Thank you for responding. We're considering the Pont du Gard from Avignon, but it seems the travel time is 2 1/2 hours with only one hour at the site. The other is from Arles: the Carrieres de Lumieres and then on to St. Remy. Hope we can get your opinions of both!

We will be taking Avalon River cruise from Paris to Nice. We'd like some reviews of optional excursions that are offered. Some mobility problems, so were any of them especially challenging?
