Hahaha, I quite like challenging puzzles and often borrow them from the charity shop I volunteer at, to check all pieces are there. One of the workers brought this one to me, I don't think she realised how straightforward it would be - it took me about an hour, for age 6+ and just 100 pieces -

    Very impressive, both of you.

  2. We were in a Deck 7 Vista Suite on Sirena just over a year ago.  Same ship as Regatta.  It was perfect, even though the movement in a huge North Sea swell one night was more than considerable.  That didn’t concern us; and I actually quite enjoy the movement of the seas.  The only drawback was the strong blast of air as we opened the door to venture on the forward-facing large deck while at sea.  It was a magnificent vantage point gliding into and out of ports.  A very comfortable and spacious suite.

I think I saw at least 3 different stepped locks in Scotland. Then there was the Falkirk Wheel which is amazing and replaced a series of 11 locks.

The Falkirk Wheel is incredible.  We were so lucky.  We stopped by on our way to Fort William, too early for its opening time.  The Operator, Stuart (of course),  was also early, and recognised our accents.  He said he’d spent several happy years in Oz.  He switched on the entire operation and gave us a private demonstration.  We felt so lucky and grateful.  Amazing engineering ahead of its time.

That was a big oops.  He wasn’t meant to be in the one I posted.  Too late😂

Yes, correct it is the she-devil.we had a bit of a white out but it was still wonderful.

    Your go.

It’s so beautiful in that region.  I’ll look for something.  Just watching Dolomite young man Jannik Sinner demolishing Novak!  At least at the moment.

Thanks Linda, this will be the second time we have been so close to an F1 race and not gone. We were in Belgium during race weekend but it would have cost about $2500.00 to attend because of the price of accommodation. The only room available was priced at $1300.00 for the 3 days (and you had to book all 3 days), normally that room would have been less than $400.00 for 3 days. This time we have to leave Melbourne the day of first practice. So near yet so far.

It’s the story of ages:  create a demand, and they will pay.

If we had one more day there would be track action. I was able to go to the Indy Car Race in Vancouver 3 years in a row in the early 1990s. We had paddock passes and I was able to meet some of the great names in racing. Mario Andretti, Emerson Fittipaldi, Nigel Mansell and many more. I have 2 checkered flags filled with Autographs, including a young Canadian named Greg Moore who was tragically killed in a race just a few years later.

I did look into some track activities at Philip Island when we were planning one of the cancelled trips. There was a ride in an Audi R8, also a V8 super car. I thought about it briefly and then realized I had very little chance of even getting into either of those cars. It would be cool if someone was out doing hot laps. I haven't been near a live track for a very long time. Maybe I can at least get some F1 swag while we are in Melbourne.

    You really are an enthusiast.
