  1. Saturday Welllll getting up early to pack didn’t go as planned 🤣 We knew we needed some fuel so we decided to start with breakfast. It was so sad knowing this was our last breakfast up on the pool deck. We really had a lazy Saturday. We wanted to try and go to the pool, but because they drained ours, they had to refill it and it was ice cold! It sucked. So we decided we wanted to try the horizon pool. And it was crowded AND crazy! We were disappointed and just decided to go back to our room for lunch. This lunch was AMAZING on the pool deck. The weather was also beautiful and I think everyone chose to eat outside. We heard the buffet outside of the yacht club had nachos and I really wanted some. We decided to venture out and it was a madhouse in the buffet. We had to leave and it solidified for me that I couldn’t do MSC without the yacht club. Every time we went outside the yacht club, it was incredibly crowded and not enjoyable. we went back to our room and order pizza and nachos from room service and avoided packing once again 🤣 After the pizza and nachos, we decided to just embrace the cold and go to the pool. We alternated between the pool and hot tub and it was actually really fun. after the pool, we relaxed some more and then got ready for dinner. We decided to dress up for our last night. Dinner was really good the very last night. My photos from dinner aren’t posting. So I’m going to try and upload them in another post. All in all. It was a great last night. We went to our room to finally pack and then meet friends to listen to calypso music and the top sail lounge.
  2. Friday We started off our day again with some breakfast on the pool deck. There were some storm clouds so we wanted to hurry before they arrived. After, we wanted to go watch MasterChef. It was actually pretty fun. They choose the contestants with a trivia game. There are cooking questions they ask you and you fill out a questionnaire. Then they collect every paper and tally up the votes. While they’re doing that, they go over the answer with everyone. The top scores are chosen to compete. You decorate a dessert and it’s based on presentation. I do think the idea is really cool. I wish the guests got to cook, but I understand the safety concerns. But I still think there are dishes you can create that don’t involve high end appliances! After, we tried going to the thermal spa and it was crowded! And not fun at all. Even with our reservation, it was overly crowded. We had to leave because it took out the relaxation. We were glad we went on a non sea day and I really r recommend that. Because of the rain, Bingo was switched indoors which I liked so we decided to go to it. I don’t like that the majority of their activities are outside. I feel like it’s more rowdy and bingo is something that should be indoors. So it was a blessing that it rained! We had a lot of fun during BINGO. And after, we decided to have lunch. I had the pea soup and it was so amazing. I asked for a second bowl. For my entree, I had the Tagliolini. Which that was just okay. After lunch we had to get ready for high tea. I was waiting for this day the whole cruise. On the Meraviglia, they only have High Tea one night. Which I was sad about, but decided we were going to do it up for this! it was amazing. The experience was very elegant and I highly recommend if you love tea. You get one tray for food. I saw someone asking for a second one but this one was enough for us. You start off by selecting which tea you want. All the tea is loose and it soaks in your tea pot. This event was more popular than the captain meet and great. So I do recommend coming early. Otherwise, you may have a wait with getting your tea. After tea, we decided to relax for a little and then get ready for dinner. We a wanted to try a meal at the Pub because it smelled so good and it was cheap. We were not disappointed. Everything was delicious! We also learned from our friends that we could order anything from the main dining room to our rooms. We wanted some of the things that were on the menu so we decided to do this. It was nice and seamless. We decided to turn in early so we could wake up and pack tomorrow since it’s our last day 😭
  3. Thursday This day started off with us sleeping in. We really got used to docking late. And we really liked that we got to sleep in. We did want to try out the main dining room for breakfast and figured this was a great day to do it. Because we were at the private island of Ocean Cay all day, we didn’t really think it was necessary to get off the boat super early. I will say right off the bat, we knew right away that we appreciated the breakfast on the pool deck. Typically for breakfast, you need to be quick and be able to control your own pace. Every single thing was the same except for tea. I am not a coffee person unless I have to be. I love a good tea. I was so happy we were able to experience the tea. But the service was slow. And