Playing on the tables, you can get cash but they tell you up front that there will be a 3% charge. I've seen people charge anywhere from $20 to $500. I'm sure it has everything to do with your credit card limits. You can do the same on the machines but they have some kind of mechanism that monitors whether you play any or enough of that. Hubby has had his sail and sign card locked down on more than one occasion for putting money on the card and deciding to cash out for whatever reason. In other words, you cant use the machines to skirt the 3% charge.

We are booked on the Conquest on the 29th and it is definitely a Premier Casino cruise.

I just took my 25th cruise. I got my letter AFTER my 24th cruise and used it for the 25th. Very rarely have we cruised in the summer so it was worth more to me on this one than one of our usual Fall cruises.

I think this is new for Carnival. Our last cruise was #25 for me and the first time I ever got a reminder for final payment. It came a week or so before the actual due date. If it shows paid in full on the carnival site. I wouldn't worry too much

It worked really well early in the morning before the masses got up. Outside on the cove worked best. Tried it in the late evening in the room.......notsomuch

We just got off the Breeze on the 12th. We are talking two different kinds of playing cards. Guest services does give you FREE playing cards with the Carnival logo. We got these for the kiddos. They are not as strong or the quality of the cards in the casino.
You can buy the playing cards from the casino for $1 per deck. These are the ones they use at the tables. They will have a corner cut off of a notch on the sides so no one can pass them off at a table and cheat.

Tomorrow's cruise is #25 - I get 25% OBC. 50 cruise 50% obc ect ect. I believe once you get to diamond 3rd and 4th in cabin is free for one time.

Table cloth or no table cloth........Glory has more aft vibration than ANY ship I have been on and my next cruise is #25

If you forget or just don't want to take the towel from your room.......you can "check" one out at the towel desk on the lido. You provide your sail and sign card and they give you a towel. When you return it, they check it off. If you don't return it or leave it on a chair...........you just bought a towel and it will show up on your sail and sign card.
-
I couldn't find it either....until I was almost through with the check in process. It gives you the option just before you put in your charging information and accept the terms.

Beating cancer twice is certainly something to celebrate. I am sure that you and your wife have the ability to enjoy cruising at a level that not many of us ever will. It is a celebration of life that most people will not experience no matter the number of cruises.

It has been a royal pain for about a week. I can navigate parts of it. But, the part where you can book or do a feux booking has the circles that spin and spin. Tonight I tried to go look at excursions for my cruise in 2 weeks....... Whoever is working on that area is a major dumb@ss.

Sorry to be so "stupid" but what is FTTF?
Faster To The Fun......means you get to board right after platinum and avoid the lines. It also means your room will be ready when you get on and your luggage should be waiting for you. They only open a certain number, depending on how many platinum cruisers there are that sailing. It's $50 per cabin......... sold on Carnival.com under excursions

Hopefully it is ok to post this link. There is only one offering for San Juan, but I can attest that it is a beautiful place. We stayed there pre cruise. We DID NOT get in the water and swim though. It has a nice beach, very nice pool, and a casino.
-
We spend a lot of money in the Casino but never received any offer, do we have to do something special?
You need to play with your sail and sign in the machine. I know a lot of folks that only play tables and the do not get any offers. I play more than DH and get more casino offers. He did get some free cruise offers last year but it was a time when we couldn't afford to go.
-
Did you book early saver? I also got the offer but have 2 cruises already booked and paid for in March.. ( early saver)Can I switch to casino offer?
I did check and its offered for 1 of the 2 I have booked!! TIA
If you booked early saver and you qualify, then you should qualify. I've read and heard about some people getting almost the whole cruise as OBC
-
Thanks for sharing. Going on the Glory in April.... I was going to ask what kind of camera you use, but if your DH is a professional photographer, its a mute point. LOL
Was there suppose to be a link to the first and 2nd cruise of your B2B? I think they were the same..........just don't want to miss it if there is another one :D
-
The Casino always makes at least what I paid for the cruise, sometimes double
-
We have gotten "casino offers" with onboard credit. But, no where near free.
My spouse got a free offer for October.......pay 100 get 100 OBC. I can assure you this had NOTHING to do with casino play. He does play but not on the scale that I do..........and he doesn't lose on the scale I do. It wasn't a good time and was offered to late for us to take advantage of. Maybe next time, IF there is a next time.

In the past, I know they have had pumpkin carving contests on the Magic. But, it was over Halloween. Does anyone know if they have a contest on other ships earlier in the month?
-
Lambie, loved your review and your pictures. It amazes me how much territory you cover on a ship! I love that you can still travel with your mom.
-
It amazes me what people bring onboard to either enhance their cruising experience, save money, or .......just because. I've seen and read about some things that make you go huh? We've all read about the blow up baby pools, the blow up Gorilla on the balcony, the booze, water, food...ect. What has been your funniest experience?
We were on a Conquest a couple of years ago. It was western night and the boat was a rockin.... We saw a couple of guys with those costumes on that look like they were riding horses. Not sure if it was the mojitos, the ocean of the motion, or what. But it sure was funny.

I think the OP is being facetious....JMHO though
Everyone wants to bring their own booze, cokes, water, pillows, linens, hairdryers, soap, shampoo, cups, snacks, and even food......not much left besides toilet paper. :D

20 plus cruises and we have not done tea time. May have to go for the salmon sandwiches. I LOVE the salmon on the ship.

Many, myself included book Alaskan cruises during the Aurora peak season with the very high hopes of fulfilling bucket list dreams. I, for one really hope they do make announcements. OP your photos are absolutely gorgeous
