  1. Hi everyone!

My Dad wants to pay for one of my excursions on the Carnival Magic. I wasn't sure of the best way to go about this. Would it be easier for him to sign on through my account and use his CC information to pay for it? Will I have any issues with him doing that? Can he buy me some cruise cash and I use it that way? Or would it be better if he just wrote me a check? Our cruise is in January so I want to make sure it gets booked sooner than later since it's a more popular excursion.

    Thanks everyone!

  2. Thank you so much for the review! Going on this same cruise in January and very excited. We're also staying on the Lido deck so thank you for describing the noise. It's our first cruise ever so I definitely try to research as much as I can. Also both of us are smokers so it's nice to know the best areas! Did you eat at Tandoor at all?

  3. We are on the cruise with you on the Vista :) you may want to skip the seafood shack and try Jijis they say the food is incredible and at only $15 pp it's a steal!

On embark day you may want to try Cucina de capitano for lunch they have my favorite lasagna ever. Both restaurants are free for lunch but $15 for dinner

Try to do brunch if you can. We love the steak and eggs and crazy French toast and a couple of free drinks with our coupons :)

Super random - but do you know if the lasagna is made with ricotta cheese? I've heard countless people talk about how good it is, but I cannot do ricotta sadly!

  4. I'm going to piggyback off of this post if that's okay instead of starting a new one. As for the workout classes - are these in the Fun Times? Going on my first cruise in January and looking forward to staying active but interested in knowing what classes they have and how to find them.

  5. Why not rent a car? Store the bags in the trunk, enjoy the theme park, spend the night in some hotel, and then get up early and drive to the port the next morning to take advantage of your FTTF benefits. All of the PC/Cocoa Beach car rental offices will shuttle you to the port after you drop off the car.

That's not a bad idea. I will look into renting a car. So since I have never had to rent a car before, do we just pick it up at the airport and then drop it off in PC/Cocoa Beach?

  6. We are using Cortrans for the shuttle from the airport to Port Canaveral and return after our trip. This forum and another site has very good reviews. 20 per person each way.

Thank you! I just actually saw this on another thread and had bookmarked it a few moments ago. Looks like a great deal. I booked a different hotel that is closer to Universal, but I am going to cancel it and book of the ones that Cortrans goes to!

  7. Hello everyone! I have been reading through some threads to see if I could answer my questions myself, however there are a lot and I know everyone has different scenarios.

We are traveling on our first cruise in mid-January and just need some guidance or tips on how to get around for what we would like to do. We plan on flying down the day before in the early morning and doing Universal for the day.

Since we will need somewhere to store our luggage that day, we will most likely book a hotel in Orlando. As for transportation to and from port I know there are a lot of different ways to go about it. We have 4 people with us so I know we would need an UberXL if we did that. Or a shuttle service. Or book through Carnival. We also have the FTTF passes for this cruise.

Can someone give me their opinions or tips on the transportation part of my trip? Not sure what is the most cost and time efficient way to go about this. Thanks everyone!!