it was slow to get our food. So even though I did appreciate drinking tea, I still would choose the breakfast on the pool deck. The menu stays the same for breakfast. I will say the croissants are to DIE for. I felt like I was in a French bakery every time I ate one. I do love the views you have in the main dining room. After breakfast, we decided to try out the Thermal Spa! I was so happy we did this. It was not crowded at all and we really got to try out all the amenities. When you’re in the Yacht Club, you get this for free. I would personally not pay for the thermal spa. I unfortunately didn’t take pictures. But there are a lot of saunas. All ranging various temperatures depending on your comfortability. Two thermal pools. One has lounge chairs that are metal and roll. They are really comfy. And hot and cold showers. That have scents. So if you are sensitive to smell, you wouldn’t like it. I spent most of my time in the thermal pools. It was nice and relaxing before we went to the island. when we were finally ready to go to the island, it was around 11. There’s a free Yacht Club lunch and we wanted to have a little bit of time to swim beforehand. When we were ready to go we got escorted off the boat. There wasn’t a lot of people leaving the ship during this time so it wasn’t too hectic. Once off the ship you get escorted to this private yacht club area while you wait for a golf cart to take you to the yacht club part of the island. There was water there while you waited and pretty views we then boarded a golf cart to the furthest end of the island. The private yacht club area comes with free drinks and towels It took a long time to get a drink and for us wasn’t worth it. Especially because we wanted to swim. The water in the yacht club area was rough and not calm. I also couldn’t see the bottom of the ocean and that freaked me out 🤣 We decided to only swim in the water for about 30 mins and then we got out to relax and before lunch started. They did open a little earlier and I think it was because of the weather. It was set to rain during the beginning of lunch service so we wanted to go then. Unfortunately everyone got that idea so we got a table that was partially outside. It was only lightly drizzling during this time and it felt refreshing so we didn’t mind. We ate with some of our friends we met during the cruise and had ourselves a time. we started off with our appetizers. We had crab ceviche and grilled octopus! Both were delicious. After we finished our appetizers, it started raining harder so we quickly snagged a table inside. We then ordered our entrees and desserts. We got the infamous lobster roll and burger! Both really good. after lunch the weather cleared up a lot and we went to the beach on the opposite side of the yacht club. It was so much prettier and calmer over there. We went snorkeling and swam for awhile here. The views were straight out of a magazine. We decided it was time for us to go when we saw two barracudas 🤣 After we got back on the boat, we still wanted to swim, but in safe waters 😅 the Yacht Club was redoing the pool during this time which was a little frustrating and upsetting. We wanted to go to an adult only pool because we thought it would be calm and not as crowded. We asked conceirge if there was an adult only pool and they had no idea. Which was shocking. We left the yacht club and ventured out and found the Horizon pool. There is an adult only sign there. There was no one there and we had a fun time swimming there for about an hour. We cleaned up and didn’t really like what we saw for dinner on the menu. I felt really bad about ruining our dinner reservations so we wanted to try and get last minute ones for any restaurant. We went to concierge and they really did try to get us reservations but everywhere said they were booked. We decided to go to the sushi restaurant and just ask if they had any cancellations. We just missed the 530 dinner by a hare and he couldn’t squeeze us in. He told us to come back at 730 and we can see if there’s anything for that dinner. We decided to go to the champagne bar and get drinks while we wait. It was gorgeous and the drinks were really good! At 730 there still wasn’t any room. The manager told us if we could push off until 9, we could have the late reservation. I was down to wait and we decided we would go to the top sail lounge and eat some snacks and wait. We were really excited to try the Hibachi restaurant because we heard great things and it was worth the wait! The best hibachi I’ve ever been to. And you get more food than you can eat! You get your moneys worth for sure. You get all of this food for one price. You can also take food back to your room. We did see the light show for a little bit, but I’ll be honest…I didn’t think it was that great 🙈 We didn’t watch it from the island so maybe it was better there. But you get front row views on the Yacht Club Pool deck and it was just very underwhelming.
