You'll drive yourself nuts trying to deal with changing time zones and ship time. Just adjust a watch to ships time and check it at least once a day.

As long as its light & fluffy and preferably the size of a plate! So your point is: It is beef. It is a roast. It is not roast beef. Do I have that right?
Just curious where you stand on Yorkshire pudding?

My bad, assumed they were referring to a steak. For prime rib yes you would start in in a very hot oven with some seasoning to get crust then lower the temp to cook. No, can you do that with a steak. Prime rib as served on the ships is roast of beef, not a steak. The roasts average 18-20 pounds in commercial kitchens before cooking. That must be some skillet. From " Food Literacy " online: " It’s also very easy to cook. You just start it in the oven at a high temperature to get good browning on the outside of the roast, and then cook it at a lower temperature to make sure the meat in the center doesn’t get over cooked."

Charred first in a skillet or grill pan to "mark" then put in the oven to cook. Most restaurants do thisHow does one char a piece of beef that is roasted in a slow oven?Sent from my SM-G920T using Tapatalk

Booked a Havana Cabana for Oct this year last April. We got the last one before they sold out due to the popularity. The semi-private area was a huge selling point as well as the amenities on deck 5. Doubt we would have booked a Carnival sailing otherwise.

If you've already done the Mayan ruins, just stay on the ship. If not, they are interesting, about a 90min bus ride each way.

Unfortunately you've witnessed "its my vacation and I'll do what I want syndrome". There is no known cure but prevention is possible by reporting those affected with this syndrome to staff if its abusive, smile it off for lessor offensive behaviors or seeking less crowded venues. It doesnt only exist on cruise ships, but is harder to avoid due to a captured audience.

Did a partial transit on Princess, once we got through the locks those that wanted to were tendered to the port for either a train or boat ride to the pacific side lock. They were then put on a bus to meet the ship back in Colon. There were a few options, but that was the basic scenario. Pacific side is supposed to be more impressive, but we stayed on the ship.

Love the IC on Princess, our favorite hang out place. Wish Carnival would rethink how they handleIs there any type of coffee bar on Carnival Breeze that you can go to for coffee and relax. I'm used to Princess International Cafe with fresh brewed coffee and free snacks You do need to purchase the coffee card if you don't want to pay for coffee. Does Carnival have a card you can purchase with out the alcohol package that's just for coffee? What about cookies and other snacks?Sent from my SM-G920T using Tapatalk

If the right terms are used it makes sense. The major "networks" broadcast their content to their affiliates which comprise of their networks for free "over the air" service. The commercials you see pay for the content. Cable & satellite providers pay a fee for this content to put on their system which you pay for with a subscription.
All this is relatively cheap on land but at sea the content must be fed to a ship that is moving and must maintain a system able to handle the vast amount of data that is transmitted.
All this is expensive and as it's not part of the core service and generates no revenue, it's highly likely to be cut or restricted. As stated above, Carnival wants you spending not chillin' in your room watching Blue Bloods or "local news"

Agree, have done little research on the ports this time as I've been to all at one point at least once. The ship is the destination!!!I actually prefer sea days. I love going ashore, but the ship is my destination and would love a longer cruise with more sea days.Sent from my iPad using Forums

If we want some specific that we like, we'll bring it with us as part of our allowance. Certainly cheaper than we'd get it on board and we know it's been kept well

We hung out at a fun one that had swings for chairs as well as 4top high tables. Also had free wifi. Can't remember the name but several options on the waterfront

Check in process never too exciting, would suggest you meet your friend on-board at some predetermined spot to take the pressure of waiting on them and possibly missing your slot if either of you arrive late. Just a thought.

Think you'd have a good ADA lawsuit if they took away his walking stick

No reason why you should have an issue, ice dispensers are away from the food lines with the coffee/water/lemonaidr

Just take a taxi downtown. It's about a 15min ride. You'll find the vendors a bit aggressive but that's just part of the experience. Good restaurants on the town square and plenty of cabs to take you back to the ship. English is spoken by most of the shopkeepers

For $9 I'd leave it at home and take 2 good quality wines rather than risk one bottle being confiscated.
Also sounds like fake Bailey's as there's no Irish whiskey in it.

Only reason we're going back to Carnival is the advent of the Havana area, really dont plan to venture too far from it besides meals and some of the entertainment options

Seen this a few times. That is because CBP does a check against the manifest prior to arrival.Best advise, if you have a warrant best to not cruise or you will get arrested on your return

How long could you hold the surprise?

Never understood the surprise cruise thing. Part of the fun is the planning and anticipation, I would not be happy to be denied that element of the trip.
