24 happens.

I am renting through National due to my company’s awesome corporate rate and I am also Exec Elite. I am picking up Seatac and dropping off downtown The downtown location rep and their automated message say they pickup people from the cruise ports b/w 7-10 am and drop off people at the ports b/w 10am-1pm

Normally the last group is off at 9:30 am
Thanks.

J/K I have a flight at 1:55pm and will be in Seattle 3 days beforehand so no need to tour the city. I will be heading to the Amex Centurion lounge at SeaTac to waste my time before my flight. With that I am in no rush to get to get off the boat. What is the latest they usually say time to get off?
-
Looks like a beautiful day in Juneau today with the Westerdam just pulling into port.
-
Signed up both my wife's and I Amex Card for the deal and just did $500 for each card. Got the two emails right away and got the credit two days later.
So far Amex has saved me $400 on my HAL cruise, $200 from the Amex Offer and I get $200 onboard credit as I booked with Amex Platinum card under the cruise privilege program.

Tipping with Uber has to be done with cash.
Lyft allows you to tip through the app after the ride.
-
I have heard that they hope to have it rolled out to the entire fleet by the middle of 2017.
-
I'll be looking more closely at that Amex website from now on :)
There are some real great benefits that show up from time to time. I have saved over $1500 with the benefits in the last 2 years.
-
Or use the 500 for cruise next certs and get credit on top of credit.

I have seen a lot of things that the bidding system was being expanded. I was wondering if anyone knew if the Sky was on it yet or should I be calling. My cruise is 10 days away and there are a good number of balconies open.
-
Easter is the following Sunday (4/16) and here in New England a lot of schools have off that week. The ones that do not have off that week have the week after Easter off.
-
Is the Sky on the email upgrade bid system or is it still the call in for a deal.
-
They are correct as your son technically bought the cruise from the company that chartered the ship and not NCL like you do on a normal cruise.

We are going on the Empress of the Seas in March, stopping in Freeport. Currently there are no excursions listed on RCCL's website. I know they sustained some damage in October, but surely they have an idea of at least some of the excursions...does anyone have a clue on timeline?
I am on the Sky in February and NCL has 17 listed.
You might want to call RCCL to see whats up

Can you tell me what the cost of the resort fees were?
ESTIMATED TAXES AND/OR OTHER CHARGES
Charges Include:
Sales tax: 18.25%
Resort fee: 22.15 per person per night
Taxes and surcharges may change from the time a reservation is placed until the actual stay, and during the actual stay. Check with your hotel for details.
I was pricing out the day I was going to be there. Room Rate for 2 people $273 and the taxes/fees were $94.20

I know their has been 18.4 million threads on Suite upsells, so if you wouldn't like to read about any upsells please stop reading. Sorry we are just excited and have never had any thing better then an inside before and this is our first time on NCL, have previously been on "the fun ships".
For those who have been in a suite, what tips and trick can you offer, we are in an SJ Family Suite no Balcony on Dawn for the May 8th ten day cruise. We are traveling with a 15 month old and 33 month old both will be in pack and plays.
What wisdom can you pass along so we can act like this is old hat to us?
I just got off the Dawn last weekend and was in a Family Suite with my wife and our 6 (5th cruise) and 2 (2nd cruise) year old boys.
The six year old slept on the Murphy bed and the two year old slept on the couch bed.
I recommend keeping the shades closed when you are not in the room as the large windows make the room easily hot and something the AC cannot keep up with.
The Kids Cafe in the Garden cafe is a great place to eat with the kids and they actually stay in their seats when they are little seats.
The Suite breakfast and lunch in LaCucina (it was moved from Cagneys) was a nice change when you want something different.
It was nice to have the portable phone that is in the suite as one of us could go out with the child that was awake to do something and always be in contact with whoever was in the room with the other child. It also was good to have when the 6 year old was at the kids club in case they needed to contact us.

We love NCL's Suite Life and had wanted to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary sailing from New Orleans. In July I priced the cruise sailing 4.2.17 and the suite cost was $4037.12; Pricey but doable since it is for a special occasion. Priced the same room and date today and the price is $5769.98. They say the Promo's are free, think not!!! Needless to say I did not book the cruise.
With the promos that have gone this year the demand has been high which causes the price to go up as inventory goes down.
I am booked on the 4/17/16 Dawn cruise. I booked my family of 4 into an SJ on 3/1/15 when only two SJ cabin were booked. The price with KSF, Ultimate Bev Package for 4, Ultimate Dining Package for 4, pre-paid gratuities for 4, and $200 OBC was $3125.
If I would go for the same cabin today its going for $6882. That's insane and I am glad I always book as far in advance as I can.
Also due to when I book I will get 21 Latitudes points which will put me far into Gold status and on the doorstop of Platinum after this cruise.

Its 945 and the ship is still in Miami. 5 hrs is not much to make up but the longer it gets the itinerary may have to be altered if they are able to get going.

I had a pretty good experience on 2/15 dropping off my car. I pulled in around 1215pm dropped the family off with the luggage so they could wait in line for the shuttles. I took the car to the top deck of the garage where the rep checked the car. I took the elevator down and got in line in the office which was about 10 minutes as they do not have e-return. The rep checked me out and by the time I got outside two vans had arrived and they had loaded my family and luggage in the van and were waiting for me. We were the first people dropped off and were at Terminal B at 12:45.

I used points but the cash price for BOS-FLL on Delta for next month that I booked back in October was $989 per person.

I think I hit the jackpot last week with weather with all sunny days and average of 70-75 degree temps.
I had better weather on my Alaskan cruise then most of the Caribbean cruises I have been on. The onboard thermometer hit 85 when we were in Glacier Bay.