  4. Wednesday So this day we were in Nassau! My husband and I were really excited about this day. He proposed to me in Nassau a couple years back in December. To be able to come back here during our honeymoon was a full circle moment! We started the morning off with breakfast. We had our usual but this time I wanted to try a mimosa with freshly squeezed orange juice. It was a GAME CHANGER! I will only drink mimosas this way now. Breakfast was really good. today also solidified for us that we loved to eat breakfast on the pool deck. The only thing I didn’t see on the menu was eggs Benedict. I really really wanted some and decided to ask. They made it for me without any hesitation! So everything you can order in the dining room for yacht club you can get on the pool deck. And with quicker service. after breakfast, we got changed for our day. We were so excited. We went up to the pool deck to grab lunch and watch us dock. The lunch food on the pool deck is pretty good. They rotate the meats and keep the sides the same for the most part. After lunch, we decided to go to the top sail lounge to wait and get off the boat. We were excited because we were able to get priority today. I grabbed a small snack and we got some drinks before leaving After, we decided to get off the boat. Now remember, as long as you are doing your own exploring and/or excursion you get priority when leaving. Otherwise, you will wait with everyone else to leave the boat if you book an excursion through the ship. When you’re ready to leave, you go up to concierge and tell them. They then call a butler to come escort you. When the butler comes, they take you to the elevators and you go down to leave the boat. If there is a line the butler will push through the crowd and you will follow them. They normally have a few groups with them. So from the outside looking in, it looks like a huge group trying to cut the lines. Be prepared to hear a bunch of people talking mess to you. We just ignored the comments and continued with our day. Nassau just did a HUGE renovation. So if you haven’t been there in a couple years, it will look extremely different when you get off the boat. In Nassau we decided to create our own wine to represent our love and what Nassau means to us as a couple. We went with the excursion Bahama Barrels. We booked it through Viator. Because it wasn’t through the cruise ship, we had to get our own transportation. This part was really confusing. Because of the renovations they’ve done, you are immediately bombarded with one car service. We thought this was the only one. So we went with it. The guy took us and 2 other families. He was going to take us to our excursion and pick us up at a certain time. We only paid him for half the ride and we were going to pay him the rest when he picked us up. DO NOT DO THIS. Later on you will see why. But pay after they pick you up. we got there a little early and we decided to explore. The Bahama Barrels also had a chocolate shop and a cigar shop. We decided to go to both. My husband loves cigars and there is a cigar lounge onboard so he wanted to get a cigar for the ship. The chocolate shop was cute and you can get free chocolate. The cigar shop was interesting but the smell had me so sick. But if you love cigars and want to see the process in how they make them you will appreciate this. We got to see them roll cigars and my husband found a nice cigar to take home. After, we went back to the wine making class and walked around for a little No one came out to get us when our excursion started so we just walked in. The decor was so pretty inside. We absolutely loved it. So how this is setup is every person gets to make a bottle of wine from scratch. Including creating your own label. The instructor we had was so awesome. She told us the history on how Nassau is able to have wine because they can’t grow their own grapes. And then asked us our flavor preference. We told her we preferred sweet wines. With that information she gave us 5 different wines to taste. You have a paper in front of you where you can write about each wine. Which you are going to want to do. Because by the 5th wine you are feeling very toasty!! The wine was extremely strong. Everything was 12% or higher. They also have a rule that you need to finish ALL the wine you use to help make your creation😅. This here was my mistake. I took this to heart and drank all the wine and slowly started getting drunker by the minute. After you taste the wine, you get to do 3 trials and combine whatever wine you want in those trials to find the perfect combination. I already knew right away what wine I wanted to combine. I combined two different flavors together. When you’re done you will combine the two flavors in this long tube then you will taste the combination one last time to make sure you like everything. When it’s good, you’ll pour it into your wine bottle! While you’re doing this, they are also making your wine label. After, you pour the wine in, you will cork it. You use this machine and it’s actually really fun. We got to put the wine label on ourselves. They let us do one extra bottle because it was our honeymoon. So my husband and I both got to make our own and then we created one together. This excursion was so much fun and you get to drink A LOT. So much so that I was drunk after the excursion. We walked outside at the time our driver was supposed to return and he wasn’t there 🙃 I’m really happy we only paid him half but we were still upset. Thankfully this is a spot a lot of tours stop on and a driver saw that we were confused and lost. He asked us if we wanted to tag along with his tour group and he would take us back to the ship. We only had to go on a few stops with them. And it was pretty cool because we got to go on a tour around Nassau for free. One of the stops was a shop where a lady who was a cancer survivor makes drinks and teas for people who have cancer and help them heal. I shared with them how I was a cancer survivor and they took me to meet the owner and we bonded. It was a really sweet moment. She gave me one of their drinks for free. After this we headed back to the ship. They had to hold onto our wine until the end of the cruise. I was feeling extremely sick from drinking so much and I went to sleep for the rest of the day 😂. We even had to miss our special honeymoon reservations we had at Butchers Cut. I was so incredibly sad, but really needed to not leave my room.
