  1. Sister looking into a last minute cruise and all accessible cabins are full obviously. The PVP is saying since all accessibles are full, she can't bring a wheel chair or a scooter, even if it fits through the cabin door.

Sister says Heald on facebook says as long as it fits through the cabin door, it does not matter whether your in an accessible cabin or not but PVP wants to argue that is not true..

Can anyone give first hand experience on this and doesn't all of the scooter rentals for cruising allow for any door entry or is that something to be aware of?

  2. Since we are talking about it, I guess being gold for so long, my wife and I were just use to getting one free drink the entire cruise.

Swapped to platinum last cruise and that gal at guest services said you get a free drink every sea day brunch, (for platinums) but we did not realize that.

     Has that been anyone's experience?

  3. We sail on the Sunshine at the end of this month and I logged in last night and there was a tab for an upgrade offer.

Been sailing many times and never saw one of these upgrade tabs on any of my bookings. Is this a new way of offering upgrades or have they been doing this for years and I just never received an offer?

We went from deck 2 OV to a spa balcony for only $190 more bucks!

  4. Just for the record, we sailed back in July and I took my brokerage statement to guest services. The guy said he would send it to corporate and I should have my credit at the close of the next business day and sure enough, it posted.

I received an email immediately after booking that in part stated this:

If you want the whole email, I'd be happy to post it.  I just didn't want to post a lengthy post unnecessarily.

Thanks, not necessary. They are on the cruise and had no issues during boarding so your guess is as good as mine if indeed the vaccination attestation was never answered by them.

Maybe BIL answered it and did not realize he had answered it but they both swore the link was never available to them on their cruise manager nor did it ever show with the green check mark as having been completed.

BEWARE!!!!!!  I just went to my cruise planner to be sure I still had the green check mark for the vaccination question ( I did it within the 48 hours when it showed up for my family of 3). I was going to take a screen shot of it as mentioned here.  For some reason they kicked my 15 year olds information out (he is vaccinated).   I had to fill his information out again and then I took a screen shot.  If I didn't double check I never would have known.  Would they have let him on the ship?  If you have kids, double check that their information hasn't been kicked out.

    Holy cow!!!!

Maybe. Carnival was having IT issues just before our cruise and people couldn't fill it out online. The link below is the form we needed and it includes the vaccine question, anyway.  I don't know if they still use it or not.

Maybe they filled one of those out and that is why there was no separate link and the link was not needed, I sure hope so.

  9. I went out of Florida the 18th and had the vaccine question. I am not going to stress my sister out any more about this about telling her what she needs to do or who to call. I have been telling them for 12-14 days now that there is a vaccine question they will need to answer unless something has changed and it sounds as though nothing has changed because I have relayed all of yall's answers to them.. I even offered (two separate times) to look on their booking with some fresh eyes to see if they were overlooking it, because I just got off the Horizon a week ago tomorrow and have done this whole process very recently and never got an answer either way from them. That was probably BIL's doing so if he screwed up trying to be the big know it all man and is trying to do all of this on a little smart phone and does not see the vaccine link then so be it! I don't know what kind of privacy issues he thinks there would be with me looking for them but if he don't care then I guess neither do I except for her sake!

Yes, that is why it took 24hrs. The guy at guest services said he would have to email the office and fax what I had in hand. He also said he would call the next day with an answer and I will be John Brown he called just like he said he would which surprised the heck out of me. The rules say you are supposed to send the request I think 3 weeks before sailing but I did not book until about 2 weeks or so before sailing so 3 weeks would have been impossible. I also took copies of the the email I sent with no response from Carnival and a 2nd follow up email I sent with no response and he faxed all of it. Maybe since I had proof on a hard copy that I indeed emailed the info and never got a response was why it was so easy.

Well, he said fax but I guess he ran it through a copier and emailed it, I don't know but it worked fine!

That is interesting. I thought they had a minimum time before boarding, 72 hours IIRC, past which you could not apply. Were they able onboard to do it immediately, or did they have to check back with the home office?

When we cruised we were required to print and fill out a questionnaire. They had plenty of blank ones at the port if people didn't bring with. If they don't have their vaccination cards - big problem.

This thread is not referring to the health questionnaire, well, I guess you could call it a vaccine questionnaire, we are talking about the one question link in your cruise manager asking you to certify your vaccination status. They have their vaccine cards and it should be understood that currently that is as important as your passport if you have no exemption. They filled out the health questions and I did too a couple weeks ago for my sailing the 18th on the Horizon but never was I required to hand over a copy during embarkation. Maybe things changed since you sailed.

  13. They just called him again and he says if they were going to cancel them, their booking would not be on there this late in the game. PVP supposedly has notified someone to call him when they are on board but they have been looking for this link for over a week now, ever since I told them about it a few days before I boarded the Horizon on the 18th. Is it possible brother in law overlooked it somehow, I guess but I sure hope that is not the case!

Any half off prices for beer at the Red Frog pub in the ship, I know that last year the Breeze had

half of happy hour even if you bought a case of beer and taken to your room, I bought a half price

bucket, and saw people buying the cases of beer.

Never that I saw... I even asked a server if they had a happy hour like before anywhere on the ship and he made the DA remark that every hour was happy hour. Pitchers of that red frog draft were 60oz and about $20 after tip I think which aint bad if you like it. I am an IPA guy and the red was not bad, I drank a pitcher of it.

  15. I know this can be fluid about the health assessment and the vaccine attestation, but I just got off the Horizon last Saturday and there were two different and specific links to click on in the cruise manager, one for the health questions and another link simply a yes or no question about if you are or are not vaccinated. These had to be done before sailing. My sister and her husband are sailing tomorrow on the Mardi Gras and they are saying nowhere in their cruise manager is there a question about are you vaccinated or not.

Does anyone know if this is part of the health assessment now rather than a completely separate link? They are unsure if it was in their health assessment or not and are currently traveling.
