If anyone is on the Reflection or plans on going on this ship. I spoke with 2 waiters every night during dinner, their names were Sheldon and Ryan, they are from Jamaica. I meant to exchange email addresses but forgot. My name is Denise, they would remember me by asking where they got their haircuts! I was traveling with my mom and brother, Kathleen and Ray. I would love to keep in touch with them and if I were ever back in Jamaica and near their hometown of Ocho Rios take them to lunch or dinner. If you can give them my email address that would be terrific, I am not posting my email as I am afraid this may get taken down? Not sure if that is against the rules. Sheldon and Ryan worked in the MDR. TY!!!

I just got off the reflection 2 days ago. We spent a totally of maybe three hours by the pool despite trying to spend many hours per day there. We just could never find chairs. We made the best of our vacation of course, but this did put a damper on things. You pay $$$$ and can't even use the pool. We did just stand one day, but that gets old. One day we couldn't even find a single lounger.

Are you aware that you can book excursions and packages (dining, beverage) beforehand using your OBC? Since your travel agent may offer more OBC that isn't necessarily available before you board, you may want to wait. However, that OBC is generally refundable so you can always pay for your excursions ahead of time using any OBC from Celebrity and if not enough ... pay the difference out of pocket and you will be reimbursed for your refundable OBC. I wouldn't bother doing this with the beverage package, though ...but would do this if you are worried about an excursion being sold out.

I have been on a few sailing where the excursions I wanted were sold out before the sailing. I don't think it happens often but it does happen.

I am aware I can use my OBC, but I already used the OBC that celebrity gave me, and now I have to wait until I get onboard to use the credit that the TA gave us. I don't want to put the money out of pocket right now and I'm willing to take the chance!

If an excursion is sold out, you can be added to a waiting list. Some excursions are easy to add an extra bus or departure time. And they will be if demand calls for it. Others will be more limited and they can't be expanded.

I wonder how often excursions are sold out? I am concerned about our excursion in Cozumel being booked by the time I order it on the ship, but there are sooooo many different excursions, that maybe it won't be filled. My fingers are crossed as I really want to use my OBC.

You can order them on Celebrity web site and avoid the lines. If the beverage package is purchased online, this will be printed on your Sea Card and the shorex tickets delivery to your cabin

I won't have enough OBC until I get on the ship.

The drink package lines have been non-existent. They are set up as soon as you enter the ship. Just have your SeaPass Card and presto. Not a problem.

 

The lines for the excursions are longer but they move quickly. People are often busy at the buffet stuffing themselves the first day. We often book that afternoon. You can also book via the monitor in your room. We have done that and it is easy.

 

No need to worry in either case.

This was very helpful. TY everyone. I plan on getting the drink plan as so not have to worry about any of that, and so I certainly don't have to worry about how much everything is costing.

I plan on buying a package myself but i was curious about a few things.

Can I buy someone a drink with my classic beverage package?

How many drinks are the limit? On other cruise ships it's normally 15 drinks per day or somewhere around there.

If you can buy someone a drink, how does this stop people from sharing one beverage package? I'm with 2 other people that have the package and surely they both won't hit the 15 drink limit a day, what is stopping them from sharing it with me? Just the honor system?

Nope- for example Celebrity on line just ran a 20% off beverage packages, some dining packages and shore X's. If you have cruise credit and call to order, you can also use it. The only "advantage" of upgrading on board is that you can upgrade the 2nd or 3rd day and pay less. So worth the upgrade to premium IMO

I will be in Cozumel in a couple of weeks and we were hoping to do the underwtare sub, but 2 are listed at 2 different prices and I was wondering what the difference is/was?

One listed id Dr Ellen Prager's Ocean Discoveries, which is about $50 more than the other and also is about 2 hours and 15 minutes long.

The other is Reef explorer semi sub. It is $50 cheaper than the one listed and lasts for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Is the only difference that the cheaper one is 45 minutes shorter?

I did not read all the posts in this thread so someone might have mentioned this already.

I had called celebrity during the week to book excursions. They told me to wait until friday for the flash sale. I called on friday and she said that my excursions were on sale!!! But guess what? They were the same price!

FYI. For cruises after January 2018, there is currently a drink package sale of 25% off. Log into your cruise planner and you should see it. The sale ends on Monday 12.18.17

TY for this but I cannot get into that, I get an error that states they are experiencing difficulties, it says to call. When I called she said there wasn't any drink special.

In the year leading up to our cruise, X emailed several offers for 20 % discounts on various beverage packages, internet, and excursions. Check your emails. You have nothing to lose by waiting until you board to book your package. I didn't notice any beverage packages discounted during the cruise.

I have been looking at the emails, and nothing so far! we are less than three weeks away.

I called celebrity to book an excursion because their website is not working. They are running a sale on excursions. Of course when I ask what the sale price is it's the same exact price as it's always been! :')

Anyway. My question what is the difference between the 2 excursions. I see that the Dr Ellen Prager's excursion is 45 minutes longer. Is there any other difference than time?

I am definitely getting the package, my question is whether I should wait or not to buy it?

I have never heard of the drinks package being discounted onboard. We usually have it included in our booking but I would be interested to know if anyone has ever been given a discount.

We have three passengers in a room and it was offered to us as a perk but only for guests 1&2. So I am looking to buy the beverage package.

I am undecided if I should order a classic beverage package now or wait until on the ship. Will they offer a discount once on board?

They have to be losing some money over the crappy website, you'd think they'd try and fix it.