  5. Hello everyone, I’m so sorry. Things are taking a little longer but I will be updated with all my posts by Saturday.
  6. Yes I’m going to do an in depth review on an interior room on Sunday or Monday! With lots of pics❤️
  7. Tuesday Today was our first Port day! I was so excited. At first, I didn’t know how I felt about not arriving to port until 1pm. All my previous cruises we got to port early and left kind of early. As soon as I woke up, I realized that arriving later and leaving later truly is the way to go. We got to have breakfast and TWO lunches (because we are greedy and love food lol) onboard. We also didn’t have to rush. We got to wake up and pack our bag we were taking with us, shower and do everything we needed to do. It was nice. we started off with breakfast on the yacht club pool deck. This is our favorite spot. Breakfast doesn’t really change, but I still wanted to show you all everything they typically have. I typically get the same thing every day. The croissants are to die for! I feel like I’m eating in a French Bakery every time. They also have mini jam jars for you to choose from. The first day they had a lot of options. And they seem to slowly be running out. They also make any kind of eggs you want. I got sunny side and my husband got an omelet. They will also make pancakes. These items, you have to request. And it’s fresh. We really love the breakfast on the pool deck! After breakfast, we wanted to try and see us dock since the yacht club is the front of the ship. It was too windy on the pool deck so we went to top sail. Truly an amazing experience watching us dock. Also just seeing vast array of blue and then slowly seeing land pop up. we also had to grab some food lol. The finger food in the top sail lounge is always a must. And remember they rotate the food about 5x a day. I love the olives and pistachios. So this was a nice little snack. After, we we went back to our cabin to get ready for our day and for lunch. Lunch opened right at 1130, and we wanted to be there right when it opened. The lunch for today was pretty good We got the king crab compote and the lobster ravioli We were watching the captain navigate to Port Canaveral while eating and it was really cool. After we finished we decided to go to the Pool deck to get a better view I recommend watching the boat dock at least once. We then decided to get a little snack before our excursion. Or what we like to call, second lunch! We love the lunch on the yacht club deck. i normally get the same thing. But it was a nice meal before heading out. When you are in Yacht Club and you book and excursion through the cruise, you will be asked to wait in the Top Sail Lounge to depart. This lead us to believe we were getting escorted off the ship and getting priority. They have bottled drinks and other things for you in the yacht club which we thought was nice. We didn’t want to have to pay for drinks on our excursion so this was amazing It even started raining so they put out free ponchos for everyone! we were headed to Disney springs and I always believe that a rainy day at Disney is always better than a rainy day anywhere else! We were ready to go! I love Disney so much and this was a last minute decision from us to book this excursion! We thought it was better than trying to go to one of the parks. We also thought it was good to make sure we had transportation that would definitely take us there and back. Because Disney is an hour away without traffic. So a butler escorted us to a theatre room where there were a lot of people waiting for excursions. This is where we learned that we will not be escorted off the boat if we book an excursion through the ship. We were late to dock and so we had to wait in the theatre for a while. Then in line for 15 mins to get on the bus that was taking us to Disney. Once we made it to Disney Springs, we had an amazing time! We shopped and ate at Earls Sandwich! There’s so much to do at Disney springs. You have bowling, shows, performances, great places to eat. And so much more! I was so happy we went on this excursion After, we came back on the boat and RUSHED to dinner. We got there just in time to be seated and eat. We were sat right next to our friends we made at the captains lunch, so it was real nice to see them again. We ordered quick so we wouldn’t hold the kitchen up. We both had the shrimp cocktail and surf and turf. It was amazing! We split the ice cream pyramid which was good too. Our friends talked us into going to the comedy show. This was a free show that we got escorted into and special seats being in yacht club. We decided to try it out. when being escorted and getting to the front of the line, just be prepared to hear snarky comments. People asked us why we were cutting and things like that. There’s a special yacht club section in the theatre. I will say, this was not my cup of tea. And I’m not going to rate the free shows bc once again this isn’t a ship known for entertainment. And you can walk out at anytime, you aren’t paying money. But it just wasn’t my type of comedy. We were also sat right behind really rude people who were making fun of the comedy and saying rude things instead of just getting up and leaving. The yacht club section is in the back. Which is the best place to sit in case you want to leave a show. It was just really annoying. afterwards, we went back to the room and to bed. We had a big day for Wednesday and wanted to get some rest!
