My search is failing me, and I am trying to decide costs. Right now we have the refreshment package, as we don't plan to drink much alcohol. However we do like to have drinks sometimes and it is vacation. How much are shots? How many shots are in most of the mixed drinks? Anyone see my plan?

Water toys are extra at Paradise and Sanchos.
Food and drink menu is slightly diffferent at Sanchos for AI and PAYG - not everything is on AI.

Maybe look at day passes to AI hotel resorts if you want quieter.
We are looking for the toys and things for the kids. We just didn't want to go to the cruise excursion destinations with 6 ships in Port that day. Kids want a fun beach day, and good food is a way to help decide. We live on the border, so getting a fill of Mexican food isn't a big deal. We prefer quality over quantity.

Recent reports on the non-AI side of Sanchos have been negative. There is only one small pool.
PB is larger, offers a HUGE pool, plus better (IMHO) facilities -- changing rooms, lockers, etc.
Your call.
But is the food charge worth the cost? I think my decision is hinting on the quality of the food. Also is all the water stuff, like inflatables, included or extra at Mr Sancho's? There website was hard to figure out what is included in the AI.

Because they offer AI you'll see people drinking more than normally at Sanchos -- not quite a frat party, but certainly more lively than some others.
Thanks. It's it better to be in the ai side it the alacarte side? Which place has better food? Probably won't drink while at the beach or more than one each anyway.

We really like Playa Mia. We have never found it as crowded as Paradise. Lots to do there.
My worry with playa Mia is the ship does excursions there. With several ships in Port, I'm worried everything will be crowded. It isn't fun if it is too crowded to get to use things. I honestly wish we weren't traveling during school vacation time.

I will have to look up Paradise beach. Isn't Mr Sancho's known for the drunk college party atmosphere? Most of what I had seen was chakanaab and playa Mia. I figured those will both be packed with families.

I know this is a common thread, but what beach is best for a simple beach day? My kids (9 & 11) want there to be plenty to do. Maybe trampolines, paddleboards, watertrikes, and things along those lines. My husband and I would prefer less crowded and decent food (AI or not). There will be 6 ships in port, and it will be late December. Help! My only experience in Cozumel was shopping, and a week long dive trip.

Has anyone gone on one of these tours?
Nope, but it looks like it could be fun if we didn't have the kids.

Thank you for the feedback. I was a bit concerned with the price if it was worth it. I'm going to secure our spot this afternoon.

So if someone says they are pregnant or unable to drink for other reasons, what stops royal from putting a no alcohol code on that guest?

I wonder if anyone thinks of it that way for food.
We had a dining plan for a Disney vacation. You bet, we ordered the most expensive things, and never skipped getting the desserts and drinks. We even had the kids order food off the adult menu to have leftovers in the room.

It is only about a 45 minute drive from it port, so maybe we get more time? I guess that is a question I should ask. Dunn's is definitely rushed a bit.

Thank you for this review. I have been debating things. It looks like there are only 2 ships in a Jamaica pretty that day, but most will go to Dunn's. I want my kids to have fun, but there was a disagreement on what to do. This looks like the best thing to get close to what everyone wants.

Same price using the ship's computers.
Crap, I was hoping there was a cheap, by the hour option. I want to pretend work doesn't exist.

Can you go to the computers on the shop and pay less? My husband only needs to deal with email maybe once a day. I'm looking forward to no phones for a week.

I was wondering, as my family is going on that sailing but I haven't seen a roll call.

That's what I'm saying. Not sure if it is still available but they were offering free stays for military at the end of March. It wasn't my first choice for hotel, but couldn't beat the price.

Sharing is not allowed and I have heard there are issues if you get caught. I had considered just getting the refreshment package and buying a couple of drinks a day, but the difference is only buying 2 alcoholic drinks a day if you get it on sale. I would get my money out of the refreshment package on coffees, soda, and bottled waters.

Is that + 18%?
It was $379.96 per person for 7 days at $46 a night and gratuity.

I just got $46 for deluxe. Will I be able to cancel and purchase at a lower price if it drops more? I'm hoping the refreshment package guess on sale for the kids.

We used Ricardo with Liberty Tours and had a blast. We found him through Trip Advisor and he has lots of great reviews. Our kids thought it was one of the best excursions ever. He replied to us quickly when we contacted him at libertytoursjamaica.com. Hope you guys have fun.
Thank you. I'm going to setup an awesome excursion in each place. I am trying to avoid so excisions because I don't want to be packed like sardines.

Price for alcohol
in Royal Caribbean International

$8 for 1 shot? Ouch, but still not bad to have a drink or two on Sea days. It definitely doesn't hit the $26 a day difference between the two package choices.
