At home I often drink what I refer to as "And Tonic" which is just tonic and lime without the Gin. I actually prefer the diet tonic for this. I know... It sounds horrible but it works for me. The temp here today will be 107 F so a nice And Tonic may be in the works for me today. (Friday and Saturday are predicted to be 111 F. Uggh...)
As for Scotch... I find it appropriate for any cruise - as long as it's a decent Scotch. The stuff offered for in-room consumption just doesn't make it at all. Give me a nice single-malt that's at least 12 years old. ;)
May I suggest you try the London No 1 blue Gin. It is very nice and the most beautiful pale blue in the glass.

There's a reason for that :')

Nothing. We leave the auto tip on and that covers it.
-
A friend of mine has used it and was happy with it. Not sure on rates etc.
Sure hope you don't have any flight delays!
-
Isn't this what the auto tip (which I never remove) is for. I don't tip on top of that.
-
I've always taken a 2 cup size auto shut off travel kettle on every Princess ship I've been on. Never been an issue and always left out in the open. It's essential for a proper cup of tea in the morning.
-
Always leave auto tips on so don't tip additional.

Let's not sugarcoat it. He is being an idiot and I'd just go without him anyway. Can't help those who don't want it.

a ha so theres different levels of elites
How interesting and amusing.
Don't go jumping to conclusions. I'm not Elite. But if I pay for a full suite I expect a higher level of service.
-
Those in full suites also get free laundry and report it comes back in one day even when elites not in a full suite have to wait several days.
Thats as it should be given the price that those of us who sail in full suites pay.

Thank you! For some reason when I expand his signature the expansion ends with that Carnival Holiday cruise in 07/93. It does not include the number of days at sea summary nor the link to Flickr so I appreciate your providing it.
You can scroll the signature area separately. Then the Flickr link shows up. Hope that helps!

Oh well we've booked the Brissy to HKG as well. Have booked a suite on Riviera deck. Don't do many cruises at the moment as running your own business gets in the way hence the splurge. Hopefully any problems will have been ironed out if there are any before we leave! :D

Oh well I'm happy to give it a go. Will be booking the Brisbane to Hong Kong.
-
I'm on the 20th floor at a hotel in Pattaya overlooking some of the port. Can't see the Diamond but I think it's behind a clump of buildings blocking some of the view. Hopefully I'll see it sail this evening
-
I'm assuming you never had to iron out a problem with the police or immigration officials.
No and nor would I expect to.

I'm in Bangkok at the moment. Was supposed to be on this cruise but cancelled it due to the high possibility of too many kids. I feel perfectly safe. Traffic is bad but that's nothing new. Shopping excellent as always. Food wonderful. Great place to spend some time.
-
Well I'm way bigger around the waist than Brisbane41 and a lot heavier and I had no "issues" with these toilet seats in the suite on the Diamond last year. I was so pressed I now have one at home. I don't mind sitting a little longer for the full wash and dry :D:D
-
We have been in C750 on the Diamond and them beam wasn't an issue for us.
It was a really nice suite although I still far prefer side suites rather than aft.

We had a couple of FCC s that I had forgotten about expire. Didn't know until the 2 checks/cheques tuned up in the mail from Santa Clarita. Back charged AUD15 per check but because the AUD to USD had dropped we didn't come out all that bad in the end.

A great big yuck from me :D

Amazes me that some people ever leave their houses. New bedding is fine with me.
-
Yeah, you missed it, it was dramatic. She threw the food she had away from her beach tote and we left. Thanks for the support though. Keep spreading the hate.
Nothing to do with hate. It's simply respecting the law of the particular place you are visiting.
-
No tip from us as it is included in the surcharge.

Anytime worked just fine on the Dawn on the San Francisco to Sydney repo in 2008. This is the major reason we don't really sail on the Aussie Princess ships. Except for a quickie in February to make Elite. Detest traditional dining.

No it's not on the ships but if you are a Gin fan it's one to look out for at your liquor store.
