Looking to do the 4 day in February and wondering which to choose. Itineraries are the same.

Ships look to be almost identical...so what I'm wondering is

I known these itinerary are often considered 'booze cruise' which is not our style thus the reason for Feb, as traditionally not the best weather in that area....just want the break and ports....plus...its a free gift....so just want advice on ships.

Boarding in Vancouver tomorrow. What is the earliest we can check baggage with handlers. Want to see the city without luggage. Don't need to check into board...just a luggage dump.

Got for it. Get good travel insurance. We ended up missing a port last October, and also tacked on an extra day at the end because of a hurricane. Just be prepared for worst case and cover your bases.

There is a 2 ports day. 2 hours in each port.....I did a triple-take when looking at the itinerary.

With all the inclusions (drinks, grats, excursion) we are looking to do a Suite. Which is still less than big names cost. And an itinerary we like better.

I always read the books. What a fun surprise.

Color catchers by Shout. They are fantastic. You toss all colors.....whites.... darks into a load. No bleeding. The sheets take on the colors......of course don't put brand new jeans or new red shirt in, just to be careful. But they are glorious to get it all done at once. Underngarement, work out clothes. Highly recomend

Don't know why he needed four. I don't remember him having an excessive amount of dirty clothes with him.

Such great news. The line seems like a blast from the past. Small, no frills, quality service. I like that on a port intensive itinerary. No need for the frills if I'm not even on ship except to eat and sleep. Would love to hear from your 'forum friend' who went to Cuba and Greece with them.

I sailed them once, years ago (2005) as part of a land tour. If you book a land tour to Greece than includes a 3 or 4 day cruise, it will be on Celestyal (used to be Louis Lines). The ship was small, under 20,000 tons, very basic. But the service was excellent. Food was great! We were a professional group of maybe 30, maybe less. The first night I wouldn't let the waiter take my salad plate because I wanted to dip the delicious bread in the remaining dressing. He came back with a dish of dressing and each night thereafter there was one at my place. Not many amenities but hey, we saw six islands in four days. They are sometimes mentioned on the Other Cruise Lines board here. If they have your dream itinerary, give them a try. I believe their HQ is in Limassol, Cyprus. EM

People, people... As the OP I only asked for input to the original question, what are some good jokes I could play on friends (consensual & participator adults) while going on vacation with them. That was it! I sought input, not opinion. Then others commented about how we are taking away precious time from workers that work 14 hour days from their vacation, then to peoples opinion about TV programs & hate crimes... SERIOUSLY ??!!??

 

I only asked for input to my question, NOT OPINION on what your interpretation is about MY vacation, with MY friends keeping this light hearted & friendly - HATE CRIMES - Really ? Disappointing with how this has evolved and appreciate the people who have contributed funny topics they have done. Those people have simply answered the question, and opinion is what has lead us here.

 

I would request that we move back the original intent of the post, keep it light hearted as I am hopeful we can agree that there are far more serious topics to engage upon (such as another senseless school shooting today) than my original request.

What I have found....very 'Greek', smaller, not a lot of bells and whistles. Which we are ok with. After port intense days. We don't need night life.

In May we were on a repositioning cruise and there was a naturalist on board. Her life focus was on whales....I was asking about our upcoming Alaska trip and she made the comment that whales are better at ISP than Juneau. How they have moved and there is a much larger group...and less boats.

Therefore if you can ISP for whale watching.

Ok another question. We dock at 8....can we get to Mendenhall hike to nugget falls and photo point (40yrs, active) see the visitor center and them back to catch float plane for 1230 tour? Happy to uber or taxi to speed up transfers to/from.
