I have been on the Dream twice and just got off of the Fantasy today.

I expected to dislike the Fantasy. We live about 45 minutes from Mobile and got a last minute deal.

I really liked the Fantasy. It is older but for the most part she’s in really good shape. The recent refurb probably helped her a lot.

I love the Dream though. It has the best spa layout I’ve seen on a ship

After some pleading our local health department broke protocol to issue her a birth certificate

I apologize for explaining how it could happen. What difference does it make how it happened?

It’s the first time they have cruised and they have 4 children under the age of 6.

It’s obviously not ideal and not an excuse but it is what it is

My sister-in-law just discovered her passport is expired and can not find her birth certificate.

Our cruise leaves tomorrow. Has anyone ever had this problem and figured out some miracle to be able to board.

How did the ship hold up during the storm.

I know each passenger can bring a bottle of wine as a carry on.

Can I bring a bottle of champagne?

We will be in Cozumel next Saturday. Are there any sports bars or restaurants that will likely be showing NCAA football?

If you and your husband would spend time on the spa, absolutely.

The rooms are quiet, the spa is also usually very quiet.

We have really enjoyed the Dream and the Vista.

How does the Spendor compare to those two ships. The Splendor has an itenarary with our favorite ports. So we are considering her, however Id rather have a great ship then great ports.

We were on the same cruise.

We did both the steakhouse and JiJi. The steakhouse is consistently good. JiJi was our favorite meal of the trip.

The new elevator system.....there is a panel where you select your floor and then it directs you to a specific elevator.

It helps prevent stopping at every floor.

I was thoroughly impressed with the Vista. I was very concerned about the trip reading some of the comments.

Negatives

- couldn't get into Curaçao because of high winds it was disappointing but understandable.

- they installed a new elevator system that improved the elevator flow significantly. We were on a high floor and had few problems. The folks on the middle floors had problems. I would advise getting high floors or low.

- we were a bit late getting into grand Turk which caused back ups getting off the boat.

-dessert was inconsistent. Ice cream was not great.

Positives.

- the boat never felt crowded (except for elevators)

- the mdr had far more hits then misses.

- JiJis was amazing it was the best part of this board I would not have tried it if not for you

- embarkation and debarkabtion were easy easy easy. We were off the boat and at FLL for our flight by 830.

- Staff was amazing. I really liked having The crew able to mingle with customers was great.

- The gym was great

- The BBQ and Mongolian were great.

If I have the bottomless bubbles plan will the fill my yeti with soda?

Thanks everyone. Neither my wife nor I are huge drinkers, however the setup seems like a ton of fun.

Can you get cocktails that aren't on the menu at Alchemy?

This is our first time on the Vista. In the past on the Dream, my wife and I have made steakhouse reservations after looking at the MDR menu for the night. The Steakhouse was rarely full.

Does the Steakhouse on Vista fill up faster? Do reservations need to be made ahead of the cruise

We are going to be on the Vista in a Spa room in a few weeks.

Is the Vista spa setup pretty similar in size and amenities to the Dream?

One of the things we loved about the Dream was the large showers in the Spa area.

We are going to the Southern Caribbean for the first time at the end of the month on the Vista. We are going to Aruba, Curaçao, DR, and Grand Turk. Are one of the stops better for shopping then any other?
