  1. This is good to know, thank you so much. Did they feature any live music in the passport bar, molecular bar, or martini bar?

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Yes, there was always live music before and after dinner in the atrium on deck 3 right by the Passport Bar. We would hang out there and jump on the "dance floor" whenever we heard a song we liked. One night the Celebrity singers and dancers have a show on the atrium steps that is fabulous. At the end, everyone can join them on the "dance floor" and dance with them. They even dance in the elevators. The type of music varied - some nights it was ball room type, others it was oldies rock and we even heard some alternative rock.

The live acts rotated around the ship so that if you liked one venue you would get to see different acts. We saw live acts on the lawn, at the Sunset Bar, in the Ensemble Lounge, in the atrium, in the Sky Lounge, by the main pool, and of course in the Theater. The guitarist was excellent and we enjoyed listening to him but his music is a bit mellow at times when we wanted more upbeat.

We enjoyed the live music and the variety but really missed a classic rock type band that played more the music of the 70's & 80's. They did have a Beatles night.

  2. We were on Solstice last September and smoothies were included in the Classic beverage package at the Aqua Spa Cafe........and are they good! They are also included in Aqua room service and in Blu restaurant. I had one at least once a day. There are several varieties and it is fun to drink your way through the menu! :p:p:p

So happy to hear they are now included with classic package. I actually upgraded to premium on that cruise mostly for the smoothies!

  3. When we were on the Equinox a year ago, the smoothies at the Aqua Spa Cafe were only free if you had the premium beverage package. I did not see smoothies offered anywhere else. They were really good and super healthy.

  4. We LOVED the Equinox when we sailed on her last March. Everything about that cruise was awesome...that's why we have 2 more cruises with Celebrity booked. After sailing Princess, Royal Caribbean, Holland America, Carnival, and Celebrity; Equinox has been the best ship! Go, cruise, and have fun!

  5. We also don't care about which cabin you are in, which class you are, or what you are wearing to dinner. We have made great friends on Celebrity ships and only once have encountered people who have been mean and snobby to the crew and to us. We should have changed tables but didn't. After that we have chosen select dining and always hope to meet people to dine with. So far we have. You will love Celebrity. The crew is wonderful and you are truly treated like a celebrity which in real life I am not!

  6. We have never had an aft balcony on Celebrity but had one on Carnival. It was larger and had 2 lounge chairs. We have never used our balcony as much as we did on that cruise. Every night we would lay out on our balcony and every morning we would have breakfast there. It is so peaceful and beautiful looking out at the wake. When the moon is shining on the water, there is nothing like it.

We liked it so much we have an aft booked on Celebrity Silhouette (this March) and on Summit (2018). We never noticed much soot or any excess motion.

    You will love it!

  7. Not sure why people say the aft balconies on S class can be seen by everyone. If you lay out on the balcony then people above may see the bottom of your legs, not really a big deal is it? And of course if you get a balcony elsewhere that is protected from above then you are unlikely to experience the sunshine that an aft enjoys.

We have an aft for the first time on Silhouette coming up and it sounds great...part sun & part shade. We also have an aft on Summit on Deck 9 right under the bar. The noise will not bother us but just wondering is this balcony also part sun & part shade? I know the balcony is bigger than on the Silhouette.

  8. Some have said that the bed by the balcony makes it a little tight to get through. Let us know if that is a problem.

It may be a little tight getting to the balcony but I'm sure it won't bother us...after all we will be looking out at that view, how can we not be happy? I'll try to remember to report back though.

  9. It would be nice if they could build a nice waterfront area, get rid of the stupid lawn. The new waterfront area on NCL was very nice, and do u see any new ships with lawns. One of Celebrity biggest mistakes was the lawn. I don't thing u will see on any ships in the future. Remember this is only my opinion and I sure there are people who enjoy it so don't flame me if you disagree. I will respect your opinion.

We will be on Equinox in March for the first time and looking forward to experiencing the lawn. It seems like a unique concept...lounging on the grass with a drink looking out at the sea. Do people not use it? Is there some reason why you don't like it? I'm thinking maybe I have the wrong idea. I have no idea what to expect for the glass show but we do plan attending if it is still going on.

  10. We sailed with Rumbaba a few years ago and have booked with them again for March. It was by far one of the best excursions we've ever done. Here are some highlights:

    • Warm banana bread and yummy Dirty Bloody Mary (their own recipe) upon boarding

    • Raincoats to wear when it started to rain a little

    • Snorkeling in 2 spots in Rendez-Vous Bay – saw lots of fish and 2 different kinds of rays

    • Warm water, great snorkeling equipment, noodles to use when you just want to float

    • We were the only 4 snorkeling in this bay – awesome for seeing fish & taking pictures!

    • Fabulous appetizers & lunch on board – the best Mahi Mahi I’ve ever had grilled right on the boat plus grilled shrimp, a yummy mango cheddar dip, homemade bagel chips, etc

    • All the beer we could drink plus a choice of island drinks (Rumrunners, Bushwackers, Margaritas and Dirty Bloody Marys)

    • Sailing the whole time was a completely freeing, relaxing feeling – so much better than using a motor

    • Only 4 people plus 2 crew were on board so we felt like we had the whole boat to ourselves

  11. Hi

How do you contact "Celebrity One Touch"? I e-mailed concerns@celebrity.com on Saturday but have not heard back from them since it is a weekend.

    Jim

I also contacted concerns@celebrity.com. They were very nice, but even after they "fixed" the problem, the JR still came back! So I don't think it matters who you talk to...Celebrity does not know what to do! We also have booked shore excursions elsewhere. I did get one booked through Celebrity and now I can't even see if it's still there. Hopefully, it is!

  12. I also have this problem and have been in contact with Celebrity three times. Three times they have fixed it and it has reverted back to the JR. I used to be able to see my reservation going into it a different way. Now I can't even do that. I'm not sure I will even be able to finish my online check-in. If they have had IT guys working on this problem for this long and still haven't fixed it, then they need some new IT guys!

  13. Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review. You did an excellent job. I love it so far! I am sorry about your pictures!

We will be on the Liberty in July in cabin 8450, too...first aft ever! I have heard it was hot during the day. That's okay since we don't plan on using it a lot during the day. We do want to sit out in the afternoon before dinner. How was it on your balcony around 4:00/5:00? When did you most use it? Can't wait for coffee in the morning and Bailey's in the evening!

Also, you said you were on board quickly...did you have FTTF? We got it but am now wondering if we should cancel it. Do we really need it at this port?

Thanks again for the review. Looking forward to reading the rest.

  14. I am actually still on the ship. Haha. It was clean and the crew tried the hardest they could...they just all seem so miserable I talked to the preformer and he looks so sad. Poor guy. The shows were just embarrassing and aweful! The food was just ate to survive! The food was really bad. Lol the places we went to were beautiful! I miss them very much! This was my 5th carnival cruise it will probably be my last. Every time I come back I always say I'm not doing carnival again! I will try something different and see what happens. All in all the cruise was a lot of fun! I am very sad to be leaving. The cabin we had 2417,2415, and especially 2417 had so much noise it was hard to sleep they did take 400 off our bill and a future cruise credit of 15% but that will not get us back on

I'm going on my first Carnival cruise on the Liberty in July. This is the first negative review I have seen. If you have time when you get back, could you post some specifics about what you did and didn't like? Thanks!
