My pet peeve is the waving of napkins in the air, that have been on people's laps and on their mouths. I always cover my food and drinking glass.
I have never thought about it. But you're right....that's gross.

My other pet peeve is when I see people set buffet tong handles directly onto the food. Now all of the germs that were on everyone's hands are on the food.

As long as the doctor didn't mention the patients name, there is nothing wrong with him telling about what happened. Patient confidentiality means nothing if you don't know the patient's name.
Exactly right. Well stated!

I booked directly through Norweigan Cruise Line, as I was on a NCL cruise, but I see from their website that you can book directly through Stuart Cove.
Thanks!

I have done the shark dive with Stuart Cove's in Nassau (while in port on NCL cruise) and they were FANTASTIC. I would highly recommend them.
Did you book the shark dive through Carnival or directly through Stuart Cove?

Correction: I see that Carnival does offer diving in Freeport. But I'm still not seeing any diving offered in Nassau.

We just booked on the Carnival Magic for Dec 28, 2014. The itinerary hits Key West, Nassau and Freeport.
In looking at the available shore excursions, I don't see any scuba diving! Does Carnival not offer any diving in Freeport and Nassua?

I don't understand all the comments about living in a dark closet or about how cramped the inside cabins are. We have cruised many times, almost always in an inside cabin. Since the only time we are actually in the cabin is to sleep or change clothes, why would we spend more? We are HAL cruisers -- maybe their inside cabins are bigger than other cruise lines but we have cruised three times with our two daughters in the same inside cabin and still never felt cramped! If you think it is too dark, then bring a nightlight with you. And when you are at dinner or in the fitness centre or at the bar or on an excursion or at the pool, who cares what kind of cabin is sitting empty waiting for you?
Exactly!

We like inside rooms because they cost less (which means we get to vacation more often) and they are dark and cozy for daytime naps.
Since we have never had an ocean view or balcony cabin, I don't know if we would prefer them.

We prefer traditional dining because we like to meet new people. Also, we enjoy having the same wait staff every night.

Hello again! How has everyone been? We haven't been around much lately.

oops, you're correct. Oh well it is a good summary for those that don't have time to read through 2,000+ posts.
Thank you! I have seen thread titles regarding the PVSA but I really had no idea what it was. Thanks for explaining it!

A motorcycle on a cruise ship?
I wouldn't think a cruiseline would accept that kind of liability.

I think I must be in cruise withdrawal.
Must get...onto...cruise ship.......stat.

My gf and I are going to be on the carnival conquest 5/4/08. First cruise for both of us! I'm even more excited after reading a few posts here with great reviews for the conquest. We can't wait! I was wondering about the FOD meetings. I'm assuming it's just a time to meet some family on board, but I thought I'd get the scoop from some frequent cruisers. Is there usually a good turn out?
There were only four people at our FOD meeting. (and we were two of those people!) The other two were men. One was the ship's chaplain.

OK....so we booked the Conquest again for Feb 8, 2009!!! We had such great time last year we want to go again. I wanted to book it for the week of my birthday in Jan. but the ship will be in dry dock for the last 2 weeks of Jan 2009. So we changed to Feb. and hopefully the ship will be all nice and shiny after be in dry dock for 2 weeks. We would love for some family to join us. Any one interested in going??
Texas Diver.....we would love to go with you in Dec 2008, but we both work for the USPS and we are not able to take vacation time in Dec.
I never really thought about postal employees not being able to take Dec vacations but it makes sense.
Have a great time in February!

I have a question, unfortunatly the search function is down and I didn't want to search through 98 pages :D. I know that the Pointe is the fine dining restaurant and that it has a $30 a piece charge. Do the other non-dining room restaurants have a charge, such as the sushi place or the fish and chips place?
No, there is not an aditional charge for the sushi place or for the fish/chips place.

Hi all,
We have been absent from the boards for quite a while. Yesterday we booked the Voyager of the Seas for 12-14-08 so it has brought us back to the boards. Wanted to say hi!

New Been Called Nor Offered
in Carnival Cruise Lines

I've never been offered an upgrade and I don't think I would like it. I paid for a certain room for a reason. My cabin choice was not arbitrary.
Having someone call and try to up sell a higher-priced cabin wouldn't sit well with me.
