I would guess that we will be hearing soon as they seem to have firmed up some cruises and or charters as they are now booking people on a March 15, 2021 cruise, which is not open to the public.  I called Celebrity today and they do not see a March 15 cruise yet.   They still see my march 13, 2021 cruise, but said that it is locked.  My 5 day March 13 cruise is definitely not going to happen as they are now taking transfers on a March 15 cruise.....

I will never book a 4 or 5 day again unless it is right before the cruise. They make it too hard to make plans.

This will be the pattern.  You will not be notified of any changes until they have everything set in place.  On one website, I see all the Infinity sailings showing for March 2021 but, they are all showing as sold out, except for that one you referred to above on March 27.  Until decisions are made and contracts for charters are signed, they won't tell you anything ... they won't want you to cancel prematurely.  They may even be looking into an extended dry dock or a complete redeployment.  I was on an Alaska sailing on another cruiseline when I received a notification that the ship was being redeployed to Cuba.  Well ... not what I had in mind when I booked Alaska.  The thing is, they were only giving us $25 total to not cancel our booking.  No way!!

"Sorry we ruined your vacation plans. Here's money for a coffee!"

Thanks for the info.  We are booked on several Infinity cruises next winter.  Can you advise about options they gave you, specifically were you given certain cruises you could rebook, and could they guarantee your current prices on the new cruise.

    Hi Phil

I have received a phone call and email today from Celebrity regarding you 07JAN2021 sailing.

Celebrity is cancelling this sailing due to the sailing/ship being chartered.  Below are your options from Celebrity.

Guests on the affected sailing who are interested in similar itineraries can be rebooked in like accommodations at the protected/lowest available rate on these suggested sailings:

    Celebrity Infinity:
    4-Night Bahamas Cruise departing February 18, 2021
5-Night Labadee & Puerto Rico Cruise departing March 6, 2021
    4-Night Bahamas Cruise departing March 11, 2021
5-Night Labadee & Puerto Rico Cruise departing March 15, 2021

Clients can rebook on any Celebrity vacation they choose. Those who do rebook with Celebrity will receive an onboard credit of $200 per standard stateroom and $400 per suite

Brand promotions will be protected for named and deposited bookings only.

Air reimbursement is not being offered.

A full refund for amounts paid will be processed to the original form of payment; however, if a guest chooses not to rebook, the above offer of compensation is no longer valid.

We have until Wednesday, February 5, 2020 to let Celebrity know what you would like to do.

I'm not seeing any deals, at least not on Celebrity. We are retired so we have all the flexibility in the world. Last year we did a 14 day cruise on Allure of the Seas, in a Grand Suite, and 14 days on MSC Seaside, in a Yacht Club Deluxe Suite, for about the same cost per day as an Aqua cabin with two perks.  We used to take at least four cruises a year (all on Celebrity or RCL), now we've just done the two mentioned above in the last 2 1/2+ years with another 14 days on the Seaside, in the YC Suite, this October, with basically the same pricing.

Now, I think those cruises are about 100-150 dollars more a night than that Aqua cabin. (at least for the deluxe suite, you might get the same price for an inside cabin). I ran some numbers:

For a five night Caribbean cruise (Aqua)in January 2020 on the Infinity with all 4 perks - 402 a night.

For a five night Caribbean cruise (Aqua) in January 2020 on the Equinox with all 4 perks - 440 a night

For a 10 night Hawaii (!) cruise (Aqua) on April 29 of this year on the Equinox with two perks - 351 a night!

The corresponding cruises for a YC club deluxe suite on the Divina were 622 and 587 a night.

I did try a 7 day on the reflection and that was a whopping 729 a night in January of 2020, so obviously that is a terrible deal.

I just can't swing 600+ a night, so that leaves the YC out for me. I mean, I guess I could swing it, but I wouldn't feel good about it. 🙂

We enjoy the 5 day cruises.  Last year we booked a balcony cabin (in February) for a December 8th cruise on the Infinity with two perks for $1440 leaving from Ft. Lauderdale.  This year the same cruise, ship, cabin and itinerary is $2025 and leaving from Miami.  That is over a 40% increase.  Looks like it will be an Air BNB in Florida this year.  Plus no need for parking or medical insurance.

You might check the ones for 2021. We are booked on a 4 day in Aqua1 with two perks for 1,936 and a five day with the same perks for 2125, both in January. I know it's more than you spent, but at least it's Aqua class.

Doing a back to back on Infinity next month 3/16 & 3/21. My first B to B. I know I hit Key West twice; I’ll just stay on the ship one time. Looking forward to see what menus and entertainment change and what stays the same. Not terribly concerned about the condition of the ship. It gather it is showing wear and tear, but, based on all my Celebrity experiences, it should be clean and maintained.

I know it's not shiny and new, but I thought it was in great shape.

Thanks Philamyc for the postings.  Getting on the Infinity this Saturday.

Interesting that Select dining is on Deck 4-I guess the amount of guests now require the larger space.

I’m wondering if the MDR is open for breakfast. Breakfast is not listed on the daily listing.

Hope our cabins are in good shape! Haven’t been on the Infinity in 2 years and it’s been a lot longer since I’ve taken this short of a cruise.  Just getting really excited to cruise again.

Thanks! I can't speak to breakfast in the MDR because we had breakfast in Blu every morning, however we did get room service one morning that, I believe, came from the MDR so that would seem to suggest yes. Have a great cruise! We loved it!

Reading all posts with interest!!  Still not sure when Chic night occurs on 4-nt Key West/Nassau cruise on Infinity - doesn't really matter but I'm a planner!!

Also, what exactly are the shows at night??  Variety shows, broadway tunes, acrobats/jugglers, comedians??  Still no Celebrity Today Newsletters for this itinerary - thank you for the pages posted so far - just would like more info if anyone has it...

    Happy sailing everyone!!

Here is day 2. The last page of the paper is the same everyday, so I am not going to repost those. The show on this night was just ok. Kinda cheesy. The comedian on the first night was pretty good. The dance class with the cruise director was fun!

  10. Thanks for your review! My only confusion is on the prices. What do you mean by a YC1 Suite? The only thing I am finding are deluxe suites and that is between 500-600 a night. You mentioned 300 a night, and I am not finding anything with suite in the name that is close to that. I am not familiar with MSC, so I'm sure I am missing something.

    Thanks!
