I'm curious about these aft oceanview cabins on deck 14 by the Terrace Pool on the Emerald Princess.  We are considering a cruise to Norway on the Emerald Princess and thought these might actually be good cabins since there probably won't be many people at the pool in the colder weather.  Would also like to know if they have one large porthole window or two smaller ones.  Thanks for any information you can provide if you have sailed in these cabins.

We will be docked at Cobh on Sunday, July 9, from 10 to 4.  Since we (6 adults) will be there such a short time, we are thinking of going into Cork on our own.  At first, I thought taking the train into Cork would be fun and easy, but the schedule is limited on Sundays.  I'm assuming there will be taxis available at the pier, which might be a better option and perhaps take the train back.  My questions are:

• What is open in Cork on Sunday?
• Is it easy to get a taxi in Cork (or get an Uber) to get back to Cobh if the train schedule doesn't work out?
• Have you ever walked from the train station in Cork to the city center or vice versa?
• Have you ever been on the Hop On Hop Off bus in Cork?

I think we are on the same cruise possibly.  The ports are Reykjavik, Akureyri, Seydisfjordur, Belfast, Liverpool, and Cork (Cobh).  In Akureyri we are booked with Sage Travel for the Lake Mývatn Classic tour.  I can't find anything for Seydisfjordur.  Cork is only a 6-hour stop on a Sunday for us, so that one is difficult, too.

Muffyn, I would love to hear more about your houseboat rental!  We are going to Amsterdam for a couple of days before our cruise near the end of June and a houseboat seems like a fun idea!  What area of the city were you in?  How many days were you there?  Thanks for any information you can provide.

I will be in Europe when my online check-in opens.  I want to do it right away, so we can try to get an early pier check-in time for the cruise.  I'm also checking in for my son's cabin.  What info will I need?  I want to make sure I have everything since I won't be at home.  Is it possible to chose a pier check-in time, save it, and then go back and add the remaining information?  Thanks!

We will be on Maui from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m.  We are interested in Hana and/or beaches.  Would also be interested in the west side.  We would prefer to have a guided tour for a more relaxing time but would consider renting a vehicle and trying to see things on our own.  

We are a group of 6 (possibly eight) adults looking for a private sightseeing tour on Maui during our Radiance OTS cruise in May.  I'm looking for suggestions of tour companies you have used and would recommend.  Thanks for any help you can provide!

Thanks, ZN1300! That's exactly what I was hoping to find out! We are on Royal Caribbean (Rhapsody of the Seas), so I hope they do the same thing with luggage as Princess. It sounds very easy and probably worth the cost of the water taxi. :D

The site says the water taxi can fit up to 10 passengers plus luggage. Since we are sailing in early November, there are not many ships. From what I can tell, we are the only ship that day. If we are close to the people mover when we get off the water taxi, we will probably be in good shape. Thanks!

We are a group of 10 that are planning to reserve a water taxi to take us from the house we are renting fairly close to St. Mark's to the cruise terminal. I have done a mock online booking and it comes to about 152 Euros for the 10 us us, which I think is fairly reasonable. My question is where we will be let off at/near the terminal and how we get to the ship. Are we close to the people mover? Any help from those that have taken a water taxi to the terminal would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have contacted the hotel and they will check our luggage if the rooms are not ready. We are not expecting them to be ready since we will be there well before the 2:00 check-in time.

Anyone have suggestions for a reliable shuttle service that can accommodate 14 people with luggage?

We are not flying out until the next day, so we are going from the pier to our hotel near the airport.

The itinerary is Montegro and Greece.

We will be reserving a shuttle for our group of 14 to go from the port to a hotel close to the airport after our Rhapsody cruise in November. The scheduled ship arrival time is 6:45. We will be in no hurry to get off the ship, but I'm wondering what a reasonable pick up time would be for the shuttle reservation. Do you go through customs in Venice or are you just picking up your luggage? Also, if you have used a shuttle before and were happy with their service, please give me their name. Thanks!

Will there be a water taxi large enough to accommodate 10 adults with 10 pieces of luggage at Marco Polo airport? I've read that there is no need to reserve one in advance, but would it be needed for such a large group? Thanks for your input!

Thanks, Rsparis, for the information. Storing our luggage may be a good option before going to the hotel by the airport for the night. We are flying British Airways out of Venice, so I'm hoping they open the check-in desks early. I have only read negative experiences about Marco Polo Airport. I'm not much of a morning person, so I'm hoping it all works out for us.

We have booked a 7:00 morning flight on Sunday, so having a short trip to the airport would be good. The Best Western Titan Inn seems close and reasonably priced. Anyone stayed there? Also, we're trying to come up with a plan for after the cruise. We don't want to go to the hotel until later in the day, but we will have our luggage.
