Following along and enjoying…..how does the mobile bar work😉.

My husband and I are also elite. Wondering how being elite supports your mobile bar. What do you actually do to save some of your drinks for later consumption?  Love your review. We sailed on Connie several years ago and would love to again sometime soon.

So I posted on Feb. 27 and then nobody commented so I assumed that nobody was reading my posts.  I gave up since that is a lot of work to not get comments or questions on.  The rest of my trip was very nice.  No footstool on my balcony, my room was in very good condition except for chair at the desk (peeling and dirty).  I would be more than happy to answer any questions any of you might have.  Thanks for reading.

Is it too late to request that you please continue to share the rest of your Reflection journey with us? I was so enjoying your posts. I just found your live review this evening was I was looking for recent Reflection information. Please don't leave us hanging. We need to know the outcome of all of your journey goals!

Just off the Allure 4  night Christmas cruise and have several more 4 nights booked.  Yes they have the Broadway Show (Mama Mia on Allure) and yes they have the Comedy Show.  Don't remember if they had love and marriage but they did have Quest.   NOT a party cruise unless you want to make it so.

Just off Allure Dec. 15. Yes, they did have Love and Marriage show as well as Quest. Definitely agree with poster, ours was not a party cruise vibe either.

I love that the Allure hasn’t gone through the amplifications so the large purple Abyss isn’t blocking the view of the ocean.  I also love that the Diamond (or Crown) Lounge is in Deck 11 and has that beautiful floor to ceiling view….

We feel the same. We cruised on Allure in 2015 and just returned from a 4-night sailing on Dec.15. The ship is in great condition, the cruise director is very energetic, comedians were outstanding. Mama Mia is fabulous. Our sailing was the last performance for the current cast and they surprised guests with a caroling performance in Central Park. (nice ) They still have the 70"s party in the promenade which is getting a bit old and the ice show Bladez is definitely not up to par with previous shows.

Why would you exclude tips? For most people pay it, the people who would remove them would be accurate when it cost for total price.

Also, if you want to be accurate, it should include all other costs, such as airfare, hotel, shuttles, meals, and all other money spent to get a true cost of the vacation. In our case, it would be an extra $1,500+.

Many people like myself pay the grats onboard. I know how much they cost;they don't have to be included in the upfront cost. Many cruisers live within driving distance to a port so would not need airfare, hotel, shuttle costs, etc. I like the information the original poster suggested to be included.

I’m on the Odyssey right now and have had a lovely cruise but I have one major thing that I would change.

Please stop reminding us that we will be getting a survey and making us confirm we will give them a 10 rating after every single meal. EVERY.SINGLE.MEAL.  It seriously ended each meal on a sour note that made us quite uncomfortable.

We were just on Allure last week and never had one reminder about any rating in the dining room. First time that ever happened. Very refreshing!

Ability to prepay gratuities using the obc in your planner / include gratuities in the fare upfront

This can already be done. Just leave whatever OBC amount you would like to use onboard in your cruise planner. It will automatically be applied to your onboard account where your gratuities are charged. I did this on my Allure cruise which ended yesterday.

  8. Just arrived home this morning completing a 4 night sailing on Allure out of Port Canaveral. Dec. 11-15 Yesterday we were supposed to visit Coco Cay. The winds started out about 30 kts getting up to around 52 kts. Watched as Coco Cay went by in the distance. The ride to Port Canaveral was windy all the way home. The ship is so big that we only experienced a mild sway but it was certainly noticeable. Looking forward to hearing how the 3-day sail to Nassau and Coco Cay goes this weekend.

We are traveling on Allure 4-night sailing on Dec.11. When you were onboard, how was the overall temperature in public areas onboard? I always carry a shawl or sweater but wondered if the dining room, showroom, comedy club  etc. were overly airconditioned. I expect that the outside air temp for the 10:30 pm show in the aqua theater may be windy and cool. Your observations, please.

The new bus stop is actually closer to the pier.  When you leave the port area, turn right and walk towards Sharkees.  To walk to the Fish Fry, keep going past Senor Frogs, British Colonial, Margaritaville and Junkanoo Beach. Keep walking along the water and you can't miss it.  It's about a mile and a half walk from the ships.

If you decide to go to Oh Andros, take cash because it's cash only.

Good to know about cash only @ Oh Andros. Hubby probably won't want to walk a mile and a half so we'll probably take the bus. Do you happen to remember the # of the bus route you took? Do you think there will be a problem getting/waiting for a bus back to the ship?

We were Allure for the November 6, 4-night sailing. I took so many pictures that I had a hard time narrowing them down for my review. Here is the link: https://susancrow.blogspot.com/2023/11/allure-of-seas-our-first-cruise-on.html  I hope you enjoy it!

Thanks so much for the info on how to get to the Fish Fry. We'll be sailing in 2 1/2 weeks and my husband must have some conch fritters. I think we have taken the bus from George Street in the past. How far away is Frederick Street? You mentioned that you walked back from Oh Andros to the pier. If we wanted to walk there when we get off the ship rather than taking the bus, how would we find our way there?

We were on Allure of the Seas for the November 6 sailing.  They don't give out the Cruise Compasses automatically anymore but I asked my cabin steward and he brought them to me every night.  I'm sure it saves a lot of wasted paper but I noticed Royal hasn't stopped printing paper copies of the daily specials. 😄  For those of you who still like to see the Compasses, I posted a copy here: https://susancrow.blogspot.com/p/blog-page.html

I hope to write a full review of our cruise but meanwhile, here's a review of the mojitos at Boleros: https://susancrow.blogspot.com/2023/11/mojito-madness-on-allure-of-seas.html  Thanks to @PG_Cruiser, I have the actual recipes to try these at home!

Thanks so much for posting the links to the compasses. I am sailing on the 4-day Allure sailing on Dec.11. Can you please let me know what the menu themes are each night in the main dining room? Thanks.

Unfortunately, the cook to order stations aren’t there on all Oasis class anymore, like Allure when we sailed recently. So we ate in the MDR a few nights & it was fine; some things were quite good. Giovanni’s and Sabor were excellent the other nights. Breakfast is always good to me between made to order omelettes, lox & bagels freshly toasted in the CL, and the standard buffet fare. I gained a bunch of weight as I always do & had no issues with the food.

Just to make sure I understand your comments correctly.......does Windjammer on Allure have made to order omelette stations in the morning for breakfast?

If you are at either end of Central Park, you probably won’t hear from your balcony.

I'm assuming you mean that you won't be able to hear the guitar music. Correct?  Was there a jumbo screen visible from your balcony located at either end of Central Park that showed movies or played videos with loud music? Someone complained about it on Wonder and I wasn't sure if Allure had the same thing or  not.
