It appears that I have to pay my final cruise payment 90 days before sailing. Do reservations (entertainment, restaurant, etc..) open up at 90 days also or if I pay off the balance earlier will I be able to make reservations earlier?

Hold it, I'm trying to follow along with this. Why not just take the Paulus Hook Ferry which is pretty much at the exit of the Exchange Place Path station? According to their app they have a Paulus to 39 Ferry route.

Staying at the Hyatt in Exchange Place the night before cruise. Traveling to the pier, it appears that I can take the Holland tunnel or the Lincoln tunnel. Any opinions on which one would be the easiest on a Sunday morning?

Thanks for the replies. We have selected the NCL Escape to Bermuda (June 2018). If some folks with teens could post their teen's thoughts on the ship, I would appreciate it!

So for the return trip to the Hilton, did you all do self disembarkation or do the zone thing. Ultimately trying to figure out what time to have the transport meet us.

So if you stay in NJ, how do you get back across after the cruise? I hear taxis that will make that trip are in short supply or cost double.

In that case the way the sofa bed works is better in the mini suites.

I'm unfamiliar with any differences in the sofa beds. Can you elaborate?

I am looking at booking 8738 or 8138 on the Escape. It looks like both just catch the front edge of the theater. I am wondering if we'll have a lot of noise from below. Thoughts?

4 time cruiser 14 yrs ago (Carnival HAL) NCL Rookie.

Looking to take an NCL Escape cruise to Bermuda in the nearfuture and trying to wrap my head around what to expect. Any advice will be appreciated.

When sailing in the past food and entertainment wereincluded in the cruise fare. Drinks,shore excursions, photos were not. Whatcan I expect with NCL?

In the past, we selected which dining session we wanted toparticipate in (early, late). It appears that has changed drastically in thecruise industry. How do diningreservations work on NCL ?

If you are using various dining rooms during the trip, doyou tip after each meal or are they still putting the tip charge on youraccount at the end of the trip?

It’s been so long since I have cruised not to mention that Iam an NCL rookie, I really don’t even know what to ask. What do I need to know?

Of course, you are going to be on the cruise too, aren't you? And I assume that you will be picking up the cost. Which do you think YOU would prefer? While Celebrity might not have all the bells and whistles imaginable, they do have enough to keep someone getting a free ride happy.

Hmm, I didn't realize that my teens had control over me. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll have to watch my back now. LOL.. We would prefer to have a situation that is good for all of us, if that exists. Hopefully that's not as ridiculous as you make it sound.

Can't decide on Cruise Line for a Bermuda Cruise with 2 teen boys and wife. We have sailed Carnival and HAL in the past. NCL Escape seems too big at 4K passengers and the Celebrity cruise doesn't seem to have enough to keep the teens happy. Is there a ship that will meet our needs?
