I have a colleague that used the same disposable mask for months.  He got Covid.  I’m also very careful how I touch mine.  I don’t touch it with anything but clean hands. I don’t use it as a chin mask or store it in a dirty pocket.  Not saying you do but this is some of the behaviour I’ve noticed.

Clean ffp 2 masks. No flights before cruise. Avoid crowded area’s.  And sanitaze hands all the time. Clean the room often with detttol. But almost nobody wear masks and people passing by couging on your food, drinks when eating.

I have learned that only be carefull is not enough.

You can cruise safely.  I’ve done it twice.  I’m on my third and hope to make it through the third.  I wear a mask all the time except when eating or drinking.  I don’t do shows, but I rarely did before.  I spend a ton of time outside.  I have a woman that’s in the cabanas that is barking (coughing) a lot. People just think Covid is over but it’s not.  That’s the problem.

I wear masks all the time and got covid on my first cruise.

I'm confused. For our upcoming cruise (18-day, R/T San Diego, Koningsdam, 01/31/23 to 02/18/23), the on--line info on our booking says for each of us: "Complimentary Dining: 2 credits available." The word "Dining" is underscored to indicate a link, which  shows us 5 options to reserve ranging from Canaletto (@ $22.50) through Nami Sushi at Tamarind (@ a la carte pricing) and Pinnacle Grill (@ $46) and Rudi's Sel de Mer (@ $47.20) to Tamarind (@ $34.20).

So,... I'm wondering what we're getting and at what cost?

    =Bob=

For hia is it Tamarind or pinnacle on pinnacle class ships.

I was hoping that specialty dining would get some BF love, but thus far it's just regular pricing and HIA is still $50 per person per day. They do advertise that spa is 25% off, but weekly access to relaxation area is still $149 per person.

Currently debating doing HIA. We will eat at all 3 (PG, Tamarind and Canaletto) and one or two drinks per day. Right now, I am still leaning towards separate purchases for everything.

How long you want to cruise?

For a week there is one restaurant in hia.

Does anyone know if HAL offers the White Summit excursion and onboard credit frequently, or was that a rare offering?  I held off on booking because I was thinking the Black Friday deal would be better, but it's actually more expensive and doesn't include those two savings.  Debating if I should book at this higher cost or wait in the hopes they offer the train excursion and onboard credit again.

I am not sure i don’t have follow Alaska cruise deals before.

The three Pinnacle class ships have the full Music Walk. None of the other HAL ships have as expansive a Music Walk.

Can someone explain what a music walk is? It was on the Rotterdam also but we have tried to avoid crowds back then.

Thank you both for the information.  I now have an option to compare pricing and benefits.

For some reason, probably historic and political, Republic of Ireland is 'managed' by HAL/Carnival UK even though Ireland is EU and UK is not.  Next time I may have to reconnect with mainland Europe.

    Oh wow that is strange.

I had even a price comparing from USA but Hal forces that company to charge 100 usd pro person for outside use. And then the price with the free train ride and 75 obc was just a little bit better to book in Europe.

Thank you!  I can never remember the correct name.  We just ask each other "Will we have one of those very small, low fat, low sugar, low cholesterol, health food buns with our skinny lattes?" 😉😁

    Hahaha!

Yeah, I am Dutch so I know these.

On the Rotterdam I only eat one but it was so good!

I don‘t know which cruise you are looking at.

We will never travel to Alaska without having a balcony cabin because there is so much to see… we are also sitting outside after waking up in our Pyjama and a blanket….

the most important thing is : book the cruise if the price is good for you ! If it is getting cheaper it will be a nice extra …

but don’t book the cruise when you think the price is not ok and wait for a drop….

    Koningsdam from Vancouver.

a balcony is to expensive at this moment.

And early dining is already full. But we would like to do de open dining.

we are also from Europe and book our HAL cruises always as early as we can
If the price drop for our cabin we call our TA and in a short time we will have the better price or if there is a better promo we always change to this one (just did. for our Alaska cruise in may 2023).

For this cruise we are waiting for cheap flights in C 🙂

How do you get pricedrops? In the netherlands it cant.
