With your cruise being 2 weeks back to back, you could see how you go with the standard drink package and then add it to the second week if you are after the different drinks on choice or want the coffees in the coffee shop.
For ease of access, here is the drinks menu video from youtube:

Thanks a lot. This video gives me a great understanding of the drinks package 👍

Thanks for the replies. Does any know that if we do decide to upgrade our drinks package...which does look pretty good and the youtube video has given me a great idea of what's on offer...can we try it for one week or does it have to be for both weeks.[/quote
I think if one upgrades then the others on the booking have to do too. I also think you can upgrade after one week for the last week.
Best bet is tweet tui, fairly quick on replying.
Cheers
Graeme

Thanks for the reply Vitalsign. Seems a bit strange that you have to pay for the specialty coffees in the coffee shop but they are free in the bars

Hi.
My wife, 2 of my sister in laws and their husbands have booked the Paradise Islands followed by Seven Shore Caribbean cruise next February for 2 weeks.
Last year we did our first ever cruise on the Norwegian Star and absolutely loved the experience aroung the Adriatic and Greek islands and are now hooked on cruising.
When searching for a Caribbean cruise in my opinion Marella had a fantastic itineary and that was the reason we booked and are so looking forward to boarding the Explorer.
I have a couple of questions. The first being is upgrading to the extra all inclusive really worth it, and if I chose to do so, do you have to upgrade for the 2 weeks or can you upgrade for just 1 week.
Secondly, the Explorer is just a bit smaller than the Norwegian Star. Are the Caribbean seas calm or rough when we will be sailing and will their be much motion when sailing. We are on the 9th deck about three quarters down the ship towards the rear, Port side, and have booked a large balcony cabin.
Your answers will be very much appreciated :D

There are 6 of us also going out on the 17th February 2019. We can't wait as it will be our first Caribbean Cruise :D

Just booked the Marella Explorer for the Caribbean next February and the itinery looks amazing.
We have booked a large balcony cabin and are super excited.
This will be our first time cruising with Thomson/Tui/Marella and have no idea what to expect.
I love the idea of AI drinks and tips included and have been told the staff are excellent.
I can't wait to read the reviews and see the pics when it goes into dry dock in April and sets sail to the Med from May.

Just a quick note. My wife brought her hair straighteners with her.

Just off The Star. We docked at about 1.30pm and had to be tendered into the port. We were number 18 and the tendering process was quick as the tenders were a lot bigger and it took less than 10 mins. Santorini and Kotor were the only ports in which we had to tender. Unfortunately tendering to Kotor was horrendous. We were only there for about 90 mins which was such a shame.

Thanks for the reply. So would it also be worthwhile to take a us plug adaptor and a European one

Hi,
Just 2 days away until our first ever cruise. Can someone please tell me how many electric sockets are in a balcony stateroom on the Norwegian Star and what plug adaptors will I need. I'm from the UK.
Thanks,
Graeme

Hi,
Glad you had a great time. We are on the Star this Sunday and really excited but at the same time slightly anxious. This is our first ever cruise.
We are in a balcony, forward on deck 9 and only two cabins from the front of the ship.
I am worrying that this is the worst place to be if you suffer with seasickness, which my wife does.
Do you know if my wife is allowed to bring her hair straighteners and hairdryer with her.
Thanks
Graeme

Hi,
Can my wife bring her own hairdryer and straighteners on board the Star. How many plug sockets will be in our balcony stateroom and what adaptors will I need.
Thanks

Sorry I've just read that a lot of these bars are open until close. What time is close, until everyone goes to another bar or bed?
-
What times do the various bars close at. I know O'Sheehan's is open 24 hours?

Yes are gratuaties have been prepayed. We are still debating whether it will be the cable car, the walk or the donkeys. Don't fancy the donkeys cause I've heard some interesting stories. Thanks all for the great and very informative replies.

Thanks for the reply. Getting really excited now. Only 9 days left

I've just checked my NCL and you can pre book the thermal spa before your cruise.
-
That's great. Thank you Fifi1910 for your reply. Did you notice if all the sun loungers were taken up or is there always somewhere on the ship where you can lie and relax and do a spot of sunbathing.

Thanks for the replies. Greatly appreciate it

Hi,
There are 8 of us from the UK sailing out of Venice next Sunday on the Star.
For 6 of us this is our first ever cruise. When we booked our cruise it was before it became all inclusive.
I have a few questions that I hope you experts will be able to answer.
1) I don't have a credit card. So will it be ok if I bring US dollars on board and have these put on my on board account.
2) My wife wants to know what the weather is like on the upper deck on the evening/night so we can have a drink in the Bier Garten.
3) Are the Galleria shops reasonably priced or expensive.
4) Are there any free coffee's/cakes at the Atrium Cafe.
5) Are the ports of Kotor, Corfu Town, Santorini, Mykonos and Dubrovnik all within walking distance or are there taxis/buses available.
Many thanks.
Graeme
