  1. Good afternoon Cruise Critic experts. Does anyone know if there is prepaid parking available at the port. I do not want to use outside parking. Also, can anyone tell me how smoothly the parking system works there. I am driving from central Florida on the day of embarkation and would like to make sure I give myself enough time. Thank-you!:)

  2. we did the Fury Catamaran-snorkeling in Cozumel-booked through the ship-It was really a fun day! Great crew who kept the entire boat entertained.

We also booked through the ship-Mayan Ruins-not Chichen Itza-too long of a drive to get there.-Chaccoben Ruins, it was interesting. many ruins to walk through and an interesting guide who just about knew it all.

Was supposed to be going to the eastern caribbean but were diverted to cozumel and costa maya, so we booked these excursions on the knowledge of the Rahul the concierge.

    We had a great time!

  3. Royal Caribbean ships are a great option if you like music. they have cozy areas for alone time with your hubby where you can share a nice drink or two in the evening. Get a table for 2 in the mdr or specialty restaurants. a balcony, if you can swing it, with battery operated candles at night and a bottle of champagne and strawberries is romantic. nothing beats looking at the night sky from your balcony with someone you love!<3

  4. Having been touched by the OCD fairy myself, I have on a cruise or two, washed the plates and such in the bathroom sink, dried them with a washcloth and left them somewhere in my own room for the room steward to take the next time he or she comes in. However, I am not the guardian of the dirty dishes for the rest of the cruisers. Who am I to judge.:)

  5. Just mix and match whatever you want to eat on the dining room menu. i found the servers in the dining room happy to combine entrees and sides to make a full plate. vegetables/rice/potatoes/pasta etc. i know there are different types of vegetarians such as my niece who won't even eat something if it is on the same plate with meat. so it is a personal preference how much or how little is available. the vegetarian option each night is mostly acceptable and tasty. some nights better than others but you can always make it work, especially if you add a salad. :D

  6. I realize how quick the turnaround is and how hard the crew works to get the ships ready for the next cruise.

As soon as I get in the cabin I Lysol spray the door handles,(inside and outside ) light switches, television remotes, telephone, luggage handles, faucets and toilet handle.I figure if it doesn't help it can't hurt- especially for the next family who moves on in and does nothing. It may seem a little extreme but it seems to work for me. I also try to NEVER touch my eyes, nose, mouth while out and about on the ship. I'd rather be overly cautious and a little OCD than sick on my vacation.

  7. I sailed on the Oasis in may of 2017 and the lights on many of the slot machines were not working. I think they could remedy this by installing newer slots. As for the service buttons, many times I just had to wait until an attendant walked by and grab them!
