  1. Hi,

We are on our first ever cruise flying into Venice on the 11/06/17 on the Norwegian Star.

As we have heard conflicting reports regarding our checked in suitcases can someone please clarify the following :-

When we are at Marco Polo airport do we collect our own cases as we have heard that you don't collect your cases as they are delivered directly to your cabin.

I personally would assume that you collect your suitcases and when your transfer takes you to the port the porters take your cases.

Am I right in thinking this?

I have printed off our luggage tags from our edocs and I feel that they would get torn off easily. Do the porters at the cruise port give out the adhesive luggage tags.

Your replies would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Hi,

Firstly I apologise if this has already been asked. We are due on the Norwegian star on the 11/06/17.

As this will be our first ever cruise I am slightly confused regarding putting cash on our room card.

We don't want to give a credit card upon embarkation and instead if we elect to buy anything on the ship we would like to pay cash.

I know that you can't buy anything using cash, but am I right in saying that as everything is priced in US dollars then we need to arrive with dollars and have them put on our room card.

If we haven't spent all the money on our room card do we get it back as dollars or pounds as we are in the UK.

  3. Thanks for the replies. We have a forward balcony on deck 9 so really looking forward to the cruise.

We have three speciality dinners who were free when we booked. Can these be shared amongst our friends and family who are travelling or not, and does your room card have your photo on it.

  4. We booked our cruise through Virgin Holidays and our forward facing balcony on deck 9 has cost us £3144. This includes the ultimate drinks package, three speciality dinners, pre paid gratuities, transfers and pre booked seats on the plane.I have checked the NCL website and our cruise is now £2798 all inclusive. The flights are £445 and with transfers it would be about £3300.

So would I spend £155 on coffees and water. No I wouldn't so I reckon we got a better deal before it went all inclusive.

Regardless it's our first ever cruise and I can't wait.

Does anyone have any idea what time the nightly shows in the theatre start at?

  5. Firstly I apologise if my question has already been answered.

I booked our Greek Cruise departing on the 11/06/17 last September and the Ultimate Beverage Package was free, and we have prepaid our gratuities.

As all NCL uk cruises are now all inclusive how are we affected regarding free water, selected specialist hot drinks, free room service etc. Will this apply to us or not?

  6. Hi,

Our first port of call in June is Kotor and as this is myself and my wife's first cruise is booking an excursion through this company safe and do they collect and drop you back to the ship in plenty of time. That's my only worry about getting back in time before the ship leaves.

    Thanks

    Graeme

I done it with Mont Travelers too. Twice, it's always the right choice. Their web site is very useful. it is all about must see places in Montenegro around Kotor, I suggest to check it even if you decide to explore the country on your own. www.monttravelers.com Hope that you all enjoy the beautiful Montenegro.
  7. Hi,

Myself, my wife and four other are going on a Greek Islands cruise in June and for four of us this will be our first cruise.

I have a couple of questions that I hope someone can give me the answers.

Am I correct in saying that if you have the unlimited drinks package that you don't have to sign a receipt and therefore no gratuity is added. Our gratuities have already been paid.

And secondly, are there sufficient sun beds to lay on and do a spot of sunbathing.
