If you definitely want the package, buy it now. If the price goes down, you can cancel your existing order and buy it at the lower price. This way you'll be guaranteed the best price as of today.

Good idea! We really want to go to Wonderland, but figured it was a better deal to do the 3 night package.

As the main airport in Kahalui is 45 minutes away from Lahaina, yes, the West Maui airport is much closer.

Thanks! I just realized I asked the wrong question! I meant to ask if the airport was the closest CAR rental place to the Lahaina port?

Hyatt regency Maui has a rental  depot . Which we’ve organised a rental from for our upcoming visit .  I think we will just get a Uber  / taxi  to get there only a short ride . Can even return the car after hours as well

Did you just call the hotel directly? Which rental companies do they have?

  4. We're on the same cruise & in a similar situation, but our flight leaves at 11:50 pm! We are doing as Bob suggested & renting a car from Budget & returning to the airport. We'll put the luggage in the trunk & spend the day seeing things we didn't get to check out when we arrive in Seattle on the 28th.

  5. Forgive me if this answered somewhere....I am seeing posts about the BOGO dining option. Is this just for the larger ships? We're sailing on Explorer at the end of Sept & they just recently added the FNDR option to the dining options, the ultimate dining & the 3,4 & 5 night packages, as well as the individual specialty restaurants have been there for a while, but FNDR was just added. Do all the ships get the BOGO option or not necessarily? Thanks for any help!

  6. I got the same answer....about 2 weeks prior to sailing the VISA OBC gets added. I also had a gift certificate for OBC that my daughter got us & it wasn't showing up either. After a lengthy chat with an extremely rude agent who started throwing comments out before I even finished what I was saying, I FINALLY got the 2 week answer & an email receipt showing the GC was added. BUT....it still isn't showing on my cruise planner!! I'll check again in that 2 week window & see what happens!

  7. My husband can get discounts from work thru Avis or Budget, so we selected the one near the Space Needle (they both are located in the same building on 4th). We'll either Uber or Lyft to the pickup as they don't serve the pier. We originally were going to go with one of the companies at the pier (they will pick you up & take you to their location), but the discount he gets thru work was so much better, even with having to pay to get there.

  8. ANY changes made on a reservation will have documentation stating WHO called in such as "TA Mary called to change staterooms" or "DG called to ask why stateroom was changed" & any extra details pertaining to the call if it isn't a routine call. Yes, the cruiseline has the TA's name, but they aren't going to just change a random room in the same category without consulting the TA on the booking....an upgrade, possibly, but not the same category. As for RCI faking notes, what would the point be? Documentation is key, especially in an industry where one might be speaking to many different people. I still conclude it's on the TA.

  9. Check out Priceline or Hotwire. We're going at the end of Sept & I kept watching the 3.5 to 5 star hotels....there was an Express Deal one day for $111+taxes($135 total), that I jumped on. We ended up with the Marqueen, which is within walking distance to Seattle Center & the monorail, which we will take to Pike Market. I know its an older hotel, but it got pretty good reviews. Good Luck & enjoy your trip!

  10. We booked a car with Alamo via Priceline with a pick up at the 3rd Street location the morning after our cruise & dropping off at Sea-Tac late that night (12:30 am flight!) for $66 + tax. The reservation didn't say anything about $100 drop off fee. Alamo is also supposed to have a pick up at Pier 91 to take us to the location to get the car.

  11. Check out Priceline for hotels too. I kept watching the "Downtown-Seattle Center" neighborhood & was able to snag a 3.5* Express Deal hotel for $111+ taxes, which came up $135.80. We ended up with the Marqueen Hotel, which, for the one night, seems to be a pretty good deal & will meet our needs. We'll Uber or Lyft from the airport to the hotel, then walk or use the monorail from Seattle Center to Downtown to explore the day before the cruise, then also use Uber or Lyft to the pier the next morning.