  8. We are on 15 and I like the location. I have pictures and a review I’ll be doing on the cabin on Sunday. I do like the location. On deck 16 is concierge and top sail. On deck 18 you have the yacht club restaurant. On 19 you have the pool. You also have a private elevator just for yacht club and it only goes to yacht club floors. We never waited long for the elevators. They always came to us quick so I didn’t mind being on floor 15
  9. Yes my post from Monday reviews one of the shows!
  10. Monday Today was our was our first morning on the boat. And I was so excited to try out the breakfast. My husband on the other hand, wanted to sleep in. I was just going to skip breakfast and just wait for lunch. But then I decided I would just go up to the buffet on the pool deck and bring some breakfast back to the room. Instead trying the sit down restaurant. Well as soon as I came back down with my food, my husband then decided he did in fact want breakfast 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣 so we both went upstairs to the pool deck and ate. the breakfast on the pool deck was AMAZING! I’m going to go more in depth with it for my Tuesday post because I took more photos. But they have freshly squeezed orange juice and that is to die for! after breakfast, we decided to see what small bites the top sail lounge had for breakfast. Nothing really interested me, but my husband got this tart snack. I then got a mimosa and he got an espresso martini He thought the tart was just okay. I don’t think he likes tarts because his response when I asked if he liked it was that it had too much of a tart taste 🙄😂 so if you like tarts you will probably enjoy this! The topsail lounge is very useful if you just want a light breakfast and not be overwhelmed with options. After breakfast, we went back to our room. We got a letter the previous night saying we’d been invited to a Captains Welcome Celebration in the Yacht Club Topsail Lounge I was so excited! The invite said smart casual, but people wore whatever they wanted. I’m someone though when I get a theme, I rock that theme! So my husband and I dressed up and headed up there. We got there right at 1045. But they had some good appetizers and drinks for everyone. We then got a special performance from dancers and got to meet all the directors and captain of the vessel. We were right up front so it was pretty awesome. afterwards we went into the yacht club hot tub and relaxed for a little. We then wanted to check out the casino. We love doing slot machines. Especially the ones that give you free games. We only had $50 to gamble and we pretty much used it on the slot machine that gave you free games. We were doing real well at first. We were up 8 dollars and we got 10 free games. And then we got cocky and lost all of our winnings 😂 it was still so fun. The casino area is full of smoke though. Even the nonsmoking section. So just be aware of that. The menu in the Yacht Club for lunch didn’t look too good. So we decided to go up to the pool deck. We do love the pool deck the most when it comes to food. I got steak, shrimp, scallops, salad and corn chowder. It was delicious. I also asked for a screw driver with freshly squeezed orange juice and that was a game changer! Everything was delicious. We then went to the topsail lounge to see what finger foods they had and I got a sandwich bite. Also very yummy. After the topsail lounge we decided to go in the hot tub again. I started getting so sleepy and we went back to the room for a nap until dinner. It was Gala Night tonight, which is also formal night. I will say in the yacht club, I did see everyone dressed up. It was kind of nice to see. The food was really good, but the service in the Yacht Club restaurant is very slow. It takes a while to get a drink. We normally go to the top sail lounge before hand and grab a drink for dinner. And the food comes out slow. But we didn’t mind too much. For an appetizer, we both got burgundy escargot. Or snails, and they were delicious! My husband got the Williams Salad and he thought it was just okay. We both shared the champagne risotto and it was AMAZING! And then we got the lobster tail. My husband did get cheesecake, but we didn’t have time to actually eat it because we had to get ready for our show. I think because it was gala night and the yacht club is at capacity, they had more people than expected. And the service was just a little slower. The lobster tails though were huge! I was so shocked at how huge they were. After dinner we rushed to our room to get ready for our show. Now we saw a paid show. Go down to concierge and your butler can escort you to the show and get you good seats. You also get to skip the line. House of Houdini. Before I review this show I want to start off by saying, know what cruise lines are great at and keep that in mind when you’re on board. It frustrates me when people want to see good entertainment and then go on a ship that is not known for their entertainment and complain. I want to preface this and say, if you want a broadway level performance…book ROYAL CARIBBEAN. They have the BEST shows at sea. MSC is not known for the shows. So do not expect a top tier broadway level performance. Now knowing this, my expectations were low and they were surpassed with this performance. I would give it a 9/10. Solely based on the abilities of the performers. I thought the story was just eh. It some things were not great. However, the singing was AMAZING! And so were the acrobatic acts. I was so impressed. Especially with the singing. I’ve been on a cruise line where all the entertainment was singing and the people the chose couldn’t sing…it was horrible. It was well worth the $18. I don’t think I’d pay for it again. But I’m glad we experienced it Afterwards it was late and we headed back to the room. We were met with a wonderful surprise. We got macaroons and a cake for our honeymoon. They also sent the cheesecake my husband couldn’t finish at dinner. It truly was amazing My husband ended the night watching tv and ordering pizza. And I went straight to sleep 😴
  11. Yes I will if I see it! I heard they do this on port days when there’s not a lot of people on the ship. But I will ask tomorrow!
