The pictures look simply amazing. We have done the Chef's Table two twice, on the Emerald and the Island. Both were absolutely wonderful! We hope to repeat it on the Crown this October on the way to Hawaii!! We are food and wine lovers, so for us, it is quite an evening! Thanks for posting these!:)

Thanks for this wonderful review! We are planning our first river cruise next year with another couple. AMA looks like it would be a great fit for us. We love wine and France, so what could be better!! I'm so happy I found this thread, there are not a lot of reviews on river cruises! :D

Norris, I followed your review of the Emerald late last year and closely followed your recent Celebrity review. I am one of those who took a Celebrity cruise years ago and have not been back. However, your review has peaked my interest. Looking forward to this update!

Tracie, loved your story! Now we have a name for "late arrivals back on ship". We have watched many people running for the ship, even when the shipped has pushed away from the dock! My husband and I are always early, and we would just "die" if we were to miss the ship! Once in Greece, the crew had suggested that we take a taxi to the other side of the island where it was very quiet. The taxi left and we had no idea how we were going to get back to the port. We went to small shop and they called one for us, so I ended up buying some really junk jewelry and terrible wine as a tribute to them. Not a fun excursion!! Way too much stress for us! However, we still do mostly private tours or a rental car for us.:D

Welcome back Norris! Can't wait to read your review and see all of your fabulous pictures. I just happened to look at the Celebrity board today, and yahoo, I found you. We took one Celebrity cruise, way back, and we were not impressed, so have never returned. It will be interesting to see what you have to say! You are a wonderful writer and excellent photographer!!!:D

I loved following the live posts from this cruise. I feel that I was there with you and now really want to do this in the near future. Next year we are doing the 15 day LA to Hawaii, so maybe in 2017 we will tackle the 28 day to the So. Pacific. Thank you for taking time from your trip to share with all of us. Norris, I guess I missed your earlier comments about Bellagio. This is really a must visit city! Very small, quaint, beautiful sites, friendly people, great restaurants with yummy food. We have been there twice and will likely go back again. We love the Hotel Florence with a room that looks over the lake! Very charming hotel and in the center of the city (more like a village than a city). Hope you can see it in the future! I'm sure your photos would be terrific!
