Purchased 2 weeks internet while on the Ventura for Christmas. I purchased for the full trip enabling me to check emails and send staff salaries as normal throughout as well as visiting web pages. The cost was £10 per day but if you pick and choose your days it is £12.50 per 24 Hours.
The speed has improved since last time onboard but do not expect very fast speeds. Again as other poster said I put this down to the business.
If you contact P&O before the cruise the price is the same so just as easy to do itas soon as you board.

It has just been announced that President Trump & President Puttin are to meet in Helsinki on the 16th July 2018. This is the same day as we are arriving on theSapphirePrincess. Wonder how this is likely to affect the village with the heightened security expected?
-
The luggage roller commences at 11-30am for each cruise. We often leave our luggage and then head into town.
-
In May we arrived at 11-30am and were in the priority line. We were on-board by 1200 Hrs. Your boarding ticket should say Priority when you print it and if so you can book in as soon as they start the process.

IOn the Sapphire refit in March they replaced the carpets and you will see small red dots in the pattern on the port side (left facing the front) and small green dots on the Starboard side (Right side facing the front)

A question that I don't believe has been asked so far in this thread? If you exchange the mini bar for the coffee card that will now be on your cruise card, Will you now have to hand over your cruise card each time you ask for a brewed coffee or tea to allow them to check if you still have at least one speciality coffee in credit?
If this is the case then it will be worth doing a check on the computerised accounts periodically to establish if they have actually charged you for it?
It would be interesting to hear from anybody who has experienced this so far as we are on the Sapphire in 3 week's.

As soon as I find out on the 7th July (Sapphire) I will let you all know.

We are on the Sapphire in a few of week's and are doing a Back2Back2Back and always exchange our Mini bar for the coffee card. As we are able to transfer any OBC and internet minutes over to the next cruise it will be interesting when I ask as to what the answer will be about the coffee card carrying over. I have asked princess and they say I hacve to ask when I am onboard.

When we were onboard in May my connection in the cabin was so slow and kept dropping. As I need it for business purposes I had to take my laptop into a public area and reception was then good.
-
Unfortunately not. However the top shelf where the old style TV used to be has a double US point. We took a US/UK convertor and then a small 4 plug UK extension lead and plugged all of our appliances into it. It worked well and was never unplugged by the cabin steward. It is also out of the way. Also as a key card is not required to enable power in the cabin anything on charge will stay on permanently. (Albeit shouldn't be left alone)

A few weeks ago we boarded at 11-15 and our cabin was available. After depositing the hand luggage we took a stroll around the ship and at 12.30 went for lunch. However the MDR was not open and we were directed to Horizon Court.
-
As we are doing a B2B2B in July I have just ordered 6 x Water package but as the ship is sailing from the uk it was in £ sterling rather than dollars.
-
Some times they do and sometimes they don't. It really depends on how many guests are on B2B as this port is a change over port. However depending on where the ship discharges the wall could be just under 15 minutes. (Ocean Terminal)

We are in this cabin in July, could you tell us is the bed head against the window wall or side wall please?
-
The new TV is great and right in the middle at the bottom of the bed. Only thing is that they are not reliable. We lost our reception for the last 2 days earlier this month after the ship had a power cut.

Sorry I was of the opinion that we were not allowed to name companies. In which case I would highly recommend SPB Tours. We used them last year and will certainly be using them again in July while on the Sapphire. Their tours include a traditional Russian lunch (Plenty of Vodka).
The Guide was also wonderful and even showed us a few places that were not officially on the tour.
-
Used a local company who specialise for the whole area of the cruise Not allowed to name them but if you use the initials of the place in russia and look for the Orange themed website, you have found the correct one. They are very much cheaper than the cruise line and they arrange the Visa at no additional cost. Very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. They also cover Copenhagen, and the other locations visited on the cruise.

I always used to book another cruise while on the current cruise and it was always transferred to my TA. However just recently I realised that the TA I used had firstly, changed the way you pay your balance making it harder for us as we live outside of the UK, and secondly the final payment date is 6 week's earlier than the date given by both P&O and Princess. I showed the price offered by the TA to the future cruise sales staff and they matched it. Also needing to contact them over a small Military OBC matter I got to speak direct with the office rather than having to go through the TA
No longer booking through a TA.

It amuses me every time this subject comes up on CC. If I was staying in a hotel for a week or month would I have additional costs (Gratuities) placed on my bill? NO. Although the same person has cleaned my room every day they are not expecting a tip.
It is a straight forward case of making additional profit at the cost of the customer. I received a letter near the end of a recent cruise and it went straight in the bin.

You have the same space in the OV & Ow cabins as the D deck balconies. We never have a problem and my DW always takes too many pairs of shoes (and dresses)

We eat in the buffet every evening as we didn't feel like sitting in the restaurant. Each evening there was a "Corner" be it Curry & Pies, Indian, Chinese , Italian etc. As well as these there were the usual roast meals, Fish and various vegetables. The salads were in the middle and there was always a counter with fresh fruit, cheese and biscuits.
The desserts are served separately outside of the self service area and there is a large variety of items to choose from. The staff were excellent and insisted on getting Tea and Coffee for you and continually being attentive and asking if you needed anything else. Well recommended.

Fully concur with everything you said. We had a really good week also. Unfortunately there was a request yesterday for blood donors on-board for a critically ill person. This person was later evacuated from the ship by helicopter to Plymouth. Hoping that everything goes well for them?

We live in the UK and wondered if anybody knows when they will be advertising Xmas & New Year cruises from the USA? I notice that the Australasia cruises are out.

I don't see how it can be classed as cheating. I am certain there are Millions of cruise passengers around the world who do the quizzes find at some time the same questions as they have heard before. If this is the case then you are saying that the person asking the questions should never ask the same question ever again??? I certainly have and if you do them yourself you will have also I am certain.
At the end of the day it is a bit of fun and all to win a "Gold Sticker"