  12. Sunday This whole day was spent trying all the food 🤣 when you first get on the boat, a butler escorts you to the yacht club lounge. There, you have a bunch of canapés and light hors D’oeuvre . The Yacht Club lounge changes these selections about 5 times a day. We were there around 11 and had the finger food selections it was delicious. After that, we went up to the yacht club pool deck on deck 19. Up there we had our first lunch 🙈 the food was amazing. The views were awesome too. The food was fresh. And my husband and I didn’t have one bad meal. After that, we had our second lunch in the Yacht Club Restaurant. My hubby and I both had the charred octopus soup. It was decent. Then my husband had the homemade pasta and I had the Tournedos which is beef. We both really liked our entree. The best part of cruising is trying food you’d never eat elsewhere. So even though we didn’t love the octopus soup, we were both glad we tried it! Next, we went up to our room for our emergency drill. They never called our deck which was weird. And then when we went down, they just told us to forgey about it….so we never did the drill. Very odd. But after that, we went up to the Sky Lounge for the sail away. This is an adult only section and such a cool bar. It has panorama windows and you see everything. We got the best views of departure. They announce when you’re about to go under the Verrenzo bridge. I’m going to be honest…it freaked me out 🤣 so I didn’t get good pictures. It was kind of trippy. But I know my husband was taking pictures so if I can get some from him, I’ll post! But it was cool until we were right under the bridge. next, we did more eating 🤣 we went to the top sail lounge for afternoon snacks the finger sandwiches are hit or miss. It’s really your preference on what you like on them. We also had to try the pizza so we went to the main buffet to get that. we are on deck 15 which is where the buffet is so it was nice. I will say, I’m glad we are in Yacht Club because a lot more peaceful and relaxing and not as crowded. When we went to go get the pizza there were a lot of people and I just felt very overwhelmed. next, we got ready for dinner! I decided to get dressed up and really enjoy myself. But before we made it to dinner, we went to the yacht club lounge for appetizers! I didn’t enjoy these as much. My husband got pizza and I got a ton of butter with a little bit of toast. My husband loved the pizza bites though The dinner in the Yacht Club lounge overall was decent. For our starters, my husband had the duck and I had the tomato soup. We both loved it! We then both got the dumplings and they were decent. For our entree, we shared the risotto and both got the veal. The risotto was too fishy for me so I couldn’t eat it. But if you like that you will love it. We both loved the veal but it was pretty chewy. My husband got the chocolate cake for dessert we ended the night kind of early. We were both so tired. We got one more round of drinks and then ordered pizza for room service. And ate and watched Parks n Rec to end the night ❤️
  13. Embarkation was so smooth and easy! We decided to park and pay. Mostly for convenience. The parking was a little confusing, there were a lot of people yelling at cars. But I understood why. We arrived around 8:50. They had the traffic of incoming and out coming guests. There were a good amount of people coming in at this time and I was shocked. We didn’t run into any traffic at all either. after we parked the car, we made our way to a blue tent. It’s right by the parking lot. It says Yacht Club on it too so it wasn’t hard to miss. They took our suitcase there and then we had to cross the street and go into a corner to wait maybe 5 mins. This place was hard to find though. They also don’t call yacht club parties loud enough so you really have to listen. They also only take 3-4 parties at a time. We were lucky and made it in the next group. We bypassed the check in line and went to a special yacht club line. It took about 5 mins for them to check our passports and go through security. Then you are whisked away to another private yacht club area to do a more in-depth check in. This process took maybe 10-15mins. This is we’re you get your coveted yacht club wrist band and sail card. By the time we were done, it was around 940. We went into a waiting area to get on the ship. And immediately the A+ service started. It wasn’t time to board the ship just yet, however I had a butler come up to me and ask if I wanted my bracelet to be put on. And then got me a drink. We were waited on and it was perfect. We knew we were going to have to wait a little to get on the boat because we arrived early. But we were fine with it. We just wanted out of that hotel 🤣 We got to board around 1030. So about ab 1 1/2 hrs from start to finish. But keep in mind we had to wait for the boat to be ready. So far our day is going great and I’ll update on our first day tonight!
