Thanks for the Info..now have better appreciation of Stockholm time required between arrival and air departure, Again Thanks
-
We are looking at a cruise on the Explorer that ends in Stockholm. We understand that ships can either dock at Nynashamn or Stockholm. Can anyone who has ended their cruise at Stockholm on the Explorer tell me where they docked and time needed to catch first flight to Canada from Stockholm.

That IS good news. Thanks, flossie009, and everyone else who responded to my query.

We are contemplating a back to back cruise next summer. The cabin that we prefer is only available for the first leg of our trip. When that cruise is finished, we would have to move to another cabin. We are wondering if anyone has had that experience and if so, what is the procedure?

We were in cabin 621 03/11/2009 Western Caribbean and felt nothing.
Since then they have done a lot to the ship to try and make it more stable.
Will be in cabin 621 10/28/2018 Montreal to Miami so will get to see
how it is again.
We are joining the ship as you get off, Jim. Thanks to you and everyone else who confirmed that this cabin is a good choice.

Thanks so much for the quick positive replies. We will look forward to staying in that cabin.
P.S. It's good that we both like scrambled eggs, Fletcher.

We have just booked a Caribbean cruise in November. We are in Cabin 621 (heard about the vibration issues at the back of the ship) and are wondering if anyone has anything negative to mention about this choice.

I really appreciate everyone's responses. I believe that we tipped in euros in the past but if we are running low, it is good to know that U.S. dollars are acceptable.

Hi everyone...we are cruising from September 19th to the 28th on the Voyager out of Civitavecchia and have a question about tipping after excursions. Do you normally tip in U.S. dollars or Euros? It's been a few years since we cruised abroad and we can't remember what we did at that time.

We have a cruise booked this fall on the Dawn. It has been several years since we have cruised NCL and we are wondering how necessary it is to pre-book dining times before we sail.
-
Thanks so much to both of you for your responses. We board the Mariner on Wednesday and are very much looking forward to the Regent experience.

I am certainly not wanting to start a tipping war (God forbid) but need someone who has travelled Regent in the past to give me some information.
So, here is the question:
I am assuming that we will be expected to tip the steward if we order room service. We have always done so on other cruise lines, but don't want to commit a faux pas if it is not done on Regent.
Also, I believe that I have read that the tip is added to your account automatically in the spa. Can anyone tell me if this is correct?

TC2...Thanks again...is there anything else we should be aware of????
-
TC2...thanks for the info. Our account shows that we can book excursions on the 24 August. However, it does not show the excursions on the account when we ask for details of each port nor do we have any idea of the cost for Regent Select excursions. Will should we get that info. Right now we are looking at the excursions listed on Regents website advertising the cruise. It provides no times or costs. Any help you can give will be appreciated.

Seasoned cruiser but new to Regent...First cruise will be on 28 day Mariner Cruise Miami to Vancouver via Panama and Alaska 20 April 2016. We have $800.00 OBC. Can we use it to purchase Regent Choice excursions.
In particular looking at Colon excursion Two Oceans By Railroad. Would appreciate comments from anyone who has taken this excursion.

Thanks for the comments on the aft balcony A729 and exposure to sun. They pretty much confirm our thoughts. We are thinking of canceling our cruise. We have some time to make that decision, hopefully we can get some reviews from people that have cruised in these two cabins.
-
We are reserved Suite A729 for Panama (Miami to Vancouver) in April 2016. We are wondering how much overhang on the balcony to provide some protection from the sun. Would appreciate any information in this regard.

Many thanks to everyone for your valuable information. This wedding is my daughter's, so I will pass these messages on to her.

We were hoping for an outside venue with the ocean in the background.

I am hoping that someone who has cruised on this ship may have some suggestions as to a location on deck that might be suitable for a small, intimate wedding at sea.
-
Thanks to everyone who responded. We were looking at an aft cabin on the Dolphin deck and it appears that it would be our best choice.

We would appreciate views of anyone who has cruised on the Regal Princess aft premium deluxe balcony cabins. We are concerned about whether there is any shade on any of these balconies (i.e. overhang from deck above) because of an allergy to the sun in the tropics. Also, are all of the balconies and cabins the same size, or are there preferred decks?

Danish Viking,
Thanks for your quickies, looking forward to the rest of your advice.

There are two of us. Not sure how much luggage taxis can take in Copenhagen, but would be agreeable if taxis can handle all our luggage. We were thinking of leaving for the ship around 11:00. Will that work for you? For ID purposes, DH will be wearing a white Toronto Blue Jays cap.

We have booked a cruise in 2020 and are considering adding another cruise. We won't be able to book the same stateroom so we are wondering what the protocol is for changing staterooms. Do they usually have an excursion for passengers continuing on to the next cruise and, if so, how are valuables such as computers, etc. handled?
