  1. We are wanting a day at the beach-food, drinks (alcohol), and relaxation. I prefer beer to mixed drinks. There will be two "moms" and two recent college graduates on the trip.

Should we go to Paradise Beach, Nachi Cocom, or Mr. Sanchos?

I know we will all drink and eat, but will we spend enough to make the all inclusives worth it? Is beer included in the "all inclusive" packages? Which one would young adults enjoy most?

    Thank you for your replies!!

  2. I have looked through previous posts and I still haven't figured this out. If anyone has sailed on the Freedom in the Summer to Belize, Rotaan, and Cozumel, can you please tell me- does the ship stay on Galveston time? Our itinerary says we will be in Belize 8am-5pm, Rotaan 7am-6pm, and Cozumel 9am-6pm. I'm just not sure what that means in terms of trying to plan excursions. Thank you in advance for any information!

  3. We are sailing on the Freedom in May and are planning to use Caveman Snorkeling in Belize. According to Carnival we are in port, 8am-5pm. We would like to do the Private Hol Chan Tour. The website says this can be up to 5 hours. I know they will get us back to the boat in time. And we have FTTF, so we should be able to catch the first tender. So, is it reasonable to book this tour? Looking for a great snorkeling tour that we will remember and enjoy:)

Any thoughts, opinons, or tips are appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

  4. Xcaret in Playa Del Carmen offers lots of activities. We will be going again next month. We haven't visited Xcaret in a decade,at that time we were on vacation in Cozumel and the staff at the El Presidente highly recommended it. We had all day and no way could we see or "do" it all! Really a beautiful place. I'd recommend going online to check it out.....

Underground caves you float through, snorkeling, Butterfly Pavillion, Bat Cave, SO any options. You don't need to book an excursion, as we obviously just bought our tickets onsite long ago.

Thank you for the suggestion, I will check it out!!

  5. I am taking my nieces on the Carnival Freedom in May as a graduation present. We are in a balcony room with FTTF and YTD. Our ports are Cozumel, Belize, and Rotaan. We are planning Paradise Beach for Cozumel, Daniel Johnson for Rotaan, and Caveman's Snorkeling in Belize. (I haven't booked Daniel Johnson or Caveman yet, starting that process this week.) . My nieces have been scuba diving and are anxious to snorkel. They are both animal lovers and want to see wildlife/animals in the sea and up close.

This is only my second cruise and my first in over ten years. Any tips, ideas, or suggestions/opinions are appreciated!

    Thank you in advance!!

  6. welcome and congratulations on the lost POF (pounds of fat) - If you are on FaceBook - I do have a group for those of us wanted to get healthy through our WOE (way of eating) - Give me your name if you are interested so I will approve you to the team - the name of the group is LCHF Friends Support Team!

Jacque Westwood Arnett on FB. I will look for your group. Thank you for the support!

  7. We are also headed there in May on the Freedom. We are celebrating my niece's graduation from vet school. (There will also be us moms.) I know we/they will drink, but I loved PB when we were there many years ago. Nothing like a relaxing day at the beach!

  8. Just wanted to say hello and join the group. I have slowly gained weight since I hit my 40s. I decided it's time to lose it and started LCHF about three months ago. Thirty pounds down so far, but I need to lose fifty more. It's hard to believe I have gained that much weight since 2012. We are cruising in May, but more importantly is my health and being there for my children and future grandchildren.

  9. I am taking my nieces on a cruise for their college graduation. We already have a balcony-cabin 7703. Now I am considering an upgrade to the Spa level. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? My thinking was since there will be several women in the same cabin it would be nice to be near the spas so that we could use their showers, etc if needed. However, I thought I may want to spend some time on the balcony and I am not sure I want people to be able to look down on me, etc.

But I have only cruised once about ten years ago in an inside cabin, so basically I am a newbie.......

Any thoughts or ideas about my cabin choice are appreciated, other than no I cannot afford two cabins....