  14. The day is finally here!! We are on our last stretch of our trip to Brooklyn. We drove from Cleveland to Mifflinville, PA on Saturday. It took us about 5 hrs (including stops) to get to Mifflinville. I can’t recommend the place we lodged at because it was very interesting with some very interesting people😅 let’s just say there was someone outside that was indecent and didn’t really phase him! But the room was clean. It was good for just one night. My husband and I both agreed we wanted to get out of there as quick as possible. So as soon as we woke up, we loaded the car and left. It’s about a 2hr drive to PA. So originally we were going to leave at 8 and get there by 10. Instead we left at about 630 and will get there around 9. Now with Yacht Club, you can arrive whenever! You don’t need to follow the embarkation time they give you. And I saw a review on Facebook how a yacht club group got there early, and they just waited in the yacht club area until they could board the ship. Which we are fine with doing. Or if we have to wait in our car until 10, we are fine with as well. We just don’t want to be in that hotel 🤣 The drive through PA is also very pretty! I will post twice more today. One about embarkation and then later tonight about our first day/night on the ship ❤️
  15. The countdown begins! We are leaving for Cleveland right now. Our daughter is staying with her grandparents. So we are dropping her off there. It’s going to be very tough for my husband and I leaving our daughter for a week. however, it will be nice to sleep in! Saturday we are driving halfway to PA, and then Sunday morning we are driving to Brooklyn for our cruise 🥳 I will update Sunday morning about the drive and then Sunday night about our first day!
  16. The wedding dust has settled and I have officially started packing! I have a little one at home so finding time to pack has been a lot more challenging than I thought 🫠 but nonetheless, I have packed a good amount so far! We are leaving Friday evening to start our journey. My husband and I are notorious last minute packers and I’m trying my best not to be packing come Friday 🤣 so far, so good. I was able to pack majority of my outfits today. I always bring too many shoes and purses. So I decided to bring 2 dinner shoes, 2 sandals, and one pair of tennis shoes. I really do love to have options. But I know having an interior the room will be smaller so I’m trying to pack smarter this time. I also found the theme nights (I will post) and packed for those as well. I’m also going to link my snorkeling gear. We will probably try to snorkel on the private island! I recommend investing in your own snorkeling gear. Especially if you go on cruises/beach vacations a lot. That way you can snorkel pretty much anywhere without having to worry about the cost. And it’s a fairly reasonable price. I’m taking one large suitcase and a makeup/hair product bag (gold bag). I will also have a duffel bag that has outfits for Friday-Sunday. We will leave this bag in the car. I’m going to also share the photos of what my suitcase and makeup bag looks like. That way if you’re in an interior room, you can see how much you can fit. Lastly, I’m going to share my packing list. I love making this on the notes app on an iPhone so I can check off the items I’ve already packed. And I can see what I’m missing. I’ll post this list as well so you can get some of ideas of what to pack!
