We have been notified today that the world cruise from Australia next year is not going via the Red Sea. Email says new itinerary should be released by the end of this month.

I’m not sure about that , I think if it’s got a overload protection you can.
Just take it and declare it,they might want to test it.
Worst thing is they will give it back at the end of the cruise. I always look at the table of things they take of people. It’s usually hair dryers ,irons and things that heat up.
I can’t understand why people take rice cookers and sandwich presses on a cruise.
I think the problem is when it does have overload protection. I’d hate to have it not returned so probably not worth the risk.

Just wondering if you can take a non surge protected power board on Quantum. First time on Royal for a longer cruise and leaving from Brisbane on Friday.
Thank you in advance.

It was done away with some weeks ago now. So no longer required to board a Princess Cruise in Australia.

1st 2 things that come to mind: 1) Suite breakfast - on the Majestic it will be in Harmonyrestaurant every morning. Don't feel limited to what you see on the menu, they will get just about anything you ask for (within reason) and enjoy the mimosas and cappuccinos. 2) Take advantage of the Concierge lounge - early morning latte or coffee or espresso, juice and pastries; afternoon snacks and before dinner appetizers and wine/cocktails. Also, get any of your needs or questions handled by the Concierge- don't stand in line for Excursions Desk or Guest Services or Specialty Dining reservations. So convenient!!! Enjoy.
Suite breakfast on Majestic was in Crown Grill last time I was on it. -

If you're travelling in out of the way areas (outback; remote Queensland, Western Australia or Northern Territory) you'll more than likely be in a smaller aircraft. I would follow the recommended size as some of those aircraft are petite!
Just for reference, QANTAS is an acronym of Queensland And Northern Territory Air Service so doesn't need a 'u'. You may need that in a trivia quiz!
I hope you enjoy your travels here.
To be really picky it is Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services. 😃 -
We have never used it first night fur one reason or another. Have never had a problem moving it.

It's not Australia that is requiring the tests - it's Princess. Same for New Zealand. Both Australia and New Zealand dropped their test requirement but Princess is hanging on and dragging things out.
No. It’s state Govt regulations. Not Princess.

No one is asking you to come to he US but if you do you should respect customs like we do when we visit other countries
Well I hope if you visit a place where tipping is not the norm you would not tip.- 1

Simply because they're being catered to and it's customary.
Not customary where I’m from which is why grats are included in the fares we pay.- 2

Well worth it to us. We do full suites for shorter cruises but have opted for Club for the 2025 world cruise. It will be much more serene for breakfast than Horizon Court.

Thanks all. Got a good deal with Qantas Travel Insurance.

Have just booked for Feb next year on Majestic Princess which calls at Noumea. Princess advice you must have insurance that covers medical expenses and repatriation as well as Covid 19 cover. Wondering if any cruisers here have any suggestions which insurance company might fit the bill if they have taken this itinerary. Many thanks for any advice. Maurice.

@kenexxIt was neat to see a post from you. I thought I recognized your "name" and when I checked your list of cruises, it confirmed that we met you on the Dawn Princess in Sept. 2008. What a great cruise that was!
Yes that was one of the best cruises ever!

I've been trying for a couple of hours to get through. At first, I could not pick a cabin. Then another message said something about pricing not available. What's the use of being Elite if you can't book a cruise ahead of anyone else?
We were able to book from 0900 yesterday being 4 April here with Elite status.

2025 World cruise is up too. We’ve booked the full trip from Brisbane. So looking forward to this one.

I agree!!!
Has anyone else noticed that they are not offering the usual 35n Hawaii Sydney return cruise on the 24/25 brochure to be released tomorrow. They usually have 2 per year.
I jumped on and booked the March-April 2024 35n Hawaii cruise from Sydney yesterday. Not many decent cabins left, but picked up a nice balcony on Caribe deck.I think it must have been from a cancellation.
We were considering the 2025 WC, but the US travel insurance premium and the sail by Easter Island, had us rethinking.
We’re on this one in a suite. I was surprised to see when I checked a couple of days ago they still had suites on a guarantee basis.

We are trying for a club mini for the Brisbane/Brisbane. Fingers crossed!

It was because we missed 3 ports, as a goodwill gesture, to my understanding
That makes sense. Hope you enjoyed it all the same.

This was offerred to the passengers on the 28-night cruise as a goodwill gesture. I doubt if it would apply to the following 2-night cruise.
That’s what I was thinking. I didn’t understand when she said all passengers were getting it.

We just did the Sydney Brisbane part of this cruise. Had a great time but a staff member at the front desk said every passenger was getting a 15% credit on their next cruise due to not all facilities being available. Does anyone know more about this at all?

I got an Arlec one from Bunnings with 2 power sockets and 2 USB A and 2 USB C outlets. It’s very good.

Just disembarked this morning.
If you are wanting to catch a taxi from the cruise terminal, be prepared for a considerable wait.
Taxis were very scarce on the ground this morning. I'm not sure many drivers know where the cruise terminal is. On the way in on Sunday I had to direct our driver who had no idea where to go, or that there was anything to go to.
We waited about 45 minutes this morning. I thought there would be heaps of cabs lined up like at the airport.

For those who are still on board could please let me know what people are wearing to dinner, mainly men. Have you had any formal nights yet? How dressy or casual in the MDR? I've talked DH into bringing some dressy clothes eg dress pants, L/S shirt & tie. Just curious will he be overdressed on formal nights. Many thanks🙂
Disembarked this morning. Don’t think I saw any guys in a tie. Did see some jackets. Also saw the usual shorts and caps during the dinner service.
