How does anyone feel about doing this trip in late February? Trying to decide if it is worthwhile to do this or just take a train straight from Oslo to Bergen and catch up with our cruise there

Thank you for this information. We are going to do this in reverse in late February. I have thought of doing it ourselves but it really costs a lot less. As far as the ferry and bus, did you just walk up to the ferry and buy tickets or did you do that in advance? We would be taking the bus after the ferry so I would imagine it would be the same thing? Do you happen to remember the name of the bus line?

They have a shuttle service that takes people to the hotel from right outside of the dock. It costs 500NOK per person round-trip. If you email them from your website they are very responsive. The website also shows available ice hotel experiences that are available such as guided tours, tour on your own, fun blue ice drinks, with prices attached. It’s listed on their website under experiences, and then scroll down to Ice Hotel experiences.

This is going to make my husband so happy! Lobster roll is his favorite.

Does Luminae have a different menu each day for lunch and dinner? We have a bunch of onboard credit that we need to use, so planning on two specialty dining and five nights at Luminae.

Thanks. I probably should specified that we are on the Solstice. we will indeed be prepared to eat at 8 PM. Hope for an improvement, but expect nothing more than what we reserved.

Hi All, my husband and I are new to Celebrity cruises. An October cruise down to Mexico caught our eye and we booked it yesterday. We are in a Sky Suite if that matters. I want to make some specialty dining reservations, our preferred dining time is 7 PM or 7:30 PM, but there are none available. Do you recommend that I go ahead and make the reservations for the available time at 8 PM and have the concierge sort it out once we get on board? Thanks in advance. Lynnie