  17. So our wedding day is complete. There was only one minor hiccup, but the rest of the day ran smoothly! I am now in full on vacation mode!! I am so excited for our Honeymoon. Tomorrow I will start packing and will be posting a lot more with things I am bringing and how I am deciding to pack. But for now, enjoy some of our wedding photos 🥰
  18. So I’m in full wedding mode until Sunday! And then I’ll be in vacation prep mode. I’m going to post things that I’ll be packing. Is there anything specific you’d like me to show you all? I’m not a light packer by any means 😅 so I will definitely be showing you how to maximize the tiny space you have when you want to bring a lot of things! We also invested in our own scuba gear and I’ll show everyone that and post links where we got everything. Let me know if there’s anything else ❤️
  19. Yay!! I was thinking the second night! That way it’s still early enough in the cruise for everyone to settle in and then get to know everyone
  20. Yes please join us! And thank you so much
  21. We have 3 days until our wedding and 12 days until our cruise! Here is my first tip while preparing for your cruise to get here. JOIN THE FACEBOOK ROLL CALL PAGE TOO!!! I cannot stress this enough. I think it's sometimes more active than cruise critic. And you get info instant. When I sailed on Carnival a couple years ago, people on the Facebook page organized a teacher meet and great. I decided to do the same and I am now planning a teacher bar crawl 😂 this is another way to join the pages because you can connect with others beforehand and plan fun things like this! You can plan a meet and great for various things, not just professions. Think of a TV Show you love, post about it in the Facebook group and plan a meet and great at a bar. Like everyone who loves The Office, let's plan a pub crawl for Office fans! Most bars also have Mocktails too if you don't drink. I am also an introvert. So it's very hard for me to make friends while on the cruise. This relieves some of that anxiety planning things ahead so I know I can go out and mingle and not have to worry about how I will start conversations. Also making a crawl with people who have things in common with me, will allow me to always have a topic in common with the people their. This will help tremendously with my anxiety 😅 If you have favorite drinks from bars on the ship, please let me know 🙂 I will be planning our bar crawl and will post it here next week in case you want to use it for a crawl on your cruise!
  22. As promised, I am going to be doing a live posting while on our cruise that is TWO weeks away!! I cannot believe we are getting closer to our embarkation date. I wanted to create this first post to introduce myself and give a little background of my travel history. This is my husbands and my mini moon trip! We were gifted this trip and so excited to try MSC Yacht Club. This will be his second cruise and my fifth! I've sailed twice on Royal Caribbean and twice on Carnival. We are getting married this weekend (I will post pics if you all want 🥰) and then after that we will be packing! When I start packing next week, I will share some of the things we are bringing. We are going to be making the drive from Ohio to New York. I will be documenting along the way as well. I am so excited for this cruise because my husband, Travis, proposed to me in Nassau, Bahamas December 2021. It was also on a cruise so being able to go back and celebrate our marriage there is an awesome full circle moment. While on the ship, we will be in the Yacht Club. I will mostly be documenting my experience in there. I am someone who loves doing research before traveling. It was hard to research the Yacht Club because I felt as if no one has truly documented their experience while on the Meraviglia. Now even though we will be in the Yacht Club, that doesn't mean we won't be venturing off to other parts of the ship. I will be posting menus from the Yacht Club and pretty much anything else you all would like to see. We are staying in an Interior Room so I will make sure to explain the pros and cons of having this room. My husband and I are both in our late 20s, but I have been writing travel blogs for a while. I have learned from my mom and dad who are well traveled and have been on many cruises. Even though this blog will be from the eyes of someone in their 20s, I still will make sure it is informative and gives you all the tips you may need to have the best cruise! Let me know if there is anything specific you'd like for me to cover. T-14 days until we set sail🥳 P.S. I put some pictures below of when Travis proposed to me in the Bahamas!!!
  23. As I was researching, I realized that there weren't a lot of of posts about the Meraviglia in regards to the Yacht Club. So I decided I am going to do a live blog for my cruise on June 18th! This is my husbands' and I honeymoon cruise and we are so excited. We will be in an inside Yacht Club room, so this post will feature a lot of amenities you will find there. As well as information about the ship as a whole. I am going to write about our journey leading up to leaving on June 18th. This will include packing, our drive to New York, embarkation, and more! While onboard, I will be posting about our day, menus, pictures of food, ports and more! This is my first time doing a blog live, but not my first time writing a blog. I am so excited to share our journey with you. We will be traveling to Port Canaveral, Nassau (which is where my husband proposed to me, so this will be an exciting port), and to MSC's Private Island. Let me know if this sounds interesting to you all. I am really excited to share our journey with you all🤩
