  1. Yes, based on your play. They make it super easy though. Just use your CAS players card when playing to accrue points. After our first NCL cruise (we paid for) we haven’t paid for one since. We usually go on two a year that’s comped in the haven.

Thank you very much. We do the same as you mentioned. Work hard play hard, dining, beverages, suites. We pamper ourselves on vacation. 2 gratis cruises this year on RCCI. Paying for NCL. Wanted to try the Bliss, Haven, and see Jersey Boys ( scheduled both shows!) Thanks for the upcoming time you’ll spend on this & we will be following.

  2. Thank you for your time doing the blog. We will be on the first cruise for Symphony out of Miami. The only 4 nighter. We are giddy with anticipation and so happy to follow your blog. I would happily eat at Wonderland, but glad we didn’t chose it in our dining package as DH would be making his say to the buffet immediately following the Wonderland dinner!! Will be follow the rest and thank you again!

  3. It’s really up to you. I can tell you that I slept in an upper berth on a girls trip and it wasn’t bad at all - even on this 40+ year old at the time. The most annoying thing was the tiny ladder steps. Maybe for the convenience of being on the floor you could stay with the pull out and ask for a egg crate cushion.

  4. Something I like to do on every trip (or any vacation) is to get a post card of the ship or destination. I write the ship and sailing dates & my travel partners. Then the fun part is writing a one or two word phrase of the different things that happen while on the trip. Things like “bingo win”, “bridge tour”, “ice cream mustaches “, Barb’s noisy neighbor”, etc ....later my husband & I review the postcards and the phrases remind us of things that happened that we had forgotten and we have great memories!

Such an odd comment. You didn’t like it but others will love it? I believe all vacations are what you make of them. But I am intrigued... what ship were you on and what made it so bad for you?

  6. We like Cape Canaveral because it is so easy and do it yourself with parking in the same structure as the terminal. But we also like Tampa for the valet parking - fenced in and guarded. Don’t have to run across the street to the parking garage with luggage especially if it is raining.

  7. If you need wheelchair assistance on and off the ship you will be working with 2 sets of people. Embarkation will have first the porters and then a crew member for on the ship. The same wheelchair is used. Just the opposite for debarkation. First the crew member then the porter. We always have 5s in our pocket for our Dad’s helpers.

  8. Although I don’t have a picture I can tell you that although the hill tops are nice they are not terrific if you have mobility concerns, children, or plan to be moving about to lunch, the facilities, or the water. They have rock steps and IMHO hard to use. My family much preferred the standard cabana - right on the sand set back from the water and other guests, but close to lunch and the facilities. It was much easier to drag the float to the water and to get drinks. You can view the water from all locations and anyplace is beautiful. I know others will have different opinions and this is mine. Have a wonderful time! Don’t forget to tip the wait staff as they are usually from Labadee and not the ship

  9. Yes. Do get on the waiting list and do be proactive. By that I mean don’t wait for the team to call you. Last Oasis sailing we were on the waiting list even as we got off at Labadee and we walked over to the shore excursions hut and were able to get a standard cabana on Barefoot Beach and we were only Jr Suite guests. Totally worth it.
